- Everyone wants (and needs!) to learn how to play solid, steady rolling backup down the neck, and we're gonna do it! I really do think this is one of the best and most applicable lessons I've created. It consists of a 30 minute video lesson, two different tabs and rhythm mp3's! In this lesson we will: 1) Learn some basic rolls 2) Learn to walk from G to C and D 3)Apply what we've learned to "Unclouded Day." Enjoy!

Really great lesson! Has helped me a ton with both rolls and fretting problems, thanks!
Well, I have ts say, I like a bit of humor with my lesson. To each their own I guess. I love the fact that I can see these new lessons on youtube. And then, since I am a Gold Pick member, I can go right to your website and get the complete lesson. What a blessing it is to be a Gold Pick member!
Very kind of you, Randall!

I can play banjo now that I don't have my fake nails on anymore but haven't in awhile
DOSE THE THUMB EVER GO PAST THE THIRD STRING
Larry Stallings YES IT DOES, BUT PLAY HOWEVER YOURE COMFORTABLE
How do I print out the tabs
What standard tuning do you recommend for a 4 string banjo?
DMTV119 when tuning a 4 string tenor you first start by cutting the strings with side cutters then throw the banjo in the dump then go to the closest store and buy a 5 string
So I have a 4 string banjo... Is it the same?
No
no
@@NoahGothelf yeah ik i actually learned how to play the 5 string banjo pretty well. 3 years i posted this comment.
@@NoahGothelf i was 17
@@NoahGothelf banjo is the best instrument in my opinion. I learned how to restring, clean, and tune it pretty well. I even learned how to play by ear. But sadly i put it down because i havent had time to play.
Which is easier to learn to play, guitar or banjo z
Hmmm, that's a tough one but I think easier to get rhythm to accompany yourself on guitar, but making noise is banjo.
@@BanjoBen I think I’ll buy a banjo. I’ve never played anything in my life. But I’m determined,, I’m 61 with lots of time on my hands, thanks for replying
Banjo for sure, the guitar has too many strings!🤣
What kind of capo is that?
That's an Elliott Elite Banjo "C" capo- www.elliottcapos.com/CaposElite.html
The best capo on the market today.

You seem to have grown up and stopped this crazy hill billy character. Your a good tutor and player and don't need a gimmic. I enjoy your new presentation.
Yes, agree. I always wince when that flying hillbilly start begins a lesson.
Well... I mean I didn’t care for the character myself but it got him 80k+ subscribers and a beautiful self sustaining business so I guess he did something right.
Raymond Whiteway-Roberts , remember , hillbillies cant spell you’re, as in you’re a good tutor.
The only one thing that piss me off is the statement by the Ultimate Lead Guitar promoter that says, "the greatest curse that plague a guitar player is." Come on, that's not a curse to say the least. Stop saying that word and you'll realize many more potential learners/student will flock to your lessons.
I'm not sure you've grown up at all. I thought the hillbilly character was a cousin who dropped in. You're a good tutor with a loosened up gimmick that shows off your moderately recent but not new or old presentation.
There was no chord walking in this video.
I am sorry that you stopped the crazy hill billy character. Your a good tutor and player and the funny presentation loosens it up. I enjoyed your old presentation.
