Hi Andy, I bought my W824 on the 29/11/2019 and the same thing has happened to the Lathe. I returned to supplier (Tool Fix) who contacted Charnwood and are sending a new unit. This must be a quality control problem. Thanks for the video.
Sounds like there was a bad batch! Odd that we both got the same lathe around the same time and both have had the same issue! Mine has been perfect since I replaced the module though, so I'm happy out now! Good luck with your installation, it's really easy to do! Thanks for watching!
@@andy.elliott.foreverpens Hi Andy. I called back to Toolfix last Saturday (1/2/20) to collect my repaired W824 and I found out the Charnwood had replaced my Lathe for a new one. Congratulations to Toolfix.ie and Charnwood.net for 100% EXCELLENT Customer service. I hope this Variable Speed Controller unit lasts longer this time !!

i have the same problem my new one is on its way as i type, you would think they would have sorted the problem out by now?
