It's just criminal that you have so few subs man, I watch most if not all the snowboard youtube vloggers, and I like your edits by far the most. It's just something about the combination of how you film, the songs you use(love the music btw), your riding and the beauty of Utah's mountains that gives me chills. Keep on grinding, you hard work will pay off my brother 🤘
@@exorder2005 Thanks man. It's definitely discouraging to see the slow drip of growth the last few years. But fortunately I love what I do, so we'll keep at it. Patience is part of progression. 🤙
I’ve skied them all, all the majors, even some in the Alps. Powder Mountain is my favorite. If I had only one place to ride for the rest of my life it would be Powder Mountain. It really is, just that special of a place. Would love to see you do an in-depth review, and forecast of the future there: are we going to lose all of Cobabe Canyon in addition to Mary’s Bowl and Village? Or just not allowed access to the planned chair lift from the bottom of Cobabe to the top of Raintree? I want Powder Mountain to succeed financially, but I’ve had some of my finest, “unable-to-think-about-work” moments in Cobabe Canyon and hate to see it get roped-off.
These are good questions. I don’t have answers just yet but I don’t think anyone knows for sure what it will look like. I will be doing a full review video soon as part of my Honest Review series so stay tuned for that.
It'll be fully private within the next 5-6 years is the sentiment from lots who live in the valley. Landowners only supposedly. So go visit while you can.
I hope not, but given its location I feel like the only way Powder Mountain could ever make it financially would be as a destination ski/snowboard resort. So where do you put the “Village” for this ‘destination resort’? Well, there is basically nowhere. Eden valley is too far away without the building of a tram. So what options does that leave you with if Powder Mountain needs to turn a profit instead of a loss? = Something akin to the Yellowstone Club in Montana. Private jet into Ogden, helicopter up to the Hidden Lake parking lot area. See, the thing about selling to the ultra-rich is, if you have something the rich really want, well you can pretty much name your price. Given the economic reality of the situation, I am at least encouraged by the new ownership offering season passes for sale first to locals in Eden before the general public, and in planned investments in a replacement chair for Timberline and new chair to the top of Lightening Ridge. It seems ownership is at least committed to keeping half the resort open to the public. If we can get snowcat service to the top of James Peak (never have been able to hike it all the way) I think I can forgive Mr Hastings for taking half the resort private members-only. I just hope it doesn’t go all the way private.@@jbwheeler
Great to see you connect with Kevin. Both of you have a great channel and good content. Be safe and thanks for sharing the great pow day. Would love to know about Cat opportunities at Powder Mountain if you've ever experienced? Cheers!
Thanks! Yeah, cat rides are epic. Definitely worth the price of admission, especially a day after a storm. Check out this video to see what they’re like. th-cam.com/video/tG_4pQruBk4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=uRRh1bCPKw2hr0NU
Insane video dude! Powder mountain vids are my favorite ones you do! Seeing you ride with Kevin is amazing. I’ve watched both of your channels for a while. This is a youtube collide treat!
Brah,…. EDIT is a 20 out of 20!!! Appreciate you Reppin’ UTAH so Epically! Met Kev @snowboardprocamp in Whistler a few Years ago. You Both are Definitely Inspiring! ✌🏿❄️💯 By the way, you and your Boy @lunar.mfg Rip! I especially enjoyed the Side Hit portion of this Episode!!!
Amazing Dan!! We actually about 1-3 in De overnight so I’m sure the rest of tri-state got a little as well🤪 Haven’t seen white stuff since I got my Jeep 2yrs ago lol
@@BoredProgression it could be my tv as well, however, I seem to notice more clarity with TH-camrs who use the Insta X3 Pro. I’m happy to be corrected if you notice Go Pro footage clearer than the DJI.
Damnnnnnnnnnnnn. 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥!!! Soooo good. Just love seeing y’all together shreddin it up. Oofa learned a lesson …. Never miss PowMow on a trip to SLC. Next time I’m THERE! ✌️
@@BoredProgression I tried to see if the dimensions of them were on VOs site. Looking to upgrade from my years old Hestra mitts. It did look like V2 was shortened but I couldn’t tell how much. I keep mine outside and want them to match Hestra length.
Ok I'll go first, great video. Just wanted to bring up the elephant in the room. The absolutely disgusting price it now is to ride this mountain. I Was on my 30th season on powmow! The new owner has forced me into hanging up the ride for good. It's absolutely disgusting what's happened to the Utah ski/snowboarding resorts. RIP UTAH... we should also change our license plates to "the greatest tourist on earth". Cheers
ALMOST too much snow!! And too much fun with Kevin! Go peep his video when it drops! www.youtube.com/@SnowboardProCamp

Dang! Well it’s somethin!
The editing here is first class! Woulda been a day for the cat skiing there. One day I’ll get up there and do that 🔥🔥
Thanks dude! Didn't even need the cat access that day! But always epic if you can.
Fantastic footage. I’m going to throw it out there, I reckon the DJI Osmo footage is clearer and better than Go Pro H12.
Interesting! We'll have to do a comparison video! Stay tuned!

Absolutely. Thanks for being a here to see it!

Do you ever put the VO on outside above your parka?
You can. Alex prefers that way, but I like it under the cuff. The full mittens have a bigger gauntlet too so they fit really well outside.

@@Anthony_rallo They're definitely long enough to keep on the outside. About 3-4 inches.
The rest of the country would like some of your snow.
Believe me, I wish I could gift it to the rest! Haha

Disgusting prices 😢
It’s a bummer for sure, but prices have gone up a ton everywhere. And PM is trying to upgrade a lot of amenities & facilities.
