Auctions kind of scare me, but you guys documenting this video has answered a lot of questions that i had that i kept hidden away. What helped you most is you did your homework before the auction and placed a price on each one and kept to your plan!!! Thats pretty awesome and many who see these kind of videos can learn a lot and not be intimidated when tey go to one.
Absolutely love your channel. We drove 9 hrs just to meet you guys ca few weeks back and it was totally worth it. Down to earth honest guys with really entertaining content.
good advice @ 20:30. One time the Misses (never been to an auction) pointed to the ceiling from the back of the crowd showing me how lovely the chandeliers were at a house auction. She just made a bid for $500 000 on that house. I realised what she had just done and must have had that look on my face that you get when you shit yourself and your balls drop and thankfully the auctioneer asked me whether that was a real bid or not. Fark we were out of there quicksmart. So yeah, last time I went to any auction with her.
I had a 2001 Kawasaki Drifter 800. It had a 805 cc V-twin, single mono shock and chain drive. The 1500, actually 1470 cc's, had two shocks like the Harley Dyna's and was shaft drive. I currently own a 2002 Meanstreak that i purchased new. 14,000 miles, and I'm fortunate enough to be able to say it's never been dropped. I can't ride anymore, but I still give it the love it deserves. When they're at a responsible enough age, I'll probable end up giving it to one of my great nephews someday. I just hope he'll love it like I did. Love watching your all's channel. You guys are living the life I wish I would have had. Keep up the hard work, and always stay safe and stay upright, and may God bless you young men.
I think SRK videos are what Reality TV should have been like. You se the good and the issues that come with running a business. It’s not packed with drama.
Really helps you keep a low profile by standing at the front and being filmed. However the fact that every time you bid the auction helper points directly at you and shouts yhea! Every time you made a bid. 🤔😉🏍️🛵🏍️🛵🏍️
You could if you owned an LLC and were borrowing from the bank or had good venture capital set up. They didn't pull this 100k our of their personal savings account... well I doubt they did.

I haven't owned a bike in a long time but your videos really make me want to buy one!! Thanks for all the great content! I'm slowly making my way through all your older videos on both the channels, SRK & Bikes/Beards!! Great stuff
Great video, I’ve never seen a motorcycle auction, really enjoyed it, your crew really makes work look like fun, wish I could say the same thing about what I do, but I can’t. Thanks again for a great video.
Im sorry but is Caleb kinda like the younger brother you never wanted to take anywhere but your mom told you to do so, so you just listened and brought him along anyway? Hes hilarious but thats kinda the vibe Im getting from Sean. Lol You guys are awesome love the vids.
The Indian logos is a very common thing to do on the drifters. Alot of people paint them on. Kawasaki never painted indian logos on the bike. Drifter came in 2 flavors, 800 and 1500. If theyre stock you can tell the year by the paint color. The blacked out frames were available for a couple of the earlier year (on the 1500 anyway) if I remember right 99 and '00. All drifters were made at 1 plant in Japan (Akashi) then shipped out across the world. Also the original name for the drifter was going to be the "Super Chief" not the "Chief". The last code on the drifters are vn1500J and vn800E Theres a global number of 18,000 Drifters made. According to some minor research only 50 in Australia
Dude, Caleb's laugh is infectious. Keep it up guys. I don't even own a bike or have a bike license yet I been watching your vids for the last 3 days because it happen to pop up on my YT recommended vids.
I have a Kawasaki VN1500 Drifter, as in my avatar. There are 1500's shaft driven and chain driven 400's and 800's that are both completely alike, apart from perhaps the color. Quite different machines made in the same period after 1999. More looking like Indian then Harley as the Classics used to. Often the other model is disguised as Drifter and in The Netherlands you can call a model whatever you want on registration. Your 800 should have a funny rail around the slim saddle that gives it the special look combined with the Indian fender. An 800 Drifter has a swing arm. Just hope for the best. These fenders have great value because you can not ever run into sand fountains and the radiator keeps absolutely clean. Never had anything Indian added to the looks (fender light is "futuristic") and still I run into receiving compliments a lot. I read the "101 favorite Bible verses for men" that seem a lot similar to yours. I don't know about Favorite though. th-cam.com/video/yILiotRE-0c/w-d-xo.html

14:40 so you're saying the auctioneers are crooked and will fake bids in order to make you bid against yourself. Sounds like an unethical business practice, even unlawful. I find that hard to believe but what do I know. Never been to an auction.
i go to many auctions and i get for you trying to keep a low profile when I see an antique dealer biding on something I want I figure I cant go wrong biding against him ,what I would do if I was you is get some unknown person to bid for you with some simple signal like stop biding when I scratch my but LOL
I work at an Auction, and after watching a few sale day's, i've never understood how dealers make any money selling vehicles?. It's unbelievable what some dealers pay for vehicles......
Great channel, very interesting by seemingly honest bike dealers.Quite a rare thing, especially where I come from.I can’t believe how cheap bikes are in the states, moreover the Harlelys.
Base MSRP on a DRZ400sm is $7,400 it sold for $2,500 less. It looked like it had just over 1k miles. A dealership can sell that for a quick $1,000 profit. A used one around 2008 would run about $4,000. I sold my 2015 used with 2800 miles on craigslist for $5700 last summer. $4,900 is not a horrible price for a 2016 with 1,200 miles, not a killer deal either though, unless the guy wants it for himself.
"Bidding against the soda machine" LOL haven't heard that phrase before. I have done a lot of farm auctions and we talked about "phantom bidders" or "bi-bids". Some auctioneers are really bad at it. Do it long enough you can start spotting Tells, just like in poker, when the auctioneer is trying to "run you up". I have caught auctioneers doing this and so I'll pick an item, bid hot and heavy, no hesitation, until we reach some really stupid price, then I suddenly stop bidding, hanging him with it. You will also have fake "dummy bidders" who either work for the auctioneer or may be with the seller & will try to run up the price on you.
In 2001 I bought here in Australia a brand new black Kawasaki Drifter 1500cc. It sits in my garage and has only done 9600klms and I have left it completely original and is still in new condition. Funnily when I bought it they weren't a popular bike but since Polaris reinvented Indian they are starting to get a good following. I think they are a great motorcycle. 👍
Kawasaki Vulcan Mean Streak 1600 is what I’d love to be able to own again. Was my very first bike I bought and learned on. Miss her and just being able to ride
Kawasaki made an 800cc and a 1500cc Drifter over the years. Not that many made exactly. It just pays homage to the style of the older Indian Chief motorcycles of the 40s and 50s.
I remember back in the 70s three guys I knew heading off to a rally camping weekend on a 'combo' UK speak for motorcycle sidecar combination, It was a night run down the motorway, guy in the sidecar fell asleep, guy piloting it lost concentration for a second due to tiredness, drifted off the motorway clipping the kerb with the sidecar wheel causing it to tip violently to one side, pilot and rear seat dude got instantly tipped OFF, the bike, it righted itself... and kept going... throttle didn't return or something, guy in the sidecar woke up by the jolt, yawned, farted, stretched, glanced across to speak to the guys on the bike... They weren't there, he managed to reach over and shut the throttle and slowed to a stop with the front brake, took the rider about half an hour to catch up with his machine, guy in the sidecar needed a change of underwear.
How to win at auctions Step 1: Don't bid on the wrong thing Step 2: Don't bid against the soda machine Step 3: DO NOT signal your bid by setting off a roman candle while screaming through a megaphone "I'M BIDDING!"
I got my 1st 2015 Fatboy from the auction for $3.200 ,other dealers wouldn't outbid me because the original owner modded the bike to be a bobber ,he also rebuilt the motor from a 103 to a 117 ,i sold the bike for $7,800 on Facebook marketplace after i rode it for 3 days,it sold the 2nd day it was on Facebook,if you guys aren't using Facebook marketplace then your really missing out ,i flip used Harleys and Used Mcintosh uber high end home hifi stereo & home theater equipment for a living ,Facebook marketplace has become my fastest selling site where i can flip without the ebay & paypal fees .
i find those auction "helpers", both interesting and weird, it's like they got nothing else to do and they feel special being "part" of something that would have no problems continuing without them
Kawasaki "Drifter" was the Indian style bike . :-) I owned a new Drifter in 2003 ,they are easy to hot rod and can really scoot one modified ,the only thing I didn't care for was the shaft drive,(the smaller Drifters had belt and a mono shock frame) but it was fine it didn't act weird in corners under acceleration like Beemers do. If you want to know about the mods let me know and I'll look up my notes.Cheers.
Looking at Your huge inventory and knowing how slow the Motorcycling World has become You must have a secret market somewhere. The Harley dealerships are crying for business - ->>
I know it’s a ‘thing’ in the US for the auctioneer to make it impossible to understand. Everywhere else in the world they just say the amount so people can understand. Try it.
I ride my buddy's silver wing sometimes and I think I'm gonna kill the engine going slow cause I ride a motorcycle, it was funny to see Caleb has that same mindset, I seen him try to go into first backing up that burgman
I have a 99 Kawasaki Drifter 1500. It came from Kawasaki with the Indian Badge on the tank, and the lighted Chief head on the front fender. I have done a ton of research on these bikes, and everything I read is that the rights to “ Indian “ name, logo’s and badging, ran out when the company went bankrupt. So Kawasaki picked it up and started cloning Indian bikes for like 6 years, without any repercussions. I now have 42k miles in my well loved bike.
The DRZ has a crazy high resale value. 2008 to 2018 are hot. The S and the SM models are in high demand everywhere. I paid 3500 for a mint 2011. Super low miles and have been offered 5400 foe it.

I absolutely love the Kawasaki Drifter
Keep up the good work dude. Too bad you're so far from me, I'd love to come meet y'all
What’s the deal with those people talking and screaming at you, especially that rainbow gloved guy? Are they bidders or auctioneers?
Kinang Eagle they’re spotters for the auctioneer
I have a 99 Kawasaki Drifter 1500. It came from Kawasaki with the Indian Badge on the tank, and the lighted Chief head on the front fender. I have done a ton of research on these bikes, and everything I read is that the rights to “ Indian “ name, logo’s and badging, ran out when the company went bankrupt. So Kawasaki picked it up and started cloning Indian bikes for like 6 years, without any repercussions. I now have 42k miles in my well loved bike.
Flip! here in NZ that Rod would have gone for way more! thats pretty much the only way Rods look down here haha
The DRZ has a crazy high resale value. 2008 to 2018 are hot. The S and the SM models are in high demand everywhere. I paid 3500 for a mint 2011. Super low miles and have been offered 5400 foe it.
i loved this kind of video! a bit late, but good job
You are blessed to have such a nice friend/partner
Where can you FIND an auction that sells motorcycles? I feel google has so many scams and fake sites.
This is a dealer only auction. There really are no auctions open to the public that just sell bikes
Bikes and Beards Does drug dealer count?
My first street bike was a drifter 800 with a custom military themed paint job

2 lanes! LOL come to the Manheim Auction in Orlando FL. 25 lanes of cars running at one time. 9 lanes of dealer consignment 16 lanes of commercial. It’s a zoo. But there is a method to the madness.
Bro come to Manheim Manheim 10 minutes from us 1 million lanes
Caleb looks and sounds like that guy from New Girl
Jason yessssss
I thought he looked familiar but couldn’t place it.
Can I buy Caleb’s shirt?!? I haven’t seen the “play it again sports” logo in years
Yeah sure
you call it "bidding against the soda machine" in the uk we call it "bouncing it off the wall"
around my area a used ruckus (10 years) goes for the same as a brand new one minus fees, its ridiculous
