    Thanks for the video. It's very helpful. How do I mask AND track an area of the video whereas I want the bottom layer to show through, but the scale, shape, and size of the masked object (let's say a window) is changing?

    Thanks. Can you draw masks in FCPX? Like if you want to completely single out an object that isn't a square or circle?

    Thanks so much for the video, it' quite helpful, is it possible that u can make a video about the use of a key frame please?

  • @AngeliqueASMR
    @AngeliqueASMR 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is awesome! So you could change your hair colour and even say a light or anything in your video. The once thing I got confused on, is when you said you will jump 10 frames.. how did you know hoe many frames and did you press 10? lol sorry completely confused there!

    • @Theprimarystoryline
      @Theprimarystoryline  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much, and you're absolutely right about changing hair color, lights, etc! As for the 10 frames, you can use the left/right arrow keys to move one frame at a time. If you hold Shift and use the arrow keys you can jump 10 frames at a time. With no clips selected on the timeline, you could also just type "+36" and press return to jump 36 frames forward or "-48" to go back 48 frames. Hope this helps!

    Is there any way of drawing a color correction mask, the shape method isnt precise enough for what I need. thx

    • @Theprimarystoryline
      @Theprimarystoryline  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmmm, this isn't something that's easily accomplished in Final Cut Pro X. It is, however, something that DaVinci Resolve is quite capable of. I'll add an advanced color masks tutorial to my list of things to record!

    • @waawaaweewaa2045
      @waawaaweewaa2045 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks I figured it out, its just a couple extra steps as far as layers are concerned. This seems like an oversimplification of fcpx features, they should simply incorporate the option to have a precision draw tool in the mode you were using. Apples way of leaning out this software is at times completely counterproductive.
