Lonesome everything... man, mountains, river, trails , and, that’s what makes the whole thing so watchable..... neither crowd nor noise... Mother Nature at her silent best .

Patagonia Provisions camping food especially the spicy Buffalo jerky. So yummy! Amazing video and stunning landscapes. I’m scared of solo hiking/camping (Lol), therefore props to you. 🙏
Thanks so much James and glad to hear you enjoyed the video! It can be a bit intimidating but not as bad as one might think. Hope you give it a go :) The jerky sounds amazing but unfortunately that's not available over here yet, but jerky generally is a great trip snack!
Preikestolen is such a fun hike, this makes me miss Norway so much. I am really surprised though that there were no other people around, I remember it being super crowded on the top anytime after 7:00 in the morning.
Thanks so much Karin and glad you enjoyed the video! Was really surprised by that as well, but I guess due to unstable weather and being early in the season it was just a handful of people who were all out by the night. Prob will be a lot of people during the summer days though :)
I haven't hiked much since the pandemic started in 2020. Been looking to go for one soon. This video is so inspiring, man. Hope you have many more beautiful adventures ahead.
The light at 9:11 was just epic!! Wind like that can make for some incredible light and colour. I am glad you stayed safe during your time up there. Seemingly not many people at all like there used to be. I have not been at Preikestolen myself but all that variety in the landscape on the way up makes this hike so rich. Have you been at Kjeragbolten? Similary fantastic hike. This video was fantastic to watch, so well shot and edited, Joel, as always! It makes one yearn for a proper good hike in Norway. Thank you for making it and sharing!
Thank you for watching and glad to hear you enjoyed the video! It's usually very crowded but maybe due to unstable weather I got the place all for myself which was truly amazing. Have not been to Kjeragbolten yet but hopefully soon! :)
I loved this video. Your yellow jacket reminded me of Jonas Kahnwald from Dark... 😅 Actually, the entire scenery of the video reminded me a bit about Dark. Nevertheless, great video (particularly the drone shots). Can we call the unofficially the European Kraig Adams? Thank you for sharing this. Regards from the Dominican Republic.
Thank you so much for the feedback Rafael. So glad to hear you enjoyed the video and have to check what Dark is! Love what Kraig does so I take the compliment :)
Very inspiring. How do you find this tent? I am considering to buy it for trip to Lofoten, very impressive weight, but structure seems weak and not strong enough for north winds. What is your experience with it?
Thank you very much, and glad you enjoyed it! Found the tent on a Norwegian online store, and so far been really happy with it, especially with its weight and simple construction. For more harsh conditions a tunnel tent is likely a better option as those hold better in strong winds :)
Hi Joel, what a great video of your overnight backpacking trip to Priekestolen. What brand of tent did you use, and how much does it weigh? Has it been a good packpacking tent in your expérience?
Thank you very much Michael! It's MSR Hubba NX and weighs about 1kg total and packs small. Super light and easy to setup and been enjoying it a lot. It is small, but just enough space for solo trips.
Been looking to wild camp near preikestolen, this inspired me even more! Been camping with my dad since I was young, now my first time solo camping in June at preikestolen! Any tips for the hike and stay there?
So nice to hear that and thank you, glad you enjoyed it! I would recommend going there during weekdays to have less people around, and try to find a spot with a decent wind block. It can get really windy during the nights if you are in an exposed spot like I was haha! Good luck :)
how do you navigate through all your hikes? Are there clear indicators to lead your path like walkways/ cobbled paths etc? Or do you pre-plan them with references to help you?
Great question. Really depends on the hike. If it's relatively common, there are usually markings on the way, but sometimes it's just Google Earth research and planning my route online beforehand.
During summer season it can get a bit crowded, but I highly recommend a sunrise hike for the chance to be alone. It's a relatively short hike (under 2h up) so camping is optional. :)
Thanks for sharing the video and allowing us to join you virtually. I’d otherwise never in my life see these amazing places. If I may ask, what camera(s) do you use for recording? Thanks again.
Glad you enjoyed it and my pleasure! Happy to hear this excited to share more. Normally I use Olympus E-M1 II and Canon R5 plus DJI Mavic Air 2 drone :)
Bro im scared just seeing you on the edge like that. That looks insane
Beautiful video you have inspired me to go here thanks so calming to
These are heart trembling scenes.. thank you
Thank you for watching and glad you enjoyed :)

Glad you enjoyed and I agree that it's a whole another experience cutting off the man-made noise.
Thats beautiful.
What a amazing video. And a beautiful hike! Wauw...

So beautiful and no crowds makes it even better.
Thanks so much, and absolutely agree that it was a lot nicer with no people around.

Hi,
Are there water streams on the way to refill water bottle?
first song sounds amazing, like something out of mysterious cities of gold, does anyone know the name?
New sub here. Beautiful film, such incredible scenery! How cold was it overnight camped up on a peak like that?
Camping food: Uncle Ben’s rice and Spam, .... cheap, portable, tasty and ready in 2 minutes, no water wasted and little fuel
Thanks so much! Have to try that since I most often just roll with quick snacks, but this sounds great.
How the heck was nobody there on your way up and overnight and at sunrise
I thought drone flying was banned at preikestolen? Will go there in May and really want to take the dji with me to shoot simular epic shots.
Good to always check the regulations, and I have learned to be cautious so flying with a permission. :)
Been looking to wild camp near preikestolen, this inspired me even more! Been camping with my dad since I was young, now my first time solo camping in June at preikestolen! Any tips for the hike and stay there?

what is name of the location? how long did you walk to this spot and from where ? sorry many questions
The name of the location is in the title :) The hike up there would be around 1h 30min without shooting, and less time back down :)
11:52 NOOOO!!! DONT LEAVE ME! Hahahahahahahahaha

hello, is there a specific route (mapped for tourists) which you took or you made your own, id love to hike the same route,
Thanks for watching! Yes, there is a great mapped route up. Hope you get to do the hike and enjoy the view!
Hello, Joel! Excuse me, how can I legally get your permission for using this for a music video?
Hey, glad you enjoyed and please feel free to reach out via email and we can sort it out.
Hi. I am a photographer. What time can I be take some photos without people? Do I have to camp up there?
