'When a honey badger is still young..his parents abandon him..' No wonder he acts like a disfynctional psychopathic teenager for the rest of his life then..
'When a honey badger is quite young, his parents abandon him, and he has to find his own food, and also undergo 4 years of grueling training in the honey badger warrior monk dojo, where they master groin chomping, eye gouging, python disemboweling, and other core disciplines of pure badassery'.
I love how they actually set all this up. Everything is in a fenced location obviously. From the juvenile honey badger. To the warthog in the hole. The hyena. Fake bird. And slapped together bee hive. All trained/fake. Ahhh truly inspirational vintage films. lol
I first thought the honey badger went for the birds nest, but then I realized it was out for honey, great teamwork between bird and badger, thanks for uploading
From Wikipedia’s “Animals Are Beautiful People“ article: 1974 South African nature documentary, written, produced, directed, filmed and edited by Jamie Uys, presented with comedic elements. It was filmed in the Namib Desert, the Kalahari Desert and the Okavango River. It was the recipient of the 1974 Golden Globe Award for Best Documentary Film.
@phosphorescent wave Plus they’re tough too, very dangerous animal to hunt for humans, she’s got no thing to be ashamed off, that’s a tough animal too👊
The Hyena didn't necessarily back down, they both cautiously sized each other up and respectfully went their separate ways. If there is one animal out there who could deal with a Badger it's a Hyena and that awesome bite force that comes with it. They both come from the same family though so the toughness is mutual.
So it's from this team work that tribal men in africa learned to use this bird. That's incredible,we learn a lot from animals, and we have a lot to learn from them yet.
Some cultures have pretty intense initiations to enter adulthood. I think the Honey Badger takes the cake though. Your parents just abandon you, and you fend for yourself by tussling with a warthog, chasing off a giant heyena, then covering yourself in thousands of stinging bees....And that's how dinner goes. Still they don't have to worry about marriage so I guess we win.
they can get away with it, because their built like tanks and sports cars put together, im sure humans would do the same if babies werent useless at birth and people had damn nigh indestrible bones super tough and skin with abit more flex to it to prevent snags cuts and slashes and punctures, and strong muscles from birth that didnt requite extra training=gym to be fit
You mean the Honey Badger wins by not worrying about marriage? Because when they "marry" in the US, they loose all the time. Have you ever heard of divorce?
I’ve seen similar in the Everglades where a large bird would fly over an lurking alligator and make a sound which had to be in bird talk “ALLIGATOR!!!”
Right off the bat it says the mother will abandon its young. Honey badgers stay with their young until the young out grow the adult which can take up to two years, just say'n...
What a difference 10 years makes, honey badgers are not abandoned by their parents while to young to understand how to hunt, but instead stay with their mothers for a significant amount of time(even for mammals).... p.s honey badgers are bmf'ers!!
Well that explains a lot. I didn't know Badger moms just ditch them as little ones. Like people who's mom abandon or abuse them they turn into a psychopath and try eat anything that moves face.
There exists a symbiotic relationship between the Honey Badger and a "small bird?" "Fascinating, Captain," Spock would indubitably while staring down some green screen portal on the bridge of the Starship Enterprise, exclaim to Kirk. T'anks for posting this, woodsteven5.
regardless of this being a staged incident, the honey guide bird actually does exist and has been filmed doing the same thing with honey badgers, humans, and other various animals...
FYI, all the animals in this clip are paid actors
besides the obvious fake bird...
It definitely has that poor early 80’s “construction safety video” quality.
From the film called 'Beautiful People'.
Ik

Too bad it's not true tho, they stay with their parents for an abnormal long time.
This not facts. Just saying they usually stay with there parents for very very long. But I like your comment lol its funny
ahahhahaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
LOL 😂
Yea
'When a honey badger is quite young, his parents abandon him, and he has to find his own food, and also undergo 4 years of grueling training in the honey badger warrior monk dojo, where they master groin chomping, eye gouging, python disemboweling, and other core disciplines of pure badassery'.

World appears fake, not actually.

I'm amazed about such a bird's existence
1:44 honey badger's deep instinct tells him to go for the hyena's balls.
Wanted to make an Eunuch of the hayena
Hyena likes his balls. Who doesn't? Lol.
that was an eventful afternoon for the young honey badger lol he must've slept well that night.
Honey badger is the drunken kung fu master of the animal kingdom
Poor baby. It just hungry. Smart bird. Helping together with the badger.
Warthog: I'LL END YOU!!
honey badger: chill im just hungry
Immediately reminded me of this line from a Megan Thee Stalion freestyle, "you don't want it with me B*TCH!" LOL
I first thought the honey badger went for the birds nest, but then I realized it was out for honey, great teamwork between bird and badger, thanks for uploading
So the honeybadger is Perseus and the honey-bird is Bubo; wonderful relationship.
It's from a documentary called "Animals are Beautiful People" I remember it being very fun, about 25 years ago.
Damien Dimitri Hell yeah I got to watch it then
This video is obviously much older then 25 year's.....This is late 60s or 70s

Thanks Damien...;)
Heard from another documentary that this teamwork was not true. Several test were done by using the birds call, and badger completely ignored it.
I thought that nothing can scares a Honey Badger but the Warthog can!!!
@phosphorescent wave
Plus they’re tough too, very dangerous animal to hunt for humans, she’s got no thing to be ashamed off, that’s a tough animal too👊
When a Hyena backs down from a small animal like that, it means the Honey Badger is the real deal.
Bizoton Boy; and it always goes for the private parts 😁
Now I understand why honey honey badgers🦡 are so badass animals... because their parents abandoned them when they are still young..
My favorite nature short-film of all time :)
wow, did you see that warthog come out from under the ground, like a torpedo...
Wtf!! 😜😜😜
Torpedo? What are you Vietnam?
When your little sister is pushing you out of her room
When you got lions that will drag you out of your hole you have got to act like that!

"When a honey badger is young, his parents abandon him" this is exactly what should happen to EVERY spoiled American teenager! 😂😂😂

TAKIZAWAYAMASHITA ...Honey badger young follow their mothers for like two years you know.
TAKIZAWAYAMASHITA
You mean the Honey Badger wins by not worrying about marriage? Because when they "marry" in the US, they loose all the time. Have you ever heard of divorce?
Most of the time it's "break up", not even divorce.
Well we found the honey badger tamer.. The wart hog.. Amazing!
The honey badger is such a fearless sucker.
Warthog" I'll show im just as tough as you honey badger" 😭😂😭😂😭😂😭😭
this is the craziest vid I've seen in ah while, didnt kno animals team up like this, smart ass bird I swear
Iotube
Do u still upload videos
1:52 honey badger doing what hyenas, do attack from the rear and bite their privates. hyena doesn't need this and runs off.
Apparently Honey Badgers stay with their mother for two years
I’ve seen similar in the Everglades where a large bird would fly over an lurking alligator and make a sound which had to be in bird talk “ALLIGATOR!!!”
I got to appreciate and respect this unique creature on earth. I would believe this animal could survive under any circumstances on the planet.
I don't think it would do well around deep sea vents.
Love the fake flying birds...lol
I love recommendations sometimes
This is what I want to see
Gaming with Denseh www websaéd ex Yves Nkunda
haha, the stuffed bird made my day.
the bird and the honey badger team work for the food is amazing.
I love how the badger gets knocked around by a warthog and doesnt even care
that fake bird they annoyed the honeybadger with was so badly made its hilarious.
Video is as old as Mother Earth..

LOL!!!!
So are you!
momthegreatest agree the man who narrated seems like from 1890 lol
And before you know it , your comment will be the age like the mother Earth 🌎
Awwh.i wish this video was longer..honey badgers are awesomely cool
The narrator here is the same one who did the mock-narration in the movie The Gods Must Be Crazy. It really takes me back.
Wow how a bird help honey badger to give him honey❤️
i dont know why.. i love the backsound and the reporter sound .. 🧡😁
these badgers are vicious if you piss them off but what an awesome creature ✌👍
What a funny world...
Bird has a smart brain on it's head
while some people got shit...
I'm surprised not more sports teams are named "The Honey Badgers".
That was something how the badger left it a portion, pretty smart actually.
this is better than a children's story haha i love it
Wow nature is just too incredible.
獲物に夢中になってひっくり返ったり転げ落ちたり、動きが若干鈍臭くて可愛いな
Batman of animal kingdom. Absolutely no fucks
Bird guides badger to the bee hive..
I cant believe that..
What a coexistence??????

Honeybadger acting like true addict.
most interesting video I saw today.
this honey badger is funny, he doesn't seem to be as hard as the other ones i've seen lol

The wisdom of the creator is amazing! All glory to God.
Sounds like "Leave It To Beaver" music and voice over ...
I remember watching this too long time ago.cool.
Nice editing. Cut off too soon.
Go buy it. Don't be a freeloader
The badger doesn't wanna eat the cameraman cuz he wanna send a message to the world :" I don't give a fuck!"
He gets stung by bees again again and again but you know what? Honey Badger just dont give a shit.
So these guys are tough right out of the chute. Their parents abandon them early.
lol smart bird that attitude is really win
Honey bazaar vs haina.what a great footage.thanks sir.
If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough.
It's like a bloody disney movie dude
Well that explains a lot. I didn't know Badger moms just ditch them as little ones. Like people who's mom abandon or abuse them they turn into a psychopath and try eat anything that moves face.
I have seen other documentaries where they say that honeybadger stay with their parents until ready to fend.themself almost adulthood
Honey badgers stay with their parents until 2 years old.
The guys voice sounds like someone from the 1950's
Didn’t I see this film when I was in the 3rd grade in 1963?
it does...animals are far more honest about these things than humans
WTF did I learn today.. this is incredible..
I hope you all know this was staged, from the paper bird to the friendly hyena. The only true part was the badger getting stung.
Yea
There exists a symbiotic relationship between the Honey Badger and a "small bird?"
"Fascinating, Captain," Spock would indubitably while staring down some green screen portal on the bridge of the Starship Enterprise, exclaim to Kirk.
T'anks for posting this, woodsteven5.
Thats the only time ive seen a honey badger give a shit. Him getting stung on the nose was awesome!
Honey badger got brutally attacked by warthog. And didnt even have a scratch crazy
I hope that bird will be my teammate in my final project
Honey Badgers 🦡 are the BEST.
Maybe for the hyena it was the first time it saw a badger, many animals act like this, Dogs for example.
0:55-Thought they feared nothing
its still a young one
Honey badger is a total gangster
This sounds like the gods must be crazy
Nashane kelly That was a funny movie 🤪
That wild boar almost got him 😂
There tough too!
Why so cute?! 😁☺️
Badger survived a boar attack, fucking awesome
Honey Badger rocks! All shocks!
Wow! those are killer bees!
I guess the warthog didn't get the message about the honey badger being the most feared creature etc.
Honey badger is the most funny animal
And those are African Bees!
All lifeforms on the planet, no matter what the size are all as lucid and as conscious as we are. We think we are so superior, but we're not.
Disney showing us the "truth" about nature.
Way back when they produced this crap, they couldn't have known the honey badger is one of the smartest creatures on earh
I can't quite put my finger on it, but something's a little fishy about that bird...
Honey Badger. The Wolverine of Africa.
Warthog scares honey badger 😂
regardless of this being a staged incident, the honey guide bird actually does exist and has been filmed doing the same thing with honey badgers, humans, and other various animals...
There is actually a bird species that lures bears and badgers to beehives, and it gets the beeswax as its share..
