    Hi Matt. I have been using trick #1 for years and would like to add something . It works even better if you copy the clip 2 times. That means you have 3 rows of clips. The upper two clips are moved one frame to the right. So the first one by one frame. The next one again by one frame... So 2 frames. The first clip above the original one is set to 60 percent opacity, the top one to 30 percent opacity. This often works better. And in your case with the wedding couple, you can also draw a large soft mask around the couple on both upper clips, so that the opacity of the clips only affect the outer areas. This trick also works great for time-lapse, by the way, and makes a great motion blur

      @@AminYoma true. It depends of the clip. But it can help if you try to mask only the area where the flicker happens. But also here... It depends

    The plug-in is heavy. I advise you to finish your edit, grade (if possible), export, and import it again into a new timeline and then add the plug-in. It will export somewhat faster. If you put in the plug-in into your first edit, you might get like 36 hours export time. So take note!

  • @brokenclockfilms

    I love the unused Anti-flicker effect there 😆I'm honestly quite shocked but at the same time this makes sense. I just did this on a clip where my drone was met with the headlights of an oncoming vehicle, so you can imagine the amount of vertical flicker going on. Threw some denoiser on there and now the shot looks clean af lol (I used the first part of Method 1 while my flickering looked just like the second part on Method 1.) I wanted to use the glowing flower bloom from the headlights to transition to the next scene and now I'm happy with how seamless it looks after such a simple fix lol wow🙏

    Is it not easier to take the footage with a different fps (50-60) because the flicker is caused from the frequency measured in Hz (for instance here in Australia is 60Hz and I use 50 fps)

    • @tylerjslattery
      @tylerjslattery 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a result of frame rate and shutter speed combinations and during something like a wedding, you'll spend way more time and effort than it is worth trying to remove the flicker from (some) lights. You also sacrifice natural motion blur by doing it (if you can do it quickly). This is one of those cases where doing it in post is almost always the better deal.
