That was actor Johnathan Pryce, not Spielberg. The High Sparrow on G.O.T., The Two Popes, The Crown, Brazil (a Terry Gilliam movie that I HIGHLY recommend), Pirates of the Caribbean, Something Wicked This Way Comes...

What? That was not Pryce. Not sure if that was Spielberg either, I'm terrible with faces, but no way that was Pryce. Also, why would they pan to Pryce during a joke about Hollywood executives?
As a side note, all Terry Gilliam films are highly recommended. Perhaps the most brilliant director still alive today. Certainly the most underrated.
@@renx81 I am good with faces. I just googled "who was sitting next to Glen Close at the 2020 Golden Globes", and it popped up Jonathan Pryce. They obviously were taken with the negative look on his face.

The best thing is all the things he says are factual and true, he isn’t just trashing people - he makes the point that NOT being able to say these things about what actually goes on is the actual joke! Thats why nobody ever tries to sue him because its all facts - he’s exposing the hypocrisy of all the Hollywood celebrities who assume they are outside the law and morality of everyday society yet pretend to be virtuous. He is brilliant 👍

The craziest thing is that all of that “comedy” is true, that’s how pathetic things have become. I love how Ricky just doesn’t care who’s toes he stomps on, he’s saying what everyone else is thinking, they just can’t believe that someone has the nerve to say it out loud, especially at at ridiculous award ceremony. It does make him a great comedian though, to be able to call out the atrocities that have been going on and get a laugh, that takes talent. That's what comedy is supposed to be like. It's what it used to be. Ricky is one who will always defend that fact.
This this was filmed in Jan 2020 his opening salvo of " we're all going to die soon and there's no sequel " was fairly prophetic. 😣

Have not been able to watch an award show since that night, knowing more than likely no other host would ever have the guts to do what Ricky Gervais did that night.
I would recommend "Pilot | Learn English with Ricky Gervais." It is on the long side, but a number of reactors have reacted to it. It doesn't get blocked. And it's very well done, nice build. I think you'd have fun with it.
