Arthur Glover can people please stop talking about 1994 Hakeem. This was a Jordan-less year and years. If Jordan was playing they woulda swept their asses easily. I know that they were very impressive in the west in 1994 and that is impressive but they should’ve never won those two NBA championships. Did I mention that they played a Magic team that had chemistry issues and are cursed, had an amazing year the other year and played a Knicks team that was not that good and still almost lost. The mavs clearly had a better conpetition than the lowly 1994 bulls. Try beating LaMarcus Aldridge, Gerald Wallace and a still amazing Brandon Roy who was heroic in this series in the first round when you have been struggling to get past it, a Kobe, Lamar O, Pau, good Bynum and good Artest that won the championship the other year and SWEEP them, beat a younger, hungrier and more athletic team in the Thunder with Harden, KD, a monstrous Serge Ibaka and Westbrook. And lastly go to the Finals and play against LeBron James in his PRIME, Dwyane Wade in his late PRIME, Chris Bosh who was a very helpful player who was technically a star player. Not only do u win but you shut down the King who was desperate for a championship since moving to Miami. The point I am trying to make here is that, well, sure the Mavs had a great system and players in it and probably even better than the Rockets had, but you see the difference is that the Mavs had to face the King and KOBE when they were out of their minds. Rockets, I’ll give it to ya that you played against Mailman and John Stockton, but those were the kind of getting ready seasons for the Jazz, the Suns who are the suns of course find a way to lose but probably the best team they faced, and the spurs who were an interesting team but they were disadvantaged because of the three point shooting the Rockets brought to the table and then they play against a trash eastern team the Knicks instead of the Bulls. The Mavs run was better than the 1994 rockets or whatever year it was when they were a 6 seed period.
Dirk is one of the most humble and respectful guys in the league. I don't like the Mavs but if I was a player I would have considered playing for them due to his unwavering and respectful character. It's sad though that the Mavs wasted so many years of his prime and now are tanking. Dirk can still give you 20 and clutch 3s. Mavs need to do something to bring in superstars rather then doing the 76ers draft bs. Dirk deserves better, he could have went elsewhere and had 3 titles by now.
76ers draft BS? UUUUMM they look like serious threats rn and that's with Fultz hurt and they have a bunch of young talent to terrorize the league for years to come. That "BS" worked out beautifully, and it makes sense for Dallas to do the same since they were losing a bunch anyways to start the season
Pety sixers are good now because they tanked for five straight years man. Would you want to waste five years on a tanking team? I don't blame the sixers, you weren't getting anywhere in the East without a superstar because of LeBron. But Dallas always had Dirk as their star. They just couldn't land anyone else since 2011. Barnes or Parsons? Lol no thanks
DJ Skandalous they weren't good earlier because of injuries. Both Embiid and Simmons, the 2 leaders of the team, dealt with major injuries that held the team back. By next year Dallas'll have veteran guidance in Barnes, Dirk, Matthews, etc, and young rising talent in DSJ, Powell, and whoever they grab HIGH in next year's draft. They're in good shape to give Dirk a good final season
Pety true but sixers dragged injured players most likely just to tank again. That was probably the case with Noel and Embiid. Sure Embiid was the best available at the time of the selection though. But twice in a row they draft injured people that missed the first whole year can't be a coincidence lol. Paid off WITH embiid though. Happy for the dude. Glad he isn't another Greg Oden.
I went from Germany to Dallas exactly one year ago to witness the 30k game Vs the Lakers. I was in row 12 or so. Great stuff and being a German NBA fan for 15+ years I always wanted to see him play. That dream came true. What a feeling. What a great player.

Dirk was never soft... Avery Johnson had no clue how to use Dirk.. he just tried to use him like Duncan. The Mavs tanked his MVP season because he had no decent help. Even Bill Russell said this when he saw the Warriors beat them.
@@chrisw5078 lol from what the world remeber Kidd was an allstar replacement in 09-10 not on 10-11 so Kidd wasnt an allstar when Dirk won the championship
Mason Hamilton KG literally had no help though, at least until he got Cassell which isn't even star level. You say Kg is overrated but did you even watch the Nba in the early 2000's? KG was a beast, one of the best defenders and toughest player. He would challenge anybody to a 1on1 and beat them. He was the defensive anchor in Boston and without him they wouldn't get past the first round honestly. That's how much value his defense alone brings to the team. Without a doubt he was the Celtics' enforcer, leader, and best defender. Youre trippin od, KG is one of the players to set the athletic freak big men who play inside out trend. Players like AD, Towns and Boogie learned from KG.
I didn't know you were a basketball man. Maybe make a video along the lines of which players could of been a body builder. Like how Phil heath went from hoops to sandows.
Everyone keeps on saying that Miami lost because they dont have the chemistry yet but I say you dont get to the finals if you dont have good chemistry. Dallas just beat an excellent Miami Heat. What of the best runs in playoff history.
Most impressive stat to me, among all of Dirk's impressive stats, is next year he'll pass John Stockton for most games played for his entire career with one franchise. That's mind-blogging when you think about the level of loyalty & durability & ability you have to possess over two decades to achieve that. It's one record that'll never be broken.
But if dirk averages about 15 points a game In his last season. He will pass jordan in alltime points so that would put him at #5. Farfetched but I think it could happen. Not to mention if they make it to the first round of the play offs. Dirk will pass jordan but lebron will pass dirk.
You could also include his charity work and also his personality... He is my fav player of all time but even I didn't knew that he took a 72 million dollar pay cut in just 1 off-season! He is easily the 2nd best power forward of all time but great video!
Thank you for making this. Dirk is very underrated but I didn't even know those facts about the massive pay-cuts. Makes it so great to know that he did at least win that one championship run.
This was the greatest playoff round of all time. I was going to college in dallas at the time and when they were struggling against the trailblazers everyone on dallas radio were already talking about “blowing up the roster.” Very special playoff run, memorable even for me as a spurs fan.
I'll never forget Dirk as a player and the 2011 Playoff run. That was a once in a life-time underdog story we may never see again. No one, including even most Dallas fans, thought the Mavs could defeat the big three on the Miami Heat. This was the genesis year for super teams when Lebron, D Wayde, and Chris Bosh teamed up. That final series was breathtaking. People were always on the edge of their seats. When Dirk realized they had won, he walked outside the court area to collect his emotions. A player that takes pay cuts, sticks and stays loyal to one team, is so rare these days. GG Dirk. Well Played
KG was missing a bit of killer instinct, though, as a closer. When you look at the 2008 Finals run, when the pressure was at its highest, KG was looking to pass to Pierce and Allen. Duncan was the man in his second season, and led his team to the title. But as far as all-around stats go, KG was better at filling the box score. But as you say, if he played in a better culture, maybe he would've developed that killer instinct.
2011 playoffs Critics and analysts 1st round: mavs will not even pass 1st round, Aldridge will prove he's the best player in this series(blazers) 2nd round: this is the end road for the mavs, they're facing the 2 time defending champions(Lakers) West finals: Mavs will not make it to the finals, coz they're too old they can't keep up with the young, athletic and talented thunders Finals: Mavs dont stand a chance, coz they're up against a super team and the best player in the world Hahaha funny that every round of that years playoffs everybody counted them out
That is not entirely accurate, the Mavs had one big expert supporter by the name of Chuck aka Charles Barkley. I recall he picked them in all these rounds, and in particular versus the Lakers he made it clear that the Lakers wouldn't stand a chance against the more balanced and versatile Mavs. Turned out he was the only real expert with this picks among the NBA TV panel of experts that year...
Being here in Dallas thru dirks whole career really showed how one athlete can change a whole franchise he won't get the respect he deserves till he retires but everyone in the city already knows we have a all time great never will there be another
Charles Barkley was my favorite player of the 1990's. Barkley would have been the best power forward of all time if he took his conditioning seriously. Its why he never won a title. Dirk beat all the other top competitors in the playoffs like Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, Kobe, Lebron, Durant, Harden....etc. Barkley never beat Olajuwon or Jordan in the playoffs. Dirk was better than Barkley.
Maybe...just maybe....if Barkley took his conditioning more seriously he wouldn't have had all of those back injuries and would have been able to beat Olajuwon or Jordan in the playoffs. Dirk has had a more accomplished career than Charles Barkley
That is a classic straw-man argument. Dirk passed Barkley a long time ago. Barkley was only able to lead his team to one NBA Finals...which they lost....and FTR Dirk is better than Malone, Stockton, Payton or Drexler. Magic is the only player you listed that will end up higher on the all time list than Dirk.
To be fair he had Tyson chandler who was one of the best defensive players in the league at the time. He even won the award the year after. his impact on the team is greatly underrated.
Nifty Noldog Mike is fucking corny. His whole content consists of an overly exaggerated yelling and making unnecessary “what if” videos. Nobody cares what would’ve happened because we’ll never know.
Jaden Foster If by good you mean "make wild claims like a child that try to garner buzz and make every what if scenario so unrealistic and stupid that it proves he knows nothing about real basketball and should just stick to playing 2k", Then yeah. Korzemba is really good. He's good at making clickbait and appealing to the lowest common denominator.
He didn't take a pay cut because Cuban needed the money. He took it because of the salary cap aka wanting a better chance of winning. Do you think Steph Curry took a paycut because the owner wanted money or because Steph wanted KD on his team?
Hes still set for life and the mayor of both wurzburg and dallas.. he could have made more and still been a legend in Dallas and ________ but what's worth more money or immortality??
If anyone has a similar skillset, it’s Kevin Durant, and even he is a freak of nature and a once in a generation type baller. There won’t ever be another Dirk Nowitzki.
My favorite player ever, I'll never forget that 2011 championship run, some of the most fun times I had watching basketball, so sad he's nearing retirement now, time flies. Great vid though.
yea, you can tell he is happy with what he has, if he wasn't he wouldn't have took pay cuts or he would have left a long time ago. i guess he figured he was blessed as soon as he was drafted
He doesn't need to. Dirk owns Dallas. I bet he never pays for anything anywhere he goes & that'll last for 40 years after he's retired. He'll probably get some sort of lifetime personal services contract with the Mavs once he retires, anyways. And he deserves it.
So much more respect for this cold ass brotha. Dirk's savage. When I think of the Mavericks I word associate Dirk. A 7ft man, solid, dependable, with a shot... Wow this man's nice.
Been to Dirk's charity baseball game a few years back at the Wrigley's stadium near DFW, I was introduced to his legacy by my friends and huge respect to the man! Then there is the classic sad tale of how really good players are let down by poor decisions of their team.
Thank you Dirk you legend, from all Mavs fan we’re glad you passed 30k points and are up with the greats, we are happy you put it all on the line to get us a championship. Your teammates owe you a thank you for the ring. THANK YOU DIRK NOWITSKI!
You would have thought the Mavs had lost the finals the way Dirk walked off & out of the building at the end. He was just so overwhelmed and humbled to finally win it all, great player!
As a guy from Dirks hometown, we are very proud of him.. not only because he is such a basketball legend, because of his modesty.. A good role model for kids,! Play the game because you love it and not for the money only. Grüße aus Würzbug ;-)
My Favorite player all time, the reason that im a Dallas fan since 2000, a humble, charismatic guy who cares more about character than money or fame. Everything about him is special, even the fact that he got scam by a gold digger for love show the type of person he is... lovable, innocent and yet so much passion for the sport that makes every game important for the fan, the league gained so much because of him, you can count in your hand the amount of people who actually impact the game that much, a family man that made the mavs a crucial part of his own family... I live in Brazil, i watch the NBA since 99 and every time he did something it was like all my interest in the NBA was gravitating towards him, on today's NBA is more like passion for the money and not passion for the game, few had so much passion to the point of carrying the weight of losing in 2006 until 2011 like him, its sound silly, but that weight got out of my shoulders to, i was cheering for him every minute of every game for half a decade. and im proud to say that my idols molded my character... I was 22 when he won the championship and my father ask me why a grow as man like me was crying watching a game of basketball, the reason was simple, hard work, dedication and loyalty paid of, and i was happy for him. Days later people started to say that when he run out of the tunnel in the last game, he got to the looker-room to cry, i guess we cried at the same time then :)
I hate to Say it but kinda. Yes we destroy the lakers, but go rewatch sports shows like first take that year, they keep saying WE be out every round , blazers, Lakers, and okc especially after there win and Harden showing. But hey WE shock the World i dont mind the disrespect. It was our time!
That is not true. 13 out of 18 ESPN Writers picked the Mavs to beat OKC in the 2011 Western Conference Finals www.espn.com/nba/playoffs/2011/matchup/_/teams/thunder-mavericks
Damian Outlaw i remember the show with Michael wilbon Magic Johnson and two other Guy they use to do also the halftime show. Only one of four picked the mavs. Maybe the smart one picked them but we got no love on tv.
I understand all of that. People were picking against the Mavs all post season...including the series against Portland. All Im stating is that it is incorrect to say the Mavs were not favored against OKC. They were huge underdogs to the Lakers and slight underdogs to the Heat. They were favored to beat Portland and OKC.
He also had success with the German national team with even less help than in Dallas, although he never won any gold medals, he won a bronze medal in the 2002 World Championship and silver in the 2005 European Championship.
Dirk is a savage, one of the best to ever do it. Definitely one of my favorite players. a true class act. But that 2011 Mavs team was a super team in their own right. They had Dirk, Jason Terry, Jason Kidd, Tyson Chandler, Shawn Marion, Caron Butler, Stojakavic, Jose Barea aka the Puerto Rican Allen Iverson, Corey Brewer, Brendon Heyward, Deshawn Stevenson. That team was so stacked they had to blow it up the next season cause they couldn't pay all of them.
Pretty funny how Kevin Durant said he wanted to be like Dirk Nowitski who took a paycut to be loyal. Kevin Durant took a paycut for the opposite reason. 🤦♂️
In the 10-11 season, Dirk had a bunch of help from Jason Terry and Shawn Marion and Tyson Chandler and Jason Kidd was still amazing not to mention Caron Butler, Peja Stojakovic, JJ Barea, and Rodrigue Beaubois. Dirk had great role players and super experienced veterans to work with
It was 2005. European Championship finals in Belgrade, Serbia. Serbia was the host, everyone expected gold medal, but the team played like crap and had an early exit. In the finals it was Germany vs Greece, and near the end Greece had a big lead and it was pretty obvious that they will win it. So 3 or so minutes to the end Dirk gets subbed and goes of the floor and all the people in the arena stood up and gave a legend a standing ovation for a couple of minutes. And there is no more perfect world to describe Dirk Nowitzki than a legend. And that crowd is nasty btw.

2. Malone
3. KG
4. Dirk
5. Mchale
Players like AD, Towns and Boogie learned from KG.
no way man KG had no help Dirk had some
Great video! Interesting facts! But what's a picture of the Backstreet Boys 6:52 got to do with anything??
hahah
Tomn8er what do you think about dirks physique?
I didn't know you were a basketball man. Maybe make a video along the lines of which players could of been a body builder. Like how Phil heath went from hoops to sandows.
A bit laugh haha.
David Iron Necklace *have
Everyone keeps on saying that Miami lost because they dont have the chemistry yet but I say you dont get to the finals if you dont have good chemistry. Dallas just beat an excellent Miami Heat. What of the best runs in playoff history.
Jayde Jay lmao they weren't saying that shit when they beat the bulls in the ECF.
Just a bunch of lame excuses.
I love Dirk! I am so lucky to have witnessed his greatness! That 2011 run is one of a kind
best Mavs player of all time!
J.J. Barea is better, Dirk is a close 2nd
stop trolling, lmao.
Yep, not even close whoever is 2nd.
Uli went out on a limb by calling Dirk the best of all time in a Mav's uniform. Is Mark Agguire in second place? Being serious in asking this.
possible
A lot of love and respect for this guy, at least he got a ring, it's hard to find another player like him
Bruh Dirk is like 200pts away from being #5 on the scoring list he gotta make that before retiring
yeah but I think LeBron will pass him shortly after, so Dirk will probably return back to #6
Andy Hoops Yeah but if he doesn’t then he would be seventh
He's already confirmed that he's coming back for season 21. So he's gonna get it for sure.
Dirk is a great Bball player. I always put respect on him. His play soon will be missed..
The most unselfish player in the NBA

@@projectawesome5675 your joking right
Dirk's Trash talk is savage lmao.
Warriors Fan Since July 2, 2018 shut it, you burger! :)
The greatest power forward of all time
GLEH no dirk was great, but he isn't even an average defender
Dirk was very underrated as a defender
Ahrnaf dirk always had good timing when he would swat the ball whenever they when up for a layup.
I love dirk
My favorite basketball player
But he is top 2 for me
Duncan is just sooo hard to overthrow
EzLo 25 Duncan wasn’t a PF he was a center
Dirk is a positive legend. Not just in Basketball but in all of sports.
You could also include his charity work and also his personality...
He is my fav player of all time but even I didn't knew that he took a 72 million dollar pay cut in just 1 off-season! He is easily the 2nd best power forward of all time but great video!
I think you meant the best
kanishk Shah the top 4 could go in any order
Aaron Anders no Kevin Garnett Tim duncun and more
the stats in the Playoff run are unbelievable. and this Performance against so much Allstars.
That's my boi!
The reasons we love Dirk here in dallas! And that playoff run was magical. He did it the year I graduated from high school.
Can’t forget 3pt contest champ💪🏽
Thank you for making this. Dirk is very underrated but I didn't even know those facts about the massive pay-cuts. Makes it so great to know that he did at least win that one championship run.
Finally, someone talks about him
This was the greatest playoff round of all time. I was going to college in dallas at the time and when they were struggling against the trailblazers everyone on dallas radio were already talking about “blowing up the roster.” Very special playoff run, memorable even for me as a spurs fan.
Aye!! I video on my favorite player ever!!
GG Dirk. Well Played
I like to think KG and Dirk might have had a better career than Tim Duncan if they played in San Antonio
Ish Will
The difference in teams between Duncan versus KG and Dirk was that they were rarely given any help.
I know
I think dirk would've been better than Duncan individually but Duncan's defense can't be overlooked
Andre Gutierrez Dirk cooked KG
Im from dallas even ppl that are not mavs fans love dirk
Smooth transition to that seat geak pitch, pro
thanks haha
Thank you sooooo much for making this video! Dirk is my favorite athlete of all time. I still remember that 2011 run like it was yesterday!
2011 playoffs
Critics and analysts
1st round: mavs will not even pass 1st round, Aldridge will prove he's the best player in this series(blazers)
2nd round: this is the end road for the mavs, they're facing the 2 time defending champions(Lakers)
West finals: Mavs will not make it to the finals, coz they're too old they can't keep up with the young, athletic and talented thunders
Finals: Mavs dont stand a chance, coz they're up against a super team and the best player in the world
Hahaha funny that every round of that years playoffs everybody counted them out
That is not entirely accurate, the Mavs had one big expert supporter by the name of Chuck aka Charles Barkley. I recall he picked them in all these rounds, and in particular versus the Lakers he made it clear that the Lakers wouldn't stand a chance against the more balanced and versatile Mavs. Turned out he was the only real expert with this picks among the NBA TV panel of experts that year...
Galatin yah but the thing is most if not all, "analysts" didn't believe that Mavs will win the series.
@@Galatin true, Charles chosed mavs on all rounds but its like 95% of the population never believed in Charles' decisions.
Damn, this reminds me of this year Raptor's playoff run xDDD each round almost every analyst thought they lose and ended up winning xD
Being here in Dallas thru dirks whole career really showed how one athlete can change a whole franchise he won't get the respect he deserves till he retires but everyone in the city already knows we have a all time great never will there be another
All Time Best Power Forwards:
1. Tim Duncan
2. Dirk
3. Karl Malone
4. Charles Barkley
You sleeping on KG.
Dub Dueces your listing in gsme abilities, not career accolades. Dirk has has a better career than Barkley.
To be fair he had Tyson chandler who was one of the best defensive players in the league at the time. He even won the award the year after. his impact on the team is greatly underrated.
dirk nowitzki>loyalty
lebron james>never mind
I respected Dirk because he is loyal to mavs .even having a low salary.who doesn't love this dude?
Salty heat fanboys thinking the finals were rigged that year lmao
I am not really surprised by his loyalty.
He is german.
We are that way.
You’re turning into mike korzemba, 6 FACTS THAT PROVE NOWITZKI IS NOT HUMAN great vid tho
Nifty Noldog Mike is fucking corny. His whole content consists of an overly exaggerated yelling and making unnecessary “what if” videos. Nobody cares what would’ve happened because we’ll never know.
Whoa there buddy obviously people care, he gets millions of views bud
Mike is good
Babyface Tommy
I mean, yeah.
Idiots gotta watch something, right?
Jaden Foster
If by good you mean "make wild claims like a child that try to garner buzz and make every what if scenario so unrealistic and stupid that it proves he knows nothing about real basketball and should just stick to playing 2k",
Then yeah.
Korzemba is really good.
He's good at making clickbait and appealing to the lowest common denominator.
Hands down one of the greatest and most humble players in the NBA and hands downs one of the best channels on TH-cam!
Hands down my fav NBA player!
Dirk Shouldve NEVER taken a pay Cut for a billionaire. Two he didn't crumble in 06 refs killed his team
Salary cap. Man... People really be too ready to thrash other people
Dirk one of a kind. There will be another mj never another Dirk
If anyone has a similar skillset, it’s Kevin Durant, and even he is a freak of nature and a once in a generation type baller. There won’t ever be another Dirk Nowitzki.
@Jim Brodie absolutely. Hell, Dirk even knocked KD out of the playoffs that year.
My favorite player ever, I'll never forget that 2011 championship run, some of the most fun times I had watching basketball, so sad he's nearing retirement now, time flies. Great vid though.
I'm sure Mark Cuban hooked him up on the side 😉
Really hope he did, he deserves it so much
I don't think he needs it. He earns enough money to have a good life and he lacks the ego to feel devalued when paid less
yea, you can tell he is happy with what he has, if he wasn't he wouldn't have took pay cuts or he would have left a long time ago. i guess he figured he was blessed as soon as he was drafted
He doesn't need to. Dirk owns Dallas. I bet he never pays for anything anywhere he goes & that'll last for 40 years after he's retired. He'll probably get some sort of lifetime personal services contract with the Mavs once he retires, anyways. And he deserves it.
Joshua Frick He's gonna live like a fucking King for the rest of his life.
This guy is simple but he owns a big big big heart of a CHAMPION!!! Man!!! You are so amazing!!!
Yo that 2011 playoff run was definitely a possessed man
Fr Dirk legacy gonna be remembered for decades to come, even if he was half the man he was he would still be more of a man than KD ever was.
Best European player in history, enough said
man, Dirk is just special! love him and his buddy Nash. both class acts.
0:03 he was a champion Tf he is a champion
Jmega14 ? You never knew he won The 2011 finals against the Miami heat! How you not know?
So much more respect for this cold ass brotha. Dirk's savage. When I think of the Mavericks I word associate Dirk. A 7ft man, solid, dependable, with a shot... Wow this man's nice.
Who disliked this video? How does anyone not love dirk
Been to Dirk's charity baseball game a few years back at the Wrigley's stadium near DFW, I was introduced to his legacy by my friends and huge respect to the man! Then there is the classic sad tale of how really good players are let down by poor decisions of their team.
“Nowadays, you basically need multiple allstars or superstars to win a championship”
2019 Kawhi: Hold my beer
Affinity well some people decided to step up (Fred van fleet ) ( Kyle Lowery) ( swaggy p
Also both Klay and KD were out
Thank you Dirk you legend, from all Mavs fan we’re glad you passed 30k points and are up with the greats, we are happy you put it all on the line to get us a championship. Your teammates owe you a thank you for the ring. THANK YOU DIRK NOWITSKI!
Da White Clutch Giraffe🏀!!!! Dirkkkk Nowitzkiiii
You would have thought the Mavs had lost the finals the way Dirk walked off & out of the building at the end. He was just so overwhelmed and humbled to finally win it all, great player!
Did you just say RiDIRKulous??!?
As a guy from Dirks hometown, we are very proud of him.. not only because he is such a basketball legend, because of his modesty.. A good role model for kids,! Play the game because you love it and not for the money only. Grüße aus Würzbug ;-)
“ReDIRKulous”
Great Video. One small correction: The OKC Thunder were NOT favored to beat the Mavs in the 2011 Western Conference Finals.
my bad, yeah you're right
I hate to Say it but kinda. Yes we destroy the lakers, but go rewatch sports shows like first take that year, they keep saying WE be out every round , blazers, Lakers, and okc especially after there win and Harden showing. But hey WE shock the World i dont mind the disrespect. It was our time!
That is not true. 13 out of 18 ESPN Writers picked the Mavs to beat OKC in the 2011 Western Conference Finals
www.espn.com/nba/playoffs/2011/matchup/_/teams/thunder-mavericks
Damian Outlaw i remember the show with Michael wilbon Magic Johnson and two other Guy they use to do also the halftime show. Only one of four picked the mavs. Maybe the smart one picked them but we got no love on tv.
I understand all of that. People were picking against the Mavs all post season...including the series against Portland.
All Im stating is that it is incorrect to say the Mavs were not favored against OKC. They were huge underdogs to the Lakers and slight underdogs to the Heat.
They were favored to beat Portland and OKC.
that 1 ring was better than anybchampionship, no superteam , no allstar team mate , pure talent and hardwork . heads up to dirk #GOAT.
That’s how you call loyal to a team right there. Taking a 72 million dollar pay cut to a team that was only just him.
In Germany there is the philosophy that no player is ever bigger than the team
Losing in 06 and his mvp season gave us the best version of dirk in 2011, winning that makes all those defeat a lot sweeter.
Is sad that I already knew this? XD Then again, I'm a die-hard Mavs fan. XD #MFFL
the mavs suck
What does MFFL mean? Is it "Mavs For Fuckin' Life"?
Kevin Murtagh Mavs Fan For Life
Khalid Ahmed Ah, cool. I shoulda thought of that haha. I don't know though..... Mavs For Fucking Life is dope haha!
Say "XD" one more time, and I'll bring out the *SCOOTER*.
He also had success with the German national team with even less help than in Dallas, although he never won any gold medals, he won a bronze medal in the 2002 World Championship and silver in the 2005 European Championship.
Best PF of all time! But foreigners get no love in the US...
this is why I love Dirk Nowitzki so much! He KNOWS what loyality means! Danke Dirk :)
Goat
This is why we love Dirk.. A Legend without haters
In the 10-11 season, Dirk had a bunch of help from Jason Terry and Shawn Marion and Tyson Chandler and Jason Kidd was still amazing not to mention Caron Butler, Peja Stojakovic, JJ Barea, and Rodrigue Beaubois. Dirk had great role players and super experienced veterans to work with
You know Da Wae? Caron butler and beabouis where both Injured
And you are the greatest in comment section 😂😂
Yes, Jason Terry and Shawn Marion - the epitome of a super team. Almost as good as Bosh, Wade and that other dude. Not.
@@markus_k I'm still cringing at that shooting form
It was 2005. European Championship finals in Belgrade, Serbia. Serbia was the host, everyone expected gold medal, but the team played like crap and had an early exit. In the finals it was Germany vs Greece, and near the end Greece had a big lead and it was pretty obvious that they will win it. So 3 or so minutes to the end Dirk gets subbed and goes of the floor and all the people in the arena stood up and gave a legend a standing ovation for a couple of minutes. And there is no more perfect world to describe Dirk Nowitzki than a legend. And that crowd is nasty btw.
The mavs should make a statue of Dirk
mad respect for Dirk. off the court, he really has embraced the US. look up his charity work in Dallas. he and his wife are amazing ambassadors.
How about Dirk who doesn't have an agent.
I’ve actually talked to dirk ones he’s so down to earth, he was the one to start the conversation
GOAT
Great video love how you put your video together.
Dirk is a legend
