Her voice it’s super complicated to describe and stand for ordinary people who enjoy of poppy voices! She’s a master, her dark voice it’s U N I C, she don’t sound like others! That’s because I love her! ❤️

This is the worst example of Tarja's using her chest voice for a song that is ruined with it. The only time she used full head voice for this song was back in 2002. Even in 2005 in the End of an Era, she was partially using her chest voice. At this rate, I'll lose any interest in seeing her live again.

Still her chest voice needs to be more developed and it is understandable as she never really formally studied pop singing, only classical. Still if you check her classical concerts her technique is only getting better :), so it is just some *bad* stylistic choices.

Floor is way better in versatility, she has an outstanding capacity to change between different styles even within a song, a very strong chest voice and hell of a belt. Just check out e.g. Ghost Love Score @Wacken 2013. There are 2-3 songs that suit Tarja's voice better, but for most, Floor is doing an excellent job. Tarja's chest voice is weak, belt almost nonexisting, transitions between head and chest son't pull out and the result is pretty awful. I really loved her back in the day. These days, I prefer Floor. Annette between them was a different story. She was pop singer, so she couldn't do the older songs, not really, although did a good job with those written for her.
I love how her sound has matured. She sounds even better here than when she was in Nightwish. Nothing to complain about her looks either. She is absolutely stunning, and she looks so happy now. I hope that one day she and Nightwish can make an reconciliation, and we can see them perform some old classic together. Yeah, boy can dream.

I admire Tarja, always have and always will but I'm slightly disappointed with the vocals. Her soprano technique is perfect, we all know it but I don't like her using a deeper voice, it just doesn't suit her voice, sounds forced and lacks power, when we all know she wants to imprint power when she tries to use that, it just fails though.

Really? I mean... she still has a beautiful voice (listen at her classical performances) and I think with some guidance she could rock that weird voice she uses now. But no... so far she sounds as a stray cat being murdered . I think she somehow choses to put all her energy in the performance and not so much into the song itself. But as long as her fans buy her records... whatever floats her boat.
I actually think it sounds much better now compared to her performance on End of an Era, where she tried to implement them and sounded 'out of tune' quite often. However, I have to generally agree: I like her voice best on the early NW records

Some of the things that makes her chest voice sounds weird is that she is pushing her larynx down too much making it sound way too dark, it is an usual tecnique on classical singing and works amazingly for her head voice but not for chest, it makes it lack fluidity and her timbre differ too much from the rest of her voice, making it feel off and disconnected.

Before criticizing Tarja's voice, I think the mic mixing was weak and the overall bass effect drowned her voice..A studio recording of this should be interesting material though...
