Sir, I have a wordpress ecommerce website and automatically syncing products by plugin to merchant center's Content API Feed Input method while listing. I want to know if have any issues like duplication/disapproved if adding same products to google sheets feed input method too?
If you add a second feed using a Google Sheet, it will warn that you have duplicates and ignore them (but still a bad idea). If you want to add additional data to the products in your WordPress feed, ideally you should add that data to WordPress. If you can't add the data to WordPress, create a Supplemental Feed using a Google Sheet. In the Sheet, remove any data you don't want to overwrite from your feed. Keep the item ID and create columns for fields/data that you either want to create, or you want to overwrite. Let us know how you get on?
Either method works. Neither is about optimising for better ads, more clicks or more business - they're just methods of getting your data into Merchant Centre.
@@tillison Yes API is method is automatic time fetching and Google sheet method have manual time fetching option.which is better? or both works as same?
Sadly not. It crawls when it feels like it, pretty much. It can be encouraged with new data in our experience. You can also change the product IDs to force a recrawl of those products. That's a Google Support "recommendation", not ours though - a whole heap of other issues caused by that action, so we wouldn't recommend it.
we have combined few products into one, hence few pages have become unavailable. Shall we set up redirects on unavailable product pages? or delete those pages? Is redirect acceptable by shopping ads
You could redirect the URLs (good practice for SEO anyway), but generally we'd recommend removing the products from your feed to avoid customer confusion and inaccurate performance data.
@@tillison Thanks a lot for your reply. So for SEO it is good, but for customer experience it can be confusing, so better to remove those pages from feed, have i understood you correctly?
Exactly, yes. Best to remove those items from your feed. If you merged some products, you might also consider making sure your titles, descriptions and pages are optimised for the same keywords too. That should mean that the new products get found for the same terms 👍
my all pages works fine, all products are live and load fastly but every day some or other product says unavailable landing page, Malformed HTTP response
all pages work fine, and all products are live and load fastly but every day some or other product says unavailable landing page what could be the cause
Possibly a server issue. The config could be blocking after multiple visits, or could just be struggling with load. What platform is the site built with?
No, annoyingly not. Google Support will tell you things like, "change the product ID" to force a recrawl of a product, but in most cases, that isn't practical at all.
I really appreciate this video. Cleared up a major headache.
Thanks for the feedback and we're glad we could help 👍

From a marketing perspective, both the same. Having optimised data is more important than how the data is delivered.
Hi, thanks for the video. My feed is regularly updated. The problem is the crawling by Google. It is possible to force the check by google?

That sounds like an intermittent server issue.
1. What is the domain please?
2. Who is your site hosted with?

Check the product URL you're using in your Merchant Centre. It's almost always a typo or something simple like that.
Thank you!
