The Vector in the parking lot was parked right next to one of the oddest and ahead of its time cars from the 90s, the Subaru SVX. Such a good car that most people don't even know exists.
The SVX was lacking in power though….

Everytime I think I want an Autoziem or other Kei Car, I think of those mall crawlers driven by people that can't be bothered to pay attention. A Miata honestly feels to small and exposed, and those things are smaller.
Might as well just accept my fate and get the LM002

5:34, not to mention this thing competed in the baja 1000 in 1997 and partnered with team geolander won the baja. They also made a 1999 Ironman edition to contribute to the Ironman contest but most owners removed some of the decals.

The only one that I haven’t seen (Lamborghini, Cosmo, ‘Zed’1, Previa) or heard of (Lister, that Badass MF 5, Vector, Citroen, Spyker) was that Karlsmann King. Side note ... the Vector W8 was in my Dream Garage... but that was replaced by the Spyker years ago! Wow! Thanks for the well thought out list. It was a good one! Thanks.

The Vector is the quintessential late 80s early 90s supercar. None of the other cars on this list even come close to this peak in automotive styling, build materials, nor rarity.

Seen one of those Vehicrosses in Auburn Washington, looks just as cool and unique in person. Our first family minivan was a Toyota Previa! Don’t see to many of these in the PNW.

Heard of all of them except the Sera (although it looked familiar) and the Toyota Van (although I've seen the body type, but not the supercharged AWD package). But it was fun to see how much money they command on the market today.

I have a '94 Sera here in the states in that awesome 90's teal color. What was once someone's daily commuter in Japan has become my weekend carshow car. It is very cool and so many folks can't believe Toyota made something that crazy back then. (It was also the first to have projector headlights). The doors, while the best feature also make getting in and out a bit of a pain in the ass for a bigger guy. Definitely a must grab if you like the old JDM stuff. Right hand drive and I have a post-it on the radio for speed because the dash is all in km, lol.

Love the style of the Isuzu. Looks like a vehicle that came out last year not so far back. I remember seeing one in the movie Mission To Mars, Gary Sinese's character drove a convertible version that was kindof cool

Bufori is also an obscure car manufacturer imo. Their cars inspired by 1930's classic design equipped with modern technology and luxury. It's a brand owned by Australian-Lebanese brothers Anthony, George and Gerry Khouri which later the company were registered as Bufori Motor Company Private Limited (M) which is now based on Malaysia.
Did anyone notice the vector w8 looks SUPER similar to the Quadra v-tech form cyberpunk 2077?!

The Karlman and the Wiesmann were the only ones I didn't know. The Autozam is a claustrophobic nightmare for anybody over 6'.

The title car AZ-1 is so cool... is like a geo metro with a Nissan pulsar nx rear end.with gullwing door.. hard to get but worth it if u get one.. that tshirt...killer.. the isuzu amigo was the usa version.. I'd love that better the a jeep.

I saw a Toyota sera in northern Virginia a few years ago . I took a picture of it while I was driving, so I couldn’t read the name on the back. It took me about a week of searching the internet to figure out what it was.
It would be a very long list to add what you missed, a few examples would be: Donkervoort D8 gto, Talbot Matra, Ginetta, Midas, Venturi, Isdera (imperator, commendatore, Spyder), or some cars tuners decided to develop like the Treser TR1, Zender fact 4…..
Also from the Netherlands the DAF variomatic with the first practical CVT which could drive as fast in reverse as it could forward (you can even find clips racing them in reverse).
One to look at is the Bowler Wildcat, a racing rebuild of a Land Rover.

Where was the Studebaker Avanti? Never mind the Studebaker Avanti, what about the Avanti Studebaker XUV? Avanti Motor Corporation's final roll of the dice was a gargantuan Extreme Utility based on Ford Excursion mechanicals with minivan style rear passenger doors and a tailgate updated from the original Studebaker Wagonaire design. A couple of prototypes were built for the show circuit, but.....
Another overlooked performance utility was the SAAB 9-2X, basically a SAABaru based on the Subaru WRX with an interior by IKEA.
Or the SAAB Sonett (no,that's not a misspelling) series. There were three models, the original from the late fifties, The Sonett II (including a V4 version) from the late '60s, and finally the Sonett III. These were based on the 1947 Ur-SAAB architecture including a freewheeling transmission, but with a fiberglass body.
