    I love this song on so many levels! I've never heard country music sung in French! I just love that. I also like when Stompin' Tom (or anyone for that matter) sings seamlessly in two languages in the same song.

    I say the same about the film 'Bon Cop, Bad Cop'. It's a brilliant satire and spot-on painting of the essential Canadian relationship between the English and French parts of Canada.

    Wow, thanks! I had always wondered what he was singing. I knew it was French, but I couldn't make out the words. It looks like the English lyrics singing are a translation of the preceding French lyrics.

    The French lyrics were written by Nicole Dumont, and the name of the song is Hommage aux bucherons.

    Aside from changes to make the lyrics fit, it's nearly the same as the english verses.

    @bk20034 ya he finaly unite elgish candian with frenchy candian :) its why it make me proud to be canadian, because we can live, with english laguage and french laguage as one country :)

    hes just repeating everything in both languages :) soo just put all the lyrics into english and ur good to go :) im bilingual soo im alllll good :p

    I am french Canadian, and I did not understand a fucking word he said in french, poor attempt. (I wouldn't be french Canadian if I didn't complain)
