    Hi Yuva! Just wanted to let you know that I had been binging your videos since a week and they really helped me prepare for my exam. Gave my exam yesterday and even though there were quite a few technical difficulties, I was able to complete it on time. Was mostly worried about reading since it was the section I was struggling with the most while preparing. Happy to tell you that I scored 28 in Reading and 27 in Listening. All thanks to your videos! ❤️

    Thanks for the tips. My unofficial scores for reading and listening are 26 and 30. Not really aiming for high scores. Just enough to get my license. Im crossing my fingers that i got the 26 for speaking. If not, i will just try again. I didnt prepare much. I watched your videos few days before my exam and practiced speaking seriously 2 days before my exam. I also didn’t get to practice writing. I just followed your tips.
    So just hoping for the best. I am aware speaking is not one of my strengths.
    I just want you to know I appreciated your youtube content. It really helped me a lot to get familiarized with the exam.

    My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. Thanks to the author of the channel for this interesting video! Good luck to everyone who studies a foreign language and wants to realize their full potential!

    Hey juva thank you so much for your videos. They are awesome!
    Still, I got a question. How would you use your time?
    How many minutes on
    skimming the passage
    reading the question
    Reading the passage in detail
    and finally answering the question

    • @juva
      @juva  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Felix, I'm so glad you like the videos :). It's difficult to give an estimate because you may need more time for some questions and less time for others. Generally, you have between 1 and 2 minutes per question. Try to find the information in the passage as quickly as you can and don't spend too much time on a question even if you are unsure. Considering the current TOEFL Reading test, I'd say it's not absolutely necessary to skim the passage. If you skim, spend no more than 1 or 2 minutes on this. Hope this helps :).

    • @juva
      @juva  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Diana, I'm so glad you like the videos :). No worries, you can do this. The key is to figure out where you lose points. I'd recommend this: Have a look at my TOEFL Reading playlist and take the practice tests. Then have a look at the video so that you understand how to find the correct answers for questions you are struggling with. If you have any questions, put them in the comments, I'll be happy to answer them. Hope this helps!

    • @juva

      I'd recommend skimming the whole passage which means the whole text. After that read the question carefully and go back to that particular part of the passage that is relevant to this question. Since you have skimmed the whole passage before you will know where you can find the information. That's why skimming the whole passage in the beginning is important.
