OMG YES! While listening to First, I didn't know it was written by Kara but I could 'hear' it. I don't know why but I could 'hear' Kara's voice resemblence in "I wanna come first", then checked the credits and there she was.
Glad the release version was changed too. Both versions have merit. Sometimes songwriters incorporate stuff which bands can delete rewrite and resubmit so the save face as co-songwriters. Hilary wasn't really about that, to my understanding. Kara is _highly intelligent_ and has passed through no small ordeals alone in the music industry on her journey.
This demo just hits different than the official release. I really love the pop-rock vibe this recording has and the chorus is just amazing. Hearing Kara's voice you can really feel the emotions and get into the song.
It seems to me they just removed Kara's lead vocals and replaced them with Hilary's, while leaving in Kara's background ones. I suspected that was her in the background on Hilary's version. I definitely like Kara better because her singing voice is stronger than Hilary's. Of course it helps that she wrote the song (in collaboration with John Shanks.)

When RIAA changes happened they shut down Hollywood records. almost as a "we aren't even going to *deal* with this fraud stuff [that the changes enabled]. That said. The Math was still on the album. A song Hilary did not like and has mentioned she did not like it. ...but a song which is brilliantly written beyond even the songwriter's understanding. Layer 2 stuff was junk, but layer 3 and 4 are as Casadee Pope would say... _Goallll-dennnn_ and particularly with the minus and plus offsets in radiofrequency transmission encryption. "If you can't do the math, then get out of the equation. Infers that upon equation check, anomally would be removed in order to balance the equation, or upon equation check, anomally disappears until external conditions check changes. That is a mathematical anomally in and of itself which makes a perpetual paradox that yields a truth: you are here, other things are here, music is here. But there are things which are faster than you and which appreciate music too. And for a moment everything can be in allignment and Heaven can reach out if the conditions are right. but I say upon equation check existance of anomally confirms higher level function. Where that concurrently equals true and false where all lower functions equal true plus one unknown. Or all lower functions equal false plus formerly unknown known equaling true, while that unknown equals false with the other knowns while it is with them. If that is makes sense. But in another spacetime if social stuff was purer we could look at it from a mathematical perspective and do what the last part of the song said literally what NOT to do 😄 and in that sense of it, we are the ones who have gone beyond the mark, and overanalyzed quantified and divided until there's (perceptively) nothing any more. But as far as I know, Kara's voice can still be heard as backup vocals in Hilary's version.
