The TH-cam algorithm, in its infinite 'wisdom' 😁Put your 1st video on my feed. Typically, I watch reno vloggers in Europe (mostly chateau owners in France). But, I guess youtube thinks I should watch things closer to home. 😉 I currently own a home in NH of the same vintage and style as yours. I'm MUCH older than you and have lived here a long, long time. But, my first home reno was a farmhouse in Colchester, CT. That house was around the same vintage. Your house looks remarkably familiar to me. But ... I guess "they all look alike" ;-) I'm not sure where you're located. So I'm left wondering if it's a house I've actually seen. Or, if it just looks like all the others. Anyway ... a "quick tip" I thought I'd share (even tho' I won't be watching to the end). I use my shopvac to remove ALL the water from the toilet and tank. My shopvac is one of my favorite tools. Actually, I have three of them. One is very light so I can carry it up the ladder. I use it for things like cleaning gutters or to clean siding after sanding, before painting. I've NEVER understood why people would use a powerwasher before painting. Not only does it pit the wood and make a HUGE mess, but also moisture is the leading cause for paint failure. So why anyone thinks it's a good thing to introduce more moisture into wood is beyond me. 🤨 But, anyway ... Good luck with your renovations! I'll probably look in periodically to see how you're doing.
