Mayer sounds more like Wolf than Tiger on Straw tonight. And his beautiful guitar looks a bit like Wolf. Mayer is dialed in. Plus, I can hear Oteil again! He's back in the mix! What's that fast food slogan? "I'm lovin' it!" 😁
I am ME Camden Straw was full of gems. Bob and Jeff trading crazy chords that turned the song into something new. The "sooo sloooooow" whiners don't get that.

Atlanta was one of the top 25 post Garcia shows in my opinion. Time to hang it up? IDK but, Bobby in his 70s now and he enjoys Mayer. I'm kinda digging Mayer a bit more myself. Chimenti seems into this to? It's slow as fuck, yes. One other thing is Billy/Mickey are banking big money on tours like this and I want that for them. Obviously Weir is worth more than the state of California now so... I don't have a conclusion on if they should shut it down.
Yay I can finally here what Mickey Hart is doing so pathetic watching him hit drums and not hearing anything happen IMHO he needs to play the full drum kit with cymbals and kick drum n snare! Bring back that two full drum set feel that made the Deads Rhythm devil section and backbone of their sound what it is..

His arms were a blur hitting everything in sight with real drumsticks, not those airbrush things he uses now to soften his sound. Bob no longer plays those sonic digital guitars he kicked ass with in the late 80s. He blew my mind back then. D&C is mellow Dead. You either enjoy the evolution of this new project or, thanks to modern tech, watch the GD live videos because there's more than a thousand of them. Nobody says you have to embrace D&C and complaining about them isn't going to make them change their approach. This is what they are.
Stagger Lee I am over 50 and seen the dead countless times I've played in various dead cover bands back in the 80s and 90s playing drums percussion vocals songwriting Etc I know what I'm talking about and there is a hole in the percussion here because Mickey is not giving us what he really can this band really needs two drummers much like the Allman Brothers that's what we're used to there's no reason why he can't add symbols last year he had symbols it's kind of crazy

Was an amazing show. John Mayer had a few really great moments. The all did, really. Still cant sleep of the buzz of how fun it was.
It was beautiful. The Grateful Dead always knew how to make slow work for them.

I don't usually hate on their speed, I don't mind the slow jams at all.
With that said, I tried playing this at 1.25x speed and it sounds way better!
