      Red flag yes but I work in a multinational company with IT departments in India. They sometimes change their names to American/British friendly names since their names are long and hard to pronounce. I built a working relationship with one of the guys and he told he did not legally changed his name but for the company he was Joe Johnson. But his actual name was Pasumati with a really long last name I can't recall. Fun fact their last names are long because when they marry last names get combined.

    • @davidt8087
      @davidt8087 ปีที่แล้ว

      The ENTIRE reason for scams and suicides is A.) Americans are gullible, stoOPid, ignorant, unaware, fools who think they're the BEST which makes them think they're ahead of EVERYONE and so no longer strive to better themselves intellectually, or emotionally, etc, and their awareness is incredibly long. B. Most people are DESPERATE to be liked or get positive attention, friends, compliments, and want to trust everyone or at least most people, so they feel good. That's why if a scammer calls they open up COMPLETELY, in hopes of likes or attention and to make a friend. And C. Capitalism. Capitalism is the reason life is like this for most people, and scammers expose how the system of capitalism is awful and will ALWAYS create scammers, cheaters, liars, greedy people and even friends/family/coworkers BETRAYING, and BACKSTABBING each other for some paper, something NO ONE would do without capitalism.
      And lastly, that crying lady. She's so fkn dumb. Shes so gullible and easily fooled. Heck when the guy called her to warn her, she went from trusting the scammer to trusting the Warner. Doesn't matter if the Warner was a good Samaritan, she didn't learn chit because she can't. Most people are too afraid to be rude or suspicious and rather trust and open up to appear "normal" to others and make friends. So I don't sympathize AT ALL with peolle who kill themselves after being scammed. You know why? Because in the early 2000s I remember trying to sell a PS2, and I was only 14, and I got hit with a message offering to buy my PS2 for $500 with a check (waaay past the price of what it should have been), and, even THEN, having never encountered scams before, I KNEW it was a scam. And sure enough I was right. I have NEVER fallen for a scam since I was young, because I'm not concerned with what others think about me and I actually understand LOGIC. But most people, are too fkn R3TARD3D. The social security victims especially. Look at them "omg plz gubbament daddy. Plz don't send me jail. I've been good conformist copy cat drone slave, I've followed every law and done my best to be a good drone, plz gubbament God daddy plz, don't send me jail, where the CRIMINALS AND EVIL PEOPLE AND LOSER GO, don't make me one of them gubbament God daddy plz, plz I'll do anything, here, here's $100,000 plz don't send me jail". And after they get scammed and you inform them they got scammed, some will deny it, because they still think the person telling them they got scammed is lying because he's jealous and wants them to go to jail so they can enjoy watching them suffer and lose everything. Yea long post but I Dont care. If you're fkn 40-80 years old and too fkn R3TARD3D to figure out a scam through common sense and simple instinct and or intuition, you DRSERVE TO LOSE EVERY PENNY, EVEN YOUR LIFE

    Just subscribed. I'm 41 and have been in IT for 20ish years. I have seen scam after scam and watched them evolve. I do my part as best as I can every time. For a anyone that doesnt know the phishing scams are usually done from a hijacked mail server from another domain. When an employee gets one of these emails I spend a little time locating that hijacked server. From there I'll find contact info for an executive or a CIO if possible and relay the info. The biggest issue that I see is that most of these hijacked mail servers are from smaller companies that dont have the resources for adequate security andtor IT professionals.
    My first experience with this was from the early 2000's. I received an email that looked like it was from ebay. When I clicked the link the page looked like Ebay's page, but the the address was slightly off. They were asking me to verify cc info. I went back to the email and the headers lead me to a website called wheelremote.com. it was a private page for wheel of fortune employees to login and see collaboration. I contacted the number from the page. The guy seemed a little surprised at what I was telling him. He called me back an hour later and told me that they had an old mail server that wasn't being used, but was still active. Their staff checked the server and found that someone had taken control of it and was using it to send the phishing emails. He asked for my address and sent me a whole box of wheel of fortune swag like shirts, keychains, cups, etc.
    Many wont go out of their way like that, but I try to do a little good if i can. 5 minutes of my time will likely save a lot of people from these devils. I am glad that there are others out there trying to combat this on their own with youtube. I feel like our government needs to address this with the Indian government and force them to go after these people. After all, they are arrogantly impersonating the US government to defend people.

Thought about trying to get some security certs and attack that side of the field. I've been on the fence with that and robotics/automation. If course security is huge there also because you wouldnt want some someone taking control of an operation that utilizes automation. Good luck with everything!

    Hey man I've been involved in scamming and even scamming the scammers for almost 10 years now. I'm so tired of doing it and want to make a change in my life. This series has bought me to tears. If you have any legit work for me to do man I'll do it. Good honest work that u can feed my family and not look over my shoulder. Thanks

      I am poor. I would rather be homeless than morally disgusting. Patience, pray, and temporary low pay, education in some skill will eventually lead to surviving without having to be a criminal. If anyone does this for a living is a poor excuse for a human. Digging ditches is better. Where is your pride? Find yourself a job. Talk for yourself, no need to ask someone to help you find a job so you can stop scamming. If you can scam, then you can scam someone into hiring you to do legitimate work. You are a sorry piss of sht and want things handed to you. Get off your butt.

      Just keep it up and eventually you will learn the hard way while in prison. You are not that stupid are you? Oh yeah thats right, many are in prison for stupid decisions they made.

    This guy truly feels bad and you can hear it in his voice. Im proud of him for getting awareness out on the shit going on.

      Yeah the voice actor really captured that emotion. Im pretty sure that was probably a voice actor. He said he could not make phone calls on his cell phone he could only send messages probably only over wifi. Im guessing he uses a cheap smart phone for its ability to connect to the internet and thats how he sends messages. Its possible that the only access he has to a working phone is at his job and i don't think he would be outing everybody right in front of them because im sure that would, at the very least, cost him his job.

    Wow... Hearing that woman who was about to be scammed really hit me hard. I’m so happy that there are heroes out there that are willing to spend money to protect these people. I think “Devan” should create a crowdfund to help support his efforts. Devan you are an amazing human being. Saving a mother and her life savings is the work of a saint!

    I love how you gave him a fake name and that there was an arrest warrant out for that person.
