A fascinating video and nicely done. Have you ever bothered to rough out the chamber to save wear on the reamer and time? Just curious. I wish I could keep my shop so clean! WH
Great video and great work! What holder are you using for your floating reamer holder. I assume you have a straight shaft on it. I like the idea of using it instead of the tailstock. I just don’t trust the tailstock on the PM lathes for precision work.
Nice video man easy to watch and clear
Glad you liked it!
Nice work!
Thanks!
Good job.
Thanks

Yes I have, I have since switched to cnc. I only leave about .010 for the reamer to cut
Well done! 👍
Thank you! 👍
@@DustinDrews1 What's the name of the twist bit you used at the beginning to cut the inner shelf?

I use a quick change tool post and a MT4 holder that clamps to it. Reamer holder is a JGS.
Thank you!

Hey Dustin, What tool insert and holder are you using for threading? Great job buddy.
Mesa tool in AZ
Carriage stop, is that something you made, bought seperatly or did it come with the lathe? Seems neat with the micrometer adjustment.
I bought it with the machine. It really helps when chambering
Would you share your chambering worksheet?
I found it on Brownells website.

What oil are you using in your flushing system?
Rigid extreme cutting fluid. I have switched over to cnc in the shop I am running a water based product now. But I prefer the oil for chambering
What app do you use for the blueprints

I just use a blueprint photo and a photo editing app.
