Great review. Having skated the same shell size, I agree with pretty much all of it. Oysi frames were indeed a great match on these, but my only real complaint was that it just felt slower for some reason. Like I tried a few different frames on these boots that I'd had on others, and they always felt slower on the Blanks. Lengthwise they were indeed a good fit on me with Intuitions, but I'd bang my toes occasionally. I ended up moving to Fifth Elements after these just because I prefer the fit, but the Blanks are indeed a great skate for the money.
Great review, really enjoy your videos. You’re very thorough and it’s very enjoyable to see you skate. I used to ride Rollerblade deluxe and, after a 20+year hiatus, I decided to get back to online skating. I bought a pair of SK blanks last summer. My main complaints with the skates are the frames aren’t great for riding flat, the skates are heavy and the cuff is stiff. 3 months later I bought a pair of Aeons and had an easier time learning. They’re lighter, more flexible and have a wide h-block. I feel the Aeons are better for getting started and the blanks become interesting once you get more comfortable grinding.
i never rode the stock frames flat but like them on this skate for anti rocker. skates are a bit heavier for sure but for me did not impact performance. cuffs were a bit stiff to start which is why i threw in the tip for more flex with lacing liners. cuffs loosened up after a month of skating or so and got even flexier with time.
I agree the liners were surprisingly good. I use Intuition premium liners in the Blanks now as they fit my foot perfectly but the stock liners were very good.
Couldn't agree more in regards to the Blank liners. I have now upgraded to RL2 liners for my Standard Omni, but the blank was amazing too. Can't beat it for the price!
thanks! buckle protector was great, only scraped buckle on slide outs but never smashed it on a ledge. there is no bridge hardware since the soul plate has a hole in it for the frame to mount to the boot. hardware was solid and didnt bend, move, or warp.
I agree, they are heavier but once they are on your feet you don’t notice because how well they fit with the shell break and inserts. I’ve been riding then with tnec frames. Having that extra few mm for the frame to sink in is noticeable and a really confident ride.
I think rb made a big batch of fualty 60mm hydrogens. I had got some for 20 bucks on sale and they are a great compound. probably the best I tried but the cores were weird on some the and they where mis=shaped a bit brand new
Enjoyed your detailed and technical review. Thanks a lot 👍🏻
much appreciated! 🤙

I think it’s the souls that feel slower. they are really wide and more surface area =more drag resistance

i really want to try the new nomad liners

it really is a good liner
subscribing bro what a breath of fresh air. A lot of channels that have such agendas or biases or are otherwise compromised
thanks for watching!
and appreciate the feedback!
Good review! How well does the buckle protector work? What does the bridge hardware look like?

So how does the soul plate mount the the boot? Just the ufs bolts?
@@joshcontreras8821 screws on the bottom and receivers inside the shell. Soul plate is solidly secured

What size blanks did you get, you and I always have the same size I’ve noticed!
i got the 9-9.5 for my 275 mondo. thanks for watching!
What length laces do you have in?
70” to 84” fit the blanks well

that is possible. stock wheels have a reputation of generally not being the best
Those wheels are £60 for 4 here in the UK. Not a cheap wheel at all !
When I said cheap I was talking from quality perspective.
i like when u say ASSthetic
ha!
