- In this episode of the 2-Mag Review Zulu Alpha FC (firearms channel, not football club) reviews the very sexy Saiga 9 semi-auto pistol caliber carbine and Gérard blames an Aimpoint red-dot site for his shots not being where he was aiming for (in retrospect it was probably zeroed at a different distance). We also look at how to license this firearm in South Africa.

KP-9 and Saiga 9 magazines are interchangeable. I own both weapons and can confirm it.
Can I ask which one is better? Both are available in my country.

great review. ordered one. just waiting for it. say, what red dot do u recommend on this? i am eyeing other vortex crossfire or holosun 403r. though ive seen other vids that there seems to be a problem mounting rds because of the rail.
Overall your review is awesome and as far as your noise touches, is not your noise problem because red dot was little higher and not suitable for it.
If you shoot without it your problem would be solved,because I was facing the same problem like you with my aimpoint comp 4 sweden made and i removed and easy now😊
If someone wants to shoot with red dot then install pistol red dot.👍👍👍

Great review! Im in the market here in Poland for either a Scorpion or this Saiga. Straight of the shelf with no extra modifications, which of the 2 smgs would you purchase? Thanks Hamish
don't know if you can get it in SA but an ALG akt trigger might fit to give it a better trigger pull. its what i have in both my ak 47 and my kp9
the ALG AK Triggers do not work with this Saiga 9 !!

Yup, if a s13 firearm won't be sufficient for self defense a person can motivate for a semi-auto rifle under s14. Only valid for 2 years which is a bummer. Only 1 firearm per person possible under s14.
Just use the right hand to pull the charging handle!

Do u think is saiga 9 is a mil spec weapon comoared to the military counter part. Apart from its a semi auto weapon

What is the difference between ammunition in the pistol 9mm and the 9mm Kalashnikov saiga-9 exp kalashnikov semi automatic . Is there a difference or it could be installed on it. 9x19 mm. or the are same Thank you
Hi the Saiga 9 shoots 9x19mm, the same that would be used for a pistol that is 9x19mm, that is one of the great things about firearms like the CZ Scorpion, MP5, Saiga 9 etc.

Neah.. design flaw with dust cover issue and they want to charge R27k for it. Lmao. Scorpion has magpul support this thing will eventually sell for under R20k
It does lack the aftermarket possibilities of the scorpion, but it is a lot of fun. I hope it does drop below R20k then I’d definitely buy one!
@@gerardlabuschagne6255 It will follow the same path as that Baretta carbine :D you can pick them up from DaveSheer for R8k.
Cracked dust cover is not the main problem of this carbine... Receiver will be broken after a couple thousands shots because of poor open bolt system
