This is my version of a "Meta Snapshot" for Killers, I made the same video 9 months ago but the meta has changed quite a bit since then with Grim Embrace and Pain Resonance being very dominant, Hex builds are on the rise I would invest into the stonks and hold until Penti gets nerfed. Keep in mind I'm not purposefully making unique builds here and there will be a lot of repeats simply because some perks are stronger than others. For Trapper specifically there is something to be said for Eruption over Grim Embrace because his ability to lock down a 3 gen with traps is pretty consistent.
Not really, there is the issue that kicking the gen and Eruption count as separate damage forms, so it can actually detriment you since it will take less for the entity to block them, making the 3 gen harder to defend
I feel like no way out kind of fell off with 70 second hook stages, I'm in love with iri flesh now tho I think all 3 of those addons can work, I think with pain res and grim having that extra chase potential works out
@@hens333 I have one big problem with Grim Embrace. If Bubba face better Survivors - he won't get 4th Stack on Grim everytime. I had games where better Survivors just didn't let activate Grim at 4 stacks where No Way Out can give Bubba additonal 1 or 2 kills. Just my experience, but yeah Grim Embrace is not a bad choice, but I think No Way Out still on top.
Im from NA and i love Hens' accent. Im a survivor main that has dabbled into killer and fell in love with how crazy killer can get. Thanks for showing a great build to use on the unknown!

I agree with both of you. None of these builds are very unique or really highlight the killers strengths, but most of those builds are just worse than copy pasted gen slowdown at the moment
I love the amount of effort you put into this video, and while I understand the comments saying that they're almost all the same and the killer meta is stale, I'm honestly going to use this almost as a "how to" vid where you showcase how to work the killer's power and perks together into a match. Really helpful for my survivor main butt who was literally just considering dabbling in killer last night XD
im sad that grim embrace, pain res, and ruin are staples for every strong build. i wish dbd would buff some other perks into the meta and integrate gen regression basekit for all killers. then they'd finally be able to nerf pain res
Grim isn't necessarily counter-synergy with Freddy, as beginning the teleport channel before Grim triggers will not interrupt the channel, letting you teleport to the now-blocked generator; It can also help hide the fact you are teleporting there. At shack you can also place snares in the doorways and not next to the window, as the snares will prevent fast vaults for the full duration of the hinder (5 seconds). This will let you either get the hit on the window, or force shack pallet to drop.
You could also potentially use Hex: Crowd Control on Dracula to potentially get some value with bat form potentially? I’ve tried it and it yields some fairly good results
Personally I would use horse meat instead of MOTR on Knight as it can give you hits with the assassin that are guaranteed unless they play perfectly and can extend chases long enough so that you can walk up for a hit. MOTR is more quality of life now and is not nearly as needed as it was before the rework.
That was some absolutely gorgeous Huntress gameplay. I love Concoction as I run a purely aura reading build just to be sniping with hatchets. Hens’ hatchets make mine look like a day 1 baby huntress’ hatches
As a knight main I would recommend replacing bbq with surveillance and maybe dms with surge or ruin. Surveillance works amazingly with his power and regression perks help it give some insane info

I understand the consistency and value that comes with Rule Set 2 and starting traps, but I think there's something to be said for the Last Will and Workshop Grease combo. Since her buff, I have found that you can use Ambush to consistently outplay most tiles. Pig can dash so far and so quickly with these addons, shortening chases and leading to TREMENDOUS mid game pressure. But, the guaranteed slowdown of rule set 2 and starting traps is also pretty good for people who don't like the clunky ambush and are mostly playing as M1 killer-lady. Then I'd replace Brutal with Agitation, just preference. Love Pig. Love these meta snapshot videos too!! Theyre gonna be awesome to come back and see in a few years!
For Pig I use those addons with a pentimento build it's far better. They start off having to do hats so they aren't on gens. Mid game they have to do pentimento (and whatever hex you choose to build) or you start snowballing so they aren't on gens. Late game you'll probably have too much pressure due to penti/other hex's so they aren't on gens. It's a great build if you want force them to do side objectives
Trying to figure out why specifically that Ruin and Undying are used on The Unknown instead of Pain Res or even Deadlock. Oppression doesn't seem too bad an option, the same philosophy for it applies to BBQ and works as a sub-regression perk to pair with a main gen regression perk imo
I opt to go for Surge, Thrilling Tremors, Grim Embrace, and recently Floods of Rage on Dracula, gives you less worry with kicking and hooking and lets you be more oppressive if you decide to slug for a bit. Floods can be swapped with whichever, but grim + thrilling on Drac is a nasty combo since he can straight teleport to whichever gen is being worked on at that moment
I'm not a top tier killer or anything, but I feel that trick blades are one of the best add-ons you can use for Trickster. It severely lessens his major weakness of line of sight. Especially with main event, you can turn any loop into a blender. That's just my opinion though.
with trapper i love running honing stone and fastening tools, the perks are very similar to the ones you run here, most times survivors get themselves out of traps so i feel it gets great value

The same build (basically slowdown perks) are the best build for all killers, no exceptions. Not saying its good or bad, just saying that BHVR should do something about it, the same way they nerfed surv perks like DS or DH because they were used too much but still resonance pain is used in 100% of builds since months and months ago, even since pre-nerf and yet they dont do anything about it.
From my experience knight has always been a knowledge check killer, either his guards do everything or literally nothing. I didn't watch the twitch vod unfortunately but the one perk that really gives the guards a hard time is sprint burst an already very common perk
Mindbreaker is a must on ghostie. Will prevent those sprintbursts away from the gen. A really good build I run is mindbreaker, surge, thrilling tremors, and either deadlock or A Nurse's Calling. addons are philly and drop leg knife sheath.

Pop up build may have been at 1st then felt the perks used in game waz better and forgot to change pop up. Idk it's a looonnng vid so I understand. I think what happened with the Kate in your myers game is she thought it was tombstone not piece. So she can't be instantly killed if she sits on the gen.
I think that a lot of killer builds will probably include hex perks. It is probably due to the perk "Dominance" from Dracula, which could function as a substitute for Undying. I dont think its as good as Undying, but i have seen a lot more hex perks lately
Im surprised to see deadlock not being relevant. I've always preferred it to grim embrace and feel that I tend to get more value from it. Maybe I should start incorporating grim more often.
I find that if you’re newer to blight like me you can use blood favour instead of grim embrace as quite a few survivors will panic that they can’t use the pallet and can lead to easy downs

I mean, you can rush to get the best perks in the game if you really want. Artist is an original character (can be bought with free currency) and has 3 perks that are in basically every single build in this video.
@@NewSirenSong Hugtech was anything but unpredictable, one just needed to learn when, how, from where, and to where, it was possible and act accordingly, granted most people didn't do that and that's why they resorted to just cry that "it had no counterplay". And of course, Blight is "fine", but it is much, much less fun and much, much more annoying to play as.
@rtristan8572 I think that if you believe turning any loop into a 50/50 with an unintended mechanic is a truly predictable play then you are unaware of what balance is, if you cannot have fun with the blight by getting unfair hits at what should be safe loops against one of the most aggressive killers in the game then you don't enjoy a balanced interaction, you want to be overpowered.

What if they gave trappers base kit another passive reading "when a survivor loses a health state a random trap gets set". I think that would really help trapper.
Me personally i like Hubris/Spirit Furry/Endurance/ (random interchangeable 4th perk) on Legion with the Iridescent Button and the never sleep build. But Hens Legion Build looks like a blast to so imma give it a try
for the onryo build. Change corrupt to coup. I used to main her, and after her last change nails + coup became essential. Corrupt is ok, but a waste of perk if you you have a game sense. I currently main chucky and I have to disagree on that build as well. The addons are aight, but the perks... especially on chucky I feel like corrupt is useless because if you have a game sense and can find survs quickly, you can down them quickly too. Grimm on chuck is essential, some slowdown as well, I have grown attached to jolt, it's free and fast and I dedicate 2 perks to auras. Currently wieve+bbq and chilly. They are bad, but sometime the value is there. I am waiting for new zanchin and predator, especially predator will be nice on chucky as on any undetectable on command killer, free aura. But I'll probably go zanchin+bbq. I don't ever kick pallets with chuck because that's a free boost to scamper distance, and survs think they are safe behind a pallet, but if you scamper and let go of the slice and dice, immediately after scamper you slice and get a free hit. You should treat pallets more or less as a huntress, animation lock are free hits with scamper. I usually don't care about addons on chuck, after the buff, there's not really need for them. Iri hat is nice if you kick pallets and don't want to, rat poison is always nice, extendo slice and dice is also huge. Go nuts with them.
I just use mostly aura reading perks since I suck at finding survivors. Here’s my Main set up. Darkness Revealed, Discordance, Nowhere to hide and ether Dragons Grip or Oppression. You can tell me if it’s good or bad
The addons used in the ghostface match did not match the addons you displayed for your no limits, best build. Which I'd bet caused you to wiff the first hit, expecting the speed boost. Also the nurse match, but you posted that already. A very nice showcase though.
On wesker i feel that not having egg, leather gloves or unicorn medallion is a bad take. lab photo is not actually that good and doesnt get that much beneficial use in games
On hag, I don't feel like unforseen is doing much for you. Hag is not a chaser, she's not gonna be patrolling gens. She finds herself a 3 gen, webs up and waits for survivors to get into the trap. Change it for surge maybe and it would bring you much more value. Also am I late to the party or something? When did hex:ruin become such a meta perk?

Good trapper build personally i switch out grim embrace for bo way out but fun build also trappers purple stone addon and iri stone is his best combo in my opinion as bloody coil is good but both stone addons are better together and have better synergie
Damn the bat cooldown is wild now that I've seen it spammed, 6:04:28 this shack chase in particular is crazy, dracula might be a bit overtuned now. I do want him to be easier to play, but this is kind of buff seems like the wrong direction to take.
With Plague it would have been better to pick Surge, Knock out, Infectious fright and coulrophobia. If survivors are not doing pools they are easy to slug while her Black Incense easily tells you were to go next after a down. It also fully counters DS, Dead hard and any of the other strong perks that are based on being unhooked.
no strongest build is going to have surge. I love the perk but it's not very good compared to other gen regression perks, Colrophobia is trash on plague, the other 2 perks are alright but remember the plague build is build around getting the most amount of value out of iri seal as possible so you aren't getting a lot of m1 downs.
Why the hell would you be using Coulrophobia on a killer than survivors do not, and cannot heal against? Surge isn't a great slowdown perk, Knock Out isn't a good perk in general, and Infectious is just whatever.
Skull Merchant does have footsteps they are just quiet. Doctor on the other hand has no footsteps. Also love how a team that had a bad start still got a 3 out against Skull Merchant, yet she gets nerfed into the ground because everyone still claims she is op and uncounterable 💀

Kind of telling of how stale the current DBD meta is that every single build has at least two of Grim, Pain res, or DMS.

Gen perks will always be meta though boring yes but also effective.
Pain Res doesn't need a nerf though? Other perks should be as strong as it so that there's actually a reason to run something else

I think what happened with the Kate in your myers game is she thought it was tombstone not piece. So she can't be instantly killed if she sits on the gen.
I think that a lot of killer builds will probably include hex perks.
It is probably due to the perk "Dominance" from Dracula, which could function as a substitute for Undying. I dont think its as good as Undying, but i have seen a lot more hex perks lately
Im surprised to see deadlock not being relevant. I've always preferred it to grim embrace and feel that I tend to get more value from it. Maybe I should start incorporating grim more often.
I find that if you’re newer to blight like me you can use blood favour instead of grim embrace as quite a few survivors will panic that they can’t use the pallet and can lead to easy downs

I mean, you can rush to get the best perks in the game if you really want. Artist is an original character (can be bought with free currency) and has 3 perks that are in basically every single build in this video.

Unpredictable hits deny the option of counterplay and turns safe loops into 50/50s. The blight will be fine without hug tech, I promise.
@@NewSirenSong Hugtech was anything but unpredictable, one just needed to learn when, how, from where, and to where, it was possible and act accordingly, granted most people didn't do that and that's why they resorted to just cry that "it had no counterplay". And of course, Blight is "fine", but it is much, much less fun and much, much more annoying to play as.
@rtristan8572 I think that if you believe turning any loop into a 50/50 with an unintended mechanic is a truly predictable play then you are unaware of what balance is, if you cannot have fun with the blight by getting unfair hits at what should be safe loops against one of the most aggressive killers in the game then you don't enjoy a balanced interaction, you want to be overpowered.

Me personally i like Hubris/Spirit Furry/Endurance/ (random interchangeable 4th perk) on Legion with the Iridescent Button and the never sleep build.
But Hens Legion Build looks like a blast to so imma give it a try

for the onryo build. Change corrupt to coup. I used to main her, and after her last change nails + coup became essential. Corrupt is ok, but a waste of perk if you you have a game sense.
I currently main chucky and I have to disagree on that build as well. The addons are aight, but the perks... especially on chucky I feel like corrupt is useless because if you have a game sense and can find survs quickly, you can down them quickly too. Grimm on chuck is essential, some slowdown as well, I have grown attached to jolt, it's free and fast and I dedicate 2 perks to auras. Currently wieve+bbq and chilly. They are bad, but sometime the value is there. I am waiting for new zanchin and predator, especially predator will be nice on chucky as on any undetectable on command killer, free aura. But I'll probably go zanchin+bbq. I don't ever kick pallets with chuck because that's a free boost to scamper distance, and survs think they are safe behind a pallet, but if you scamper and let go of the slice and dice, immediately after scamper you slice and get a free hit. You should treat pallets more or less as a huntress, animation lock are free hits with scamper.
I usually don't care about addons on chuck, after the buff, there's not really need for them. Iri hat is nice if you kick pallets and don't want to, rat poison is always nice, extendo slice and dice is also huge. Go nuts with them.
Really interesting build for Pyramid Head. I'm going to try that and I'll let you know how it goes! :)

I just use mostly aura reading perks since I suck at finding survivors. Here’s my Main set up. Darkness Revealed, Discordance, Nowhere to hide and ether Dragons Grip or Oppression. You can tell me if it’s good or bad

The addons used in the ghostface match did not match the addons you displayed for your no limits, best build. Which I'd bet caused you to wiff the first hit, expecting the speed boost. Also the nurse match, but you posted that already. A very nice showcase though.
As a wraith main, ppl have been gettin smart abt shadow dance, so i started running windstorm with brutal instead, very good build nonetheless ❤

On hag, I don't feel like unforseen is doing much for you. Hag is not a chaser, she's not gonna be patrolling gens. She finds herself a 3 gen, webs up and waits for survivors to get into the trap. Change it for surge maybe and it would bring you much more value. Also am I late to the party or something? When did hex:ruin become such a meta perk?

Good trapper build personally i switch out grim embrace for bo way out but fun build also trappers purple stone addon and iri stone is his best combo in my opinion as bloody coil is good but both stone addons are better together and have better synergie

Damn the bat cooldown is wild now that I've seen it spammed, 6:04:28 this shack chase in particular is crazy, dracula might be a bit overtuned now. I do want him to be easier to play, but this is kind of buff seems like the wrong direction to take.

With Plague it would have been better to pick Surge, Knock out, Infectious fright and coulrophobia. If survivors are not doing pools they are easy to slug while her Black Incense easily tells you were to go next after a down. It also fully counters DS, Dead hard and any of the other strong perks that are based on being unhooked.
no strongest build is going to have surge. I love the perk but it's not very good compared to other gen regression perks, Colrophobia is trash on plague, the other 2 perks are alright but remember the plague build is build around getting the most amount of value out of iri seal as possible so you aren't getting a lot of m1 downs.
Why the hell would you be using Coulrophobia on a killer than survivors do not, and cannot heal against? Surge isn't a great slowdown perk, Knock Out isn't a good perk in general, and Infectious is just whatever.
What I always think when I see this builds is: Are there always the most fun?

Skull Merchant does have footsteps they are just quiet. Doctor on the other hand has no footsteps. Also love how a team that had a bad start still got a 3 out against Skull Merchant, yet she gets nerfed into the ground because everyone still claims she is op and uncounterable 💀
