The magic sleep suit didn’t work for us either. Honestly, we just stopped swaddling her cold turkey and she was completely fine right away. It’s almost as if she was totally ready to have her arms out. Go by baby’s lead... she’ll let you know when she’s ready to not be swaddled anymore.
Get a lower wattage in the cool white globes, then they won’t be so bright but still have the natural daylight look.. Emma laughing is so damn adorable.... 🌸🐨🌸
She looks adorable in it, but honestly I’d be worried about her getting to hot.....they say babies need no more layers than you are wearing and overheating them can cause some issues! Maybe try just a lightweight sleepsack.
Ardysangel I’d agree it looks too thick and overheating is a warning ⚠️. How about sleep sacks. My grandchildren went into them at three months.
This is linked to SIDS!!! Im glad you drew attention to this. I learned about this in classes required for daycare and never knew this.
When Justin was laying with her on the bed they looked like twins! So adorable!

I wanted to say how much I enjoy watching your videos. I've followed your process through infertility and IVF. I'm currently 34 weeks with my first frozen embryo transfer and cannot wait to be able to experience motherhood. Emma is the cutest !

Why not loosen the swaddle more each day?
You're supposed to do one arm out for 2 days other 2 then sleep sack
The white light is really bright. Justin is right, the yellow is calming.
That night thing is way too warm looking. I would return it. I love to hear Emma laugh.

I would absolutely recommend the sleep sack. My son transitioned into the sleep sack at around 5 months. He loved it. I would put a light weight sleeper pjs on him and put him in the warmer sleep sack. I loved that they make a warm sleep sack for the colder months and a cooler one for the warmer months.
Eating more often crabby wanting to sleep for longer periods of time and sometimes even sleeping less sounds like a growth spurt to me

What abt just a sleep sack for Emma instead of swaddling. Ive never seen that sleepsuit. It’s pretty cool tho! I think target sells similar items to what the pets broke on u! Or hobby lobby even! Omg, loving that laugh!! She’s so precious!! Xo

That snowsuit thing being that big on her makes me wonder if it could be actually dangerous for her to sleep in. I'd be worried about her possibly sliding down in it and also maybe even getting her arms out and getting stuck down there in the thing. Could she suffocate in that if that happened? Science has also shown that people suffer far less insomina and sleep better if they are a little on the cooler side, so I wonder if that made her a little too warm if that too would impact her sleep negatively .. but Im really more worried about the possible safety of it with it seeing it looked too big

The blue lights will actually making it difficult for your body to transition to night time. The warm toned lights will help you transition to night time. I would keep the warm toned ones. Its like that night time shift that iPhones have. It helps your body transition. :)
Omg y’all those blue tinted bulbs aren’t good for your eyes. Justin is right we usually recommend warm white (yellow) lights for homes especially living rooms. More homie. I never thought your lighting was bad before though ❤️
Amber Conley yellow lighting bothers my eyes so much... I’ve had to replace the lighting all over my house because the “warm white” lighting drives me crazy.

Rachelle I sell Electrical supplies, LED bulbs primarily have 3 spectrums Soft, natural, and daylight. Natural is pure white without being blue please switch to natural you'll be happy. Recessed lights now have a select switch where you can pick the perfect spectrum.

At this age, let her sleep as much as she wants. They grow so much in the first year. She'll grow through bouts of tiredness, hungryness. It's very normal. Just go off her cues
Omg Emma is so adorable!!! I don't know how such a tiny human could ever get any cuter but she does!! Literally by the day that baby girl just seems to be more and more precious!!!! Her little smile and sweet little laugh just brings tears to my eyes because she's just so beautiful and perfect!!!....ugh watching these videos gives me a serious case of baby fever!!!!....lol
Also, we call the Merlin Magic Sleep suit the Michelin Man suit or the Stay Puft Marshmallow man suit. 😂

DISCLAIMER: I'm not trying to bash just offering my opinion and 46 or so years experience. In my family I've been referred to as the baby whisperer so obviously I do a decent amount of things right.
I just don't get the swaddle thingy. I've been around babies as long as I can remember and I've NEVER swaddled and they slept regardless. In my opinion, the ones who need training are the parents. You put the baby in the crib and let them cry (within reason) so they learn to soothe themselves and sleep. I've also never been one to have no noise because the baby is sleeping. I've been known to run the vacuum or music a as the baby is going to sleep and while napping. This has certainly helped for those times when you can't control the noise. Babies are very adaptable, yes at times you might have to deal with a little extra fussing, but that's life! I have great days, good days and even bad days so why do we think a baby won't have those same hours/days?
I had Magic Sleepsuits for my twins!! We started at 8 weeks and they have slept through the night ever since! This was by far the best purchase I made as far as sleep for them!! They were in it from 2 months to 6~ months and when they outgrew it, I just let them sleep in a sleep sack and we have 0 issues. Mine never got too hot and it is really lite weight. Hands down, I would say this changed our sleep game. They can’t roll over because it is too thick. Even when mine started rolling, they could roll in it. It also helps with the reflex they have to naturally prevent SIDS. If the do jerk, it isn’t so bad. I would say give a good try before sending it back. Also Emma’s little laugh is infectious!! I can’t help but giggle along with her!!

The soft white (less on the bright white side) just seems more homey and comfy to me. Just prefer the more yellow tone over the hospital white tone

Do those blinds in your living room not open? ... I totally get leaving them closed in the middle of Summer but you could definitely love them to be open in Winter, it would change the entire atmosphere of your house, in the best way. :)

She might be going though a growing spurt Rachelle. I love how ya’ll are reading to her already. I believe that is so important for kids!!! It not only improve their own reading skills, it improves their language skills.

My husband convinced me to put those lights in our living room I HATED it and drove right back to the store it is almost fluorescent!

Oh my gosh when I moved from Cali to Illinois my dog was afraid of the rain and snow 😂 she would try to hide under me. She still does when it thunderstorms but we get some crazy storms in the summer so it's understandable

Oh my goodness where did you get those bear pajamas??? I'm due in March and I NEED a pair for the new babe!! Absolutely adorable jammies and of course Emma too!
My son was preemie and only weighed 6lbs but doc was amazed he was as HEALTHY as a full term he was a bit 6 weeks preemi. And he is now 13 yrs old and 124 lbs and almost 6ft huge kid yeah..and i have 3 kids hes my first 13 11 n 9 and now 27 weeks PREGO so im excited to enjoy all this shit SINCE i REALLY didnt at first and then with the 2nd she was 28 weeks so very preemie. But was a chunk at 6 months after she had prescription formula she weighed 4lbs and they were amazed how big she was...all my babies were preemi so this time i dont work and ALL i have to do is relax and hang out and do everything i didnt BEFORE but they grow fast is what i am saying. I am so EXCITED
Lol about the lights. My husband just made me buy all new light bulbs that conserve energy. He put one in and I hated it. Looks like a hardware store lighting. Returned them all
You can always take out one or two lights to see if that lessens the brightness
If you take the lightbulbs to kohl’s you can return them. Kohl’s takes returns for amazon. It’s super easy
