@@camperp195 I'm not sure Castrol R was used in 2 strokes as it is a vegetable-based oil not suitable for 2 strokes unless as a petroil mix and not sure this would be the case as it can gum rings up though I'm only too happy to be corrected, that said there is a synthetic oil available today that has that beautiful aroma.
@@nightster6378 i used it as a petrol mix on all 5 of my elsies,due to the fact i always had issues with oil pumps failing or the cable snapping,always carried a plastic bottle of it strapped to the grab rail,didnt have any issues with gummed rings either,maybe i was runnng them too lean back in the day 🤷♀️

Today I have a few 2 strokes a 750 H2B, GT750J, RD400, TS250, YAS1, and a few more British and Italian. A few years back I contacted Castrol's Historical Vehicles guy as I was considering using synthetics in the gearbox's and would it be fine to run them on synthetic 2 stroke oil. His recommendation was not to especially in the gearbox as it could cause clutch slip, especially on the 750s and could probably leak past seals even though I had just rebuilt the engine. I asked him of 2 stroke oil some company produces that smells like Castrol R, he didn't know, I suggested putting some in the tank and he said back in the day some people did do this but recommended not to as it would gum the piston rings and slides in the carburettor and with the absence of a non-throttle return cable on these bikes this could become an issue should a slide stick during deceleration. He is also a biker and rides an FJ1200 and a few others. Saying this I am not doubting you using it.
Ohh that sound, that sweet sweet sound that only comes from a 2 stroke caning it on a hot summer's afternoon leaving that distinctive smell of 2 stroke rising up through the air. 🏍️
Beautifully kept machine and them expansion chambers are some of the best I've heard sounds so wonderfully crisp but sounded like it still had a bit more to come 👍💯👌

I had another mate who got one of those, thinking it would be like the RD! Oh dear, talk about disapointment.
Power is 62 HP. Now for torque you shouldn't expect too much from a small 2T engine and that's why they didn't even bother to mention. By the way, the RD350 was made for speed and not for hill climbing. 😉
@@Big1_ Te lo repito, en velocidád máxima, que és donde mandan los CV, sí se nota. Yo compré una bandit 400 nueva, modelo 91, en 1992, y en llano no sobrepasaba los 190 de velocímetro. Sin embargo, con la RD de 60 CV de mi amigo alcancé los 205 de velocímetro, eso sí, versión carenada.
@@zach5994 RDs have autolub so it won't as the oil pump stops with the engine. Different on a primix racing bike like TZs or YZs On them you run a very rich pilot jet to prevent it sizing up on closed throttle.
@@xlife6255 the 31K usually produces ( stock without the catalytic converters in the factory pipes ) between 40-44bhp on the rear wheel and between 59-63bhp on the crank depending on what part of the world you live in...
