    Hello Russ. Thanks for the demo on the mobility scooter. One of these may be my next purchase. Like you, I have suffered knee problems and am presently recovering from a broken ankle. I'm also an an e-bike fan and on my third e-bike. Thanks again.

    Being on a budget these days it's very difficult to pay 1500$ to 2800$ for a scooter , so for a company to set prices to a range we can afford is very very appreciated, please thank the company and God bless

    This is perfect for a crowded place like Disney World,where you really cannot ride too fast. And I could easily fit it in the back of my Yaris. If you go to Disney for a week, it will cost you almost the same to rent one of these as buying one and you can use it over and over again. Do you know how much does it weigh when you remove the seat and battery?

    • @RussIsRight
      @RussIsRight  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The heaviest piece (the floorboard and drive train) is 61 lbs. I actually rented a scooter at Disney World. When I got home, that's when I decided I would buy a scooter for use for my photography field trips with my students.

      I really need one of these for my mom but I'd have to be able to lift it in and out of the trunk, did you end up getting one and is it hard to get in and out of the trunk?

    Woah, my scooter cost me $4000 in 2018, but it paid for itself the first year. Heck, I'm still on my original 55 amp/hour batteries going on 5 years now. A 3 wheel Pegasus Pro from Invacare 10 mph. (my preferred GO ANYWHERE ride). Yes, mine has suspension front and rear Nematic 4"x12" tires and a digital display with captain's seat.
    Yes it's a nice one, the same model today would cost closer to $5000+ but worth every penny. Paid $1799 for my e-bike. Happy trails. (endofline)

      I forgot to mention this scooter has a rear suspension (springs).

    Hi Russ. Thanks for the review. Nice scooter. Are the small wheels on the back for lifting and moving the scooter?

    • @RussIsRight
      @RussIsRight  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is so that the scooter will not flip backwards if you try going up an incline.

    Is there only one seat height setting? It looks like a comfortable seat, but I wonder if it sits too tall for me. If I am to ever go to another amuzement park with my grandchildren I would definitely need a scooter. No way can I walk that much in one day. How long, or how far, does the battery last? I liked how easy it was to remove the battery. Is the battery something that can easily be replaced at a local dept. store or auto parts store?

    • @RussIsRight
      @RussIsRight  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The seat post height is adjustable. I have it on the highest setting for me. The battery does 10 miles. Plenty of distance for the average person. I took my old scooter all over the National Mall in Washington DC and hit up all the museums. No problem. It had a similar size battery. Metro Mobility sells replacement batteries for $180.

      They are rubber tread. But does not need air.

    Out of curiosity, how did you load in a car when your knee was bad? I see people on them, but never see people getting them in or out. I’m in a different demographic, so I know I’d just pick it up, but I also don’t need one, so that seems like a catch 22. This comment is mostly just to help with the algorithm, but I’m still curious. I appreciate the service of your review, it’s always nice to know good things to help out if a family member needs one.

    • @RussIsRight
      @RussIsRight  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was tough. I actually fell outside in the Costco parking lot trying to get the scooter back in the trunk of my car. Nobody came to help. But a Costco employee saw me and came running over. But people around me did nothing. Nobody ever wants to get involved.

      @@RussIsRight that is sad to hear. I worked at a grocery store for 3 years in college and have been that employee a couple times and will jump in now 20 years later as a result (might have before, definitely after). I’ve had people brusquely turn down help a couple times, but it still seems like defaulting to helping is the way to go. Thanks for the quick response, I will certainly take it as a reinforcement that jumping in is the appropriate course. Thanks for the video and the pleasant conversations in general.

    Can I take this on airplane?

    • @RussIsRight
      @RussIsRight  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have taken another brand of mobility scooter on planes in the past. The best way to know is calling the airlines to find out if this scooter is allowed on the plane. They really want to know about the battery. Dry cells are usually allowed but not lithium ion cells. These are not lithium ion. Call the company to ask as well before purchasing. Sealed lead acid batteries are allowed because my other scooter had that kind of battery. Airlines do not charge for you bringing a scooter on the flight. Just ride it up to the gate. The airline will take it at the door of the plane and bring it to the cargo area. Also, call the airlines’ handicap phone number before your flight to let them know in advance that you are bringing on a scooter.
