My husband and I have never traveled without our kiddos since our oldest has been born. We take them to different campgrounds within a 3hr distance to our home each summer and explore the area. It’s all we can afford, but I hope we are creating awesome memories! :)

That's all my family did when I was growing up, there was 6 kids and it's all our parents could afford. Once my brothers grew up we went on a cruise because all your food is included so it's really cost effective.
Travel with her when she will remember, I traveled with my son when he was a baby and of course he had no idea we went anywhere. Now he says he wishes I had waited to take him when he could actually remember and appreciate it. It's very tiring to travel with a baby, but good luck and I hope you enjoy your trip.

It's never too early to make memories. Even though she won't remember you will still look back on how much fun you had. We take our daughter everywhere.
We went on an international trip with our 1 year old last year. Everyone said “she’s too young, she won’t remember”
WE will remember and we have the cutest pictures to go along with those memories. We had the best time!!! Getting to see your baby experience new things that some people never get to experience in their entire life is such a blessing. She’ll grow up looking at the pictures we took from that first trip and hearing all of our stories. I hope it sparks an interest for her to want to travel when she’s older as well.
Don’t let anyone discourage you from going on amazing trips with your baby! It is a ton of work but it’s so worth it!
International trips are the best! This summer we’re going to London, Paris, Germany, and Austria, and I could not be more excited!

Justin sure had Emma cracking up!!! That was so sweet!!
We drove from VA to CA with three kids, 7, 6, and 3. We stopped and explored on the way there and on our way back. We stayed in Coronado and we were there 5 weeks. We also took the kids to Canada three years later. They had the best time on both trips. The youngest only remembers bits and pieces of our cross country trip, but it was awesome making all those family memories together. It was a lot of fun, not much whining “are we there yet” or fussing between the kids! Many thought we were crazy for taking three kids in a Van to CA, but I look back remembering all three babies pulling their little suitcases behind them, all lined up like baby ducks! It was so cute to see, I really miss them being little. They are completely grown-up now, where did those years go! I am so happy for you guys!
Our daughters are 5 days apart. Been watching you guys since day 1 ❤️ my daughter even loves watching you. God bless y’all! Love you guys !

The best memories I have are those of all the traveling we did growing up as military brats . We lived several years in Southeast Asia, 5 years in Japan, 4 years in Turkey. 18 months in Germany. We moved 18 times in 23 years My dad was a fighter pilot and fought in WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War. My mom would follow my dad to the next base when school was out. Enjoy your travels, bring the kids ( there are 9 of us siblings. 7 BOYS 2 GIRLS. ) and don't forget the camera !

Just make sure you get the hiking boots ahead of time and break them in. It will be a painful experience to hike in brand new shoes.

For the stacker Justin is making, could he make a wooden ball with a hole in the bottom to fit on the top of it? He could then burn or engrave Emma's name into that and it would look super cute!

I'm the same way i want to travel WITH my kids. I never got to travel because we were too poor growing up. Even going to a different state, or driving too far was too expensive so the most we did was camp 2 hours away from our home, Which was great don't get a wrong i have great memories from that time but i think traveling is so important and beneficial. My husband and i are excited for the day we get to take long road trips and travel with our kids. We try and do a week long road trip across the country at least once a year to a new state or area we have never been and we want to share some of these amazing places with ours kids one day. I think being able to go back to those towns and cities and states and show our kids our favorite spots will be beautiful.

My parents always traveled with us but waited until all of us kids would be able to remember where we traveled and what we did. The last family vacation we took we kept a journal so we could remember as well. Traveling is great and I want to do it with my kids as well but I also want them to remember where we went. I hope you guys have a great time though! I’ve always wanted to internationally.

About the sleep regression. Change up her routine a bit it really will help. Maybe do a feeding at a later time, lay her down an hour or two later than usual.. whatever you can think of (I don't know her routine lol)

I’ve commented before - my baby boy is 4 days older than Emma - even though the babies won’t remember it, you’ll have a tonne of really special photographs to treasure afterwards x
I'm doing a cruise from Amsterdam it goes to Norway, Ireland, Scotland, France, England and Belgium in May 2020. And I'm also going on a cruise to Greece this September from Rome. Super excited! I never got to see that part of the world (my sister has.) But now that I'm able to I will. I personally love traveling!

Oh I’ve been to all those counties except Ireland and Italy. You will love it! Scotland and Norway are the most beautiful scenically and Amsterdam is amazing.
I keep seeing all these comments about how Emma won't remember the trip but I think that is irrelevant. Justin and Rachelle will remember all of the memories that they make thereveryone and they will be able to tell her stories and show her amazing pictures (Rachelle's photography skills are insane) from the trip.

Check out The Bucket List Family on TH-cam! They took their young son and daughter and newborn all over the world. It's so neat to get to see their kids experience all the different countries and they even got to swim with sharks and whales and surprisingly they weren't even scared!

Thank you we went to queens town and it was beautiful we had such a great time.... it’s so crazy the different cultural things like lemonade is a lemon juice in the US and over there is sprite!!! It was my first trip out of the country and it was so amazing!!!!!!
Sami Agee yes ! My fiancé is from New York and came here recently for Christmas. He fell InLove with our fish and chips . And yes Queenstown is a great place to go ! I’m from Auckland !

I've been fortunate enough to travel and live abroad all my life. My first holiday was at 5 months! Of course there's lots I don't remember, but travelling young eliminates any fears of travel as an adult, so I can continue the same traditions with my family. It has given me such a wide world view and I truly can't imagine a life where one country is all I know. There's so much wonder to see out there! I can't think of anything better to give your children than the gift of world experiences. Hope you have a great first trip, Emma!

Rachelle, you should definitely check out the Balanger family's European trip vlogs that they did back in August. They have four kids! The youngest was a little over a year when they went. They have some great tips and tricks on travelling with kids and with a baby. Their travel series was called, "one suitcase, four kids".
Man TH-cam must pay well. Any other mechanic/student and stay at home moms dream of trips to the next state over lol.
Justin’s parents have a time share luckily so it’s much more reasonable :)

I remember my first time traveling internationally, I was 18/19 and I went on a mission trip to Haiti, I was super scared to get on the plane but I loved it! I've been wanting to travel ever since, even go back, but money is such an issue 😭

I watched a bunch of vagabrothers videos before I went to live in Cork, Ireland for 6 months (if you ever get the chance to go to Ireland GO! I feel like you and Justin and emmy would LOVE it! Its very affordable in terms of european countries, and there are tons of outdoorsy/camping type activities literally in the prettiest nature ever)

I cannot recommend@takingcarababies ABCs of sleep program enough! My little boy is a couple weeks older than Emma. Our sleep regression was ROUGH (up 5-6 times every night and he'd only sleep if I was holding or nursing him) but in less than 2 weeks, he is basically sleeping through the night! (Down at 730pm and up between 6-7 am). It is LIFE changing when you finally get some good sleep again!
Buy hiking shoes at least a month ahead of time and walk in them! Break them in as much as you can and you’ll enjoy it way more.
I heard Justin say in your last vlog yall are trying to break Emma from her pacifier. At this age you're just setting her up for sleep problems. It helps with teething too. I would worry about breaking her from the pacifier closer to two. I have a great way of doing it Then. You just poke pin holes in it and suck up barely soapy water in it. They throw them away themselves. It works! At this age she will probably start sucking her fingers or thumb. You can never take those away. Don't do it please.

Good Hiking Shoes you can wear in summer too when it gets hot. I'm from Germany and we sometimes go to the alps to hike in the summe and good shoes are a must have ! And you dont get to hot in these. I was living and working in South Africa for a couple of month when it was summer and really hot and I used to wear these hiking shoes there and it never felt to hot on my feet. I was working with wild animals and did some hikes too.
But make sure you wear the shoes at home and on your walks with Beau too so your feet are used to them und you dont get blisters !

IF it’s Ireland (I live here!), pleaseeee visit county wicklow, it’s known as the garden of Ireland. Beautiful scenic views and green fields as far as the eye can see! Glendalough in Laragh, County Wicklow is a mustttttt visit. Happy to help with any more recommendations! Xx
