in many places of USA they call anise as licorice flavoredbut trust us ouzo is star anise flavored and ouzo flavored candy are flavored with star anise not ouzo the drink
Glad you liked them! Jumbo chips are not a good quality chip here so other chip brands could have been even better! Halvas is an acquired 'food" due to it being chalk/sand like, it comes in different flavours like vanilla and chocolate, it is eaten in balkans, greek, israel, turkey etc. It is mainly eaten in "clean monday" which is once in a year and the 40 days before it.
Hey! I'm glad you liked most of them! The traditional healthy sweet called: "Xalvas" ("ΧΑΛΒΑΣ") which in this variety is called: "simigdalenios", isn't traditionally with vanilla, but rather with nuts, or cinnamon and you put syrup in the end. There is another variety too, which is called: "Xalvas farsalon" ("ΧΑΛΒΑΣ ΦΑΡΣΑΛΩΝ"), named after a city in southern Thessaly, which is more like a jelly and you can put nuts in as well, or eat it with ice cream! They are both really tasty, if done properly 😄 And to be honest i've tried the one with the vanilla, it isn't my favorite either, but they have one with milk chocolate, which is great! Anyways, i'm glad that you tried it and wish you all the best!😄
The "chery" was pronounced loux... I am from Greece btw... My favorite food from Greece is pita with feta!!!But the weird is that I find these normal, every day foods for me...😂❤
If you never had halva it's a bit weird in terms of taste especially texture, I'm Greek and I personally don't like halva but still eat it when I get a chance because it's a superfood, lowers cholesterol, aids in blood sugar control, lowers blood pressure, it had anti inflammatory effects, helps with digestion and fiber intake, has proven anti cancer effects, rich in B vitamins also studies found that halva boosts brain functionality and also helps lowering anxiety and depression. Halva is a very popular in parts of Europe, Middle east, West and South Asia. In Greece people mostly eat it during fasting since it's a non meat/dairy product, it's also100% vegan. These gummies are suppose to be tough to chew. All in all you tasted less than 1% of the snacks available in Greece.
I loved that video . For some reason that box didn’t have our best chocolates or snacks . Next time if you want I will go and send you box full of the best snacks from Greece 🇬🇷 ❤
13:40 , ma guy thats halvas , and its 1 of the best greek desserts i would say , but i wouldnt recommend any snack bullsht for halva , only brands , if u try a brand of halva ifs gonna be way way better , ofc its stoll gonna be stinky again , but its gonna be way better and many times they have inside either almonds or a mix with chocolate too , really good
SnackVerse have no clue. 1) They send pretzel sticks? That's not very Greek at all. And everyone has them. 2) At 9:38, your guy is right, it is Anise, not licorice. Licorice is a substance of its own (licorice root), and Anise is a different thing. However, Anise is often used to flavor licorice candy. Ouzo, is Anise, not licorice. Trash company (SnackVerse).

Macedonia (/ˌmæsɪˈdoʊniə/ ⓘ MASS-ih-DOH-nee-ə; Greek: Μακεδονία, romanized: Makedonía, pronounced [maceðoˈni.a] ⓘ) is a geographic and former administrative region of Greece, in the southern Balkans. Macedonia is the largest and second-most-populous geographic region in Greece, with a population of 2.36 million (as of 2020). It is highly mountainous, with major urban centres such as Thessaloniki and Kavala being concentrated on its southern coastline. Together with Thrace, along with Thessaly and Epirus occasionally, it is part of Northern Greece. 😁
The name Macedonia derives from the Greek Μακεδονία (Makedonía),[1] a kingdom (later, region) named after the ancient Macedonians, from the Greek Μακεδόνες (Makedones), 'Macedonians', explained as having originally meant either 'the tall ones' or 'highlanders'. See you are getting free education today, just remember when you steal another place's name you should know what it means first.
Well you should know when Obama visited Greece, prime minister Κωσταντινος Καραμανλης treated Obama some makedonian halva his wife Νατασσα had made did you know that Καραμανλης and his wife are both from the Greek region makedonia (not the country Macedonia) also did you know traditional halva is made with honey is more chewy and is made in a whiskey distiller
