lmaooooo the rollin & scratchin "screech" sound is very overly aggressive in this set, Daft Punk can barely keep up with how powerful it is hahahaha so good
The one and only time I saw them play live and they were mostly unknowns at the time, playing to a 1/2 full tent, at around 3pm... So sad I’ll never get to see them again..
@@nutster9000 I don’t doubt it was crammed by ‘97 but the ‘96 Tribal Gathering appearance was pre Homework release. I hadn’t heard of them back then and only really saw them by chance. I remember going back and telling everyone I could how great they were and were going to be huge. The rest is history.
@@djjfive I vaguely remember seeing them at TG in 96. Those events were amazing. Went to all the Tribal Gathering shows & the Planet Dog all nighters that sort of preceded them. Glad I did & still got all the tickets & flyers from them all.
@@nutster9000 Global Gathering was arguably the best festival the U.K. has ever seen. The line up was unbelievable, Leftfield, Underworld, Chemical Brothers, Goldie and Daft Punk all on the same night would be unlikely to ever happen again.
@@matthewjimenez9861 completely forgot about that comment but after getting more info about dapu since then i definitely know they didn't play glasto in 2000. there is 0 official recorded records of that ever happening and they didn't go on tour that year. I think we will never get the entire Alive 1997 set from Que Club, but I really bet it will sound just like Mayan's since both were from the Daftendirektour.
Un año antes de Homework... tuvo que ser un shock pa los allí presentes. Por cierto, menuda noche en aquel escenario: Leftfield, Chemical Brothers, Underworld...
@@goodmania23 You must have been at a different concert, because a full and higher quality version of this set was re-broadcast in on BBC Radio 1. It did end with Alive, and didn't have Around The World in it.
These two guys are gonna be huge one day.
Guy Manuel Going crazy on those 909s gives me life
It's Thomas the one who controls the 909 and Guy-Man the Linndrum
This chord memory sounds insane!!! I like a lot that mini part of looped bass 7:22 and then suddenly rolling and scratching cocaine version 🤯

I think this Rollin' and Scratchin' live version is the best one, just pure aggressiveness...
They had a short 20 minute set so they really had to impress the audience with new music
