- Furnished a 1979 Barbie Dream House and a 1980 Barbie Dream Pool with some old and new furniture/accessories! I wish they still made them like this. So much room to decorate both!

I love how this house came with an actual built in closet with doors! I wish they would bring this one back...

Wow! That house is massive. Barbie has a lot to take care of with a living room, a family room, a dining room, a game room, a courtyard patio, a swimming pool with outdoor shower and another grill, and a little sitting area upstairs. Hope she has some help. I know a lot of Barbies who would be envious of such a gorgeous home.
Hilarious! Yes, she needs help! Her refrigerator doors fell off in 1988 and still hasn't found anyone to repair them!
I love this 1979 Barbie Dream House. I love Barbie houses with flooring to decorate and not soo much pink!!! I wish they made them like this still. Only with at least 3 bedrooms. (ja, ja)

I found one in mint condition on FB Market Place this year. The original furniture and it only cost me $99 USD. Mine has the green furniture and I added the yellow 70's couch set in a different room like an extra living area.
Dreams do come true.... sometimes. I had one briefly as a kiddo and lost it because my brother crashed into it.
I was beyond happy to of replaced it and found it locally. ❤

I agree!! It's a classic and does surprisingly last forever with a lot of character. I love that it doesn't have the cheesy stickers pictures on the walls. I think that's what dates the other houses quickly!
I would love to find one of these dream houses at a local thrift store to restore. I have a lot of the furniture from the 1980’s like the 1984 Dream Kitchen and the Fashion Living Room set, plus a bathroom set from the 1990’s that has a large sink and vanity with mirror, bathtub and toilet with storage rack. The one thing I didn’t like about the original furniture was that there was no kitchen sink or dishwasher or even a bathroom sink, which is why I bought the other furniture sets.
I agree on the sinks and dishwasher...I found mine on FB Marketplace (twice) and have seen many for sale since (for a lot less than ebay)...Just keep checking...it will eventually turn up! GOOD LUCK!!!
