My son struggles with ADHD, depression and anxiety...this is his favorite group. I encouraged him to research this group and when he discovered that they do a lot to help those with mental health struggles, he establish a strong connection with them. He know all of their songs! I also struggle hard with anxiety, depression, and ADHD. And unless you have it you have NO IDEA how hard it can be to cope with all 3 at once. This song tho. It makes us feel SEEN and HEARD. Like we aren’t alone. And there aren’t many bands who can do that. So whatever band we find that can do that, it means more to us than anyone will EVER know

Couldn’t agree more. They were one of my favorites before I ever saw them live. First time was around 2012 and they immediately became my absolute favorite and I’ve never passed up an opportunity to see them since. Including this past Friday night and the show was incredible as usual. I try to get everyone I know to check them out. They have something for everyone
Shinedown is a band like no other. Their connection with their fans is multigenerational.
Shinedown has kept me from being in and living in that dark place. Their music resonates on a variety of levels no other music has hit.

I'm autistic too and battled with several depressions and I can tell you this, dont cry. This songs tells us to be happy with ourselves, all our flaws are human.. I bet your daughter is wonderful person and has qualities that you won't find that easily in 'normal´ persons.

I have a niece with autism and a few friends who are adults with autism or some type medical condition(deformities, etc), they've all cried to me saying they couldn't handle it all by themselves without their support people(me being one of them) I love them all so much and have been to appointments and everything with them...your daughter is a strong human being as are you, we've all got to support each other #onelove

I'm sorry for your loss I lost my grandma aka my nana I was her baby no one was aloud to touch me she really loved the oldies like the beach boy's I'm bi and prefer girls and my dad turned his back on me and my nana she knew and I didn't have to tell her about it I never got over her passing at her funeral I was so depressed and crying that I lost my balance and fell to my knees if I ever needed anything she'd get it done I'm sorry for rambling on lol that's a bad habit of mine I wish you all the luck and again I'm sorry for your loss this song hit me hard I now have a therapist and psychiatrist and I'm on medication for it all so rest assured I'm doing good

Shinedown is still one of my top favorite groups. They’ve been my go to for the last twenty years whenever I felt depressed or alone.
Atlas Falls and Get Up are two that I listen to daily.
I have been listening to Shinedown for 20 years as well, but never heard Atlas Falls until a couple of years ago. Another amazing song by Brent Smith and the band! My favorite songs are Unity and Devour.
This is their newest release...I may have already said this...Shinedown has a fantastic catalogue...start at the beggining and take the Journey...its absolutely worth it!!!❤❤❤❤❤ Theres a live version of this song at a concert in Wisconsin recently...it on point...they are awesome live!!!

This song and Daylight are probably 2 of the hardest hitting for me. I've been struggling lately between loosing my grandfather last year and grandmother early this year. Every time i find myself struggling I go out to look for reactions to their songs and cry.

Lost my 32 year old son to suicide on 12-16-2018 and the grief never stops. I have been a Shinedown fan for a long time. The 1st time I heard this song it spoke to me. We are all struggling with something and thank you for telling us you love us no matter what.❤

Shinedown is great! At their concerts, doesnt matter where you are sitting they make you feel like you are part of them. I got to meet the band in 2018 and they are himble, kind just awesome!!

I saw them in July at the Hard Rock in Gary IN. It was my birthday & Brent kneeled down and sung to me. I just about fell over. I’m I’m seeing them in October that will make 3 times this year. I’m 69 & a groupie. 💯😂

I lost my 1 year old and I don't know if you've listened to memories by disturbed but it hits so hard but feels so good to listen to. I hold emotions back and it helps with relief so it doesn't build up to much

Brother we found out in July 2016 my dad had Pancreatic Cancer and we lost him 3 months later Oct 10 2016. It almost killed me. It still kills me to go home even though my mother is still alive. He was always on the porch sitting in swing or on his tractor mowing which he loved to do. I still break down all the time. Listen to John Micheal Montgomery I miss you a little. Man it hits deep for me. John Micheal wrote it after losing his dad, which he puts in the video. Thanks Man, Love you!! Stay strong

The last time I saw Shinedown was in 2016 with my fiance in May of that year shortly after that show in September she passed away so their music has been a memory of her for me. This song has become my favorite by them cause it resonates to me on many levels I will always be a fan of them.

I "barely" heard this song playing in a store and it caught my ear......as it were, as unfamiliar songs do from time to time. I only heard.....'got invited to the lunatic ball', and I kept repeating that line in my head until I got home. Google of course, is great. I'm 6'2 225 and I'm no way afraid to admit when I found it on YT and played it, the rain came out of my eyes too. Fantastic music.

I suffer from psychosis and schizophrenia, I was walking home in the rain I stopped a kid from a bridge no words I hugged him I told him I know you’re alone he made it home that day …I never forgot him or his pain he was 14 a baby !!! So young so scared so alone I want no credit for helping him I just know somewhere he’s home and knows he’s not alone now

Me and my buddy go up north to houghton lake and work on trucks in the garage blasting music on Yamaha speakers. He’s into electrical and mechanical stuff I love trucks and doing stuff like that. We both have a love for the same singers and bands in music. This is one song that makes me think about those times we spent working on stuff late at night up north in the middle of no where at 18 years old. Love you Ben.

It's wild how the mind isolates itself so much. But then we see everyone going through similar struggles. It's a weird irony. Like not wanting to be a burden and share our struggles when we're all hurting in some way. I say this despite hiding my own issues. I’m a little late to the party but I think you are doing something beautiful and amazing. I work as a caregiver in oncology. I have a lot of beautiful days and sadly a lot of dark days. Watching and seeing people fight one of the hardest battles of their life is exhausting. I love that the first video I saw of yours was one of my personal favorite bands.

Sure sales alone may not be an indication but the fact that they have more number one hits than any other band in the history of the genre sure means something. Have you listened to the Smith and Meyer albums? From 2020-2022. It’s mostly covers and a few originals but if you’re not convinced check that out and see if it changes your mind. When it comes to who is or is not the best is purely subjective. In my opinion and the numbers back that up I think Brent is the best. Range and ability plus to take a massive hit from a legendary band like Lynard Skynard and make their song Simple Man one of their biggest hits is nearly impossible. That has to be pure gold or the fans will turn on you so fast. So there is another Indication of the talent level. It’s one of their most requested songs. Considering the number of songs they have to choose from it’s not from having a shallow pool to chose from.
