That litle girl is now almost 15 years old and over 6 f tall. She is the new queen of jazz, the best vocalist in the world, the velvet queen, the girl whit a 1000 voices, she is music, acording to Quincy Jones the best talent since MJ and acording to singer/songwriter/producer Dakota from Stargate insanly talented. At 7/8 she won Norway got talent, at 13 she got a Golden Buzzer in AGT-Champion and a WOW from Queen after her verson of Bohemian Rahpsody.

You just stumbled on to the "Baby" version of the most versatile vocal artist of my lifetime & I'm in my 70's. I stumbled on to her 3 years ago & binge watched everything she has ever uploaded to YT. I haven't missed a day of listening to her since then. She has jazz flowing in her veins, but she has experimented with most other music genre & has dropped at least 1 vocal masterpiece in each genre. She has written 4 original songs & has recorded 2 others that were written specifically for her. After 6 years of declining offers from major labels, including Disney, She got an offer she couldn't refuse from Republic Records. I recommend you get up to speed by reacting to her newest original song & 1st to be released under her new label, called Million Miles. It's about the loss of her maternal grandpa about a year ago, but she says it's for anyone that's lost a loved one. She's 14 in the video, but she turns 15 in 2 days. Welcome to Angelina's world. Buckle up if you are going to take this ride down the rabbit hole of over 120 covers and other videos that she has recorded between the ages of 6 and 14 which is her current age. She has already established herself as an accomplished Jazz artist. Her preferred genre is Jazz but she has done covers of about every genre you can name. What you will find in Angelina is a vocalist who doesn't do vocal gymnastics, she simply and beautifully interprets the story and meaning of the song and pours her soul into every performance.
Another thing about Angelina is that she is completely in control of the music she sings. She picks the songs and arranges them herself the way she wants them to be done. In the "I put a spell on you" video, when she was 9 years old, she is seen handing some written notes to the band director. The were her "wishes" about changes she would like in the arrangement.
Angelina has sung all over the world for Nobel Laureates, heads of state, music icons, and other dignitaries. She has performed everywhere from small weddings of a few people, to London's O2 stadium, and Seoul South Korea with 40,000 people. She performs at jazz festivals, conferences, and charity benefits. At the age of 14, she is a seasoned performer with 8 years of recording and performing. Many of her live performances when she was 10, 11, and 12 years old blow away even the original adult performers of the songs she sings. She is definitely worth your time to experience and get to know. You've done it now. You have fallen into the vortex of Angelina Jordan who arguably brings the most confident, versatile, seemingly effortless, and fearless vocal artistry found today (whether measured across artists, genres, or decades). You may think this an exaggeration but listen to a few more of her many performances (130+ covers and original songs - all on YT) and you will see! It is the rare singer that can, as Angelina has done, go from Dinah Washington (as here) to Billie Holiday to "Screamin" Jay Hawkins to Queen to Adele to Elvis to Whitney Houston to Etta James to Amy Winehouse to Miley Cyrus (and many others in between) and do them all justice! If you want to hear music, listen to anyone. If you want to feel music, listen to Angelina. She will stagger you with her ability to find and bring forth the 'essence', the emotional message of nearly any song. You have far to go with Angelina. She started here with Sara Bareilles cover of this Elton John classic and added some AJ "flavorings". She is equally comfortable and equally able to impact us whether singing a cappella, accompanied only by a piano or guitar, in front of studio professional musicians or an 50 piece military band. You just became aware of, IMO, the most naturally talented vocalist of my 62 years. Angelina Jordan is the ONLY vocalist to ever make me cry. I hope you will check out more of her 130 cover songs, spanning 80 different artists, along with her 4 original songs. Her debut album with Republic Records is due at any time, after Republic sets up their world wide promotion. There is a lot to learn about Angelina. Here is part of a biography I compiled.
Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman, who has chosen to keep his life private.
Angelina started singing around 18 months of age after listening to Whitney Houston on TH-cam. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was considered a prodigy as an artist and poet and married a Japanese man who passed away in 2019.
Angelina speaks Norwegian, Farci, English and Japanese.
Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where she received vocal training starting around age 4. Angelina plays the piano, violin, guitar and flute and also paints. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage.
At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina befriended this girl who was wearing soiled clothing and no shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true.
Angelina so moved by the poor girl, took off her favorite sea green ankle boots and gave them to the poor shoeless girl. Angelina promised the girl she would perform barefoot until every child on Earth has shoes. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East.
Angelina asked her mother to enter her in Norway’s Got Talent (NGT) at age 5 but that talent show had a minimum age requirement of 7.
Angelina at age 6 did record a few songs in a recording studio, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 6 year old.

singing jazz at 1-1/2. I've heard her first studio like
presentation in Norway when she was 6 but nothing
prior to that. Add in that English is not her first language
and you can only attribute her talent to that of a rare, rare
prodigy. Her grandma, Persian artist Mery Zamani, was a
child prodigy so that could explain it. Also, now at 6 ft. tall
with her dark hair and piercing eyes, I can see how much
of her grandmother's looks are in this 'Persian Princess'. She
sure doesn't look like she's Scandanavian (Norwegian and
Swedish) , who are known for blond hair. After watching her
latest 'Million Miles' performance, where she is 14, I can see
her going from the model's 'runway' to the concert stage in a
'New York Minute' !
