The only thing you would missed with Kotaro is a hidden boss fight with Kotaro and that you get a ninja battle cutscene between Sasuke and him afterwards. There's also a hidden Kanbei fight in the Osaka Moonlight Battle, but you can only get to him using a Ninja character
Not necessarily. There's a roof north of the long chasm that is pretty close to the wooden platform. I found Kanbe with Mitsunari by dash-jumping and doing his aerial combo and then his aerial charge to get to the two platforms.

Eventually the secret path will lead you to a wooden platform with flying ninjas in front of it above the area at 34:42. Use Sasuke's dash-jump gliding to cross to the other wooden platform. Then follow the path and cross the chasm above the area at 36:13 and you'll see a hole in the ground and hear a familiar voice cry out "Naze jyaa!?" ("Whyyy!?"). Jump into the hole and the Special Reward is yours. 2. Defeat Yoshitsugu Otani twice. He always spawns again with 50% health when Mitsunari is at 50% health.
The Kotaro fight is easy to find, there are 2 ways to get to him that are almost the same One is climbing a set of platforms on the final ship to the right and launching yourself with a ballista the 2nd one is on the 2nd ship to the right, which has a ballista that launches to the above mentioned ship, right next to the ballista that takes you to Kotaro He's not a hard fight, and you only get a cool cutscene if you fight him in story mode with Sasuke, but theres like 4 or so blue chests there so its worth it for money/items
I was so bummed when I saw this play through doesn’t have it. I just wanted to show a friend because it’s easily one of the coolest animated fights between them.

I like the little hint at 42:45 that gives away sasuke is a clone before the reveal , because when sasuke usually dies he calls yukimura "danna"

After having missed that much I may need to replay Sasuke's whole story.
