This is fantastic. I recently started semi-making CC (which is to say, frankensteining textures like mad), and I always feel like I'm just making it up as I go. It's good to know even someone who has made as much as you have goes through that process of 'test-no-test-maybe-test-wait no go back' lol. Thank you for posting this. I feel a little more prepared now! :3
@@xandamonium Yeah even when I have a specific vision I still do a lot of back and forth because then it doesn't look like I imagined etc. I often redo/update my textures and especially my swatches during the process because my brain was in a different place when I made it....in a worse place and then when I look back on it it is UGLY.
It was awesome to see the dull texture turn into something utterly gorgeous! 😍😍 So pretty, so detailed!! And I feel you on going with the flow! I never have a certain plan I just try a bunch of stuff until I like something enough to go with. 😅 And yeah, same with Blender, I've been using the old version and I heard the new one is soooo different, so I am afraid to upgrade, I think it would hinder my progress and the way I make things. So idk what to do...
Thank you!! And same it's just trial and error all the way. The new version is VERY different, I'm thinking of reinstalling the old one, the UI is much simpler. Everything is different it's like an entirely new program tbh. The vertices also look strange when you make the mesh transparent to see everything. It's a no from me. Merging and edgespliting hell even uv editing is simpler in the old version. None of the important shortcut keys work in the new 😭
Wow! That looks awesome! Although I don't make any cc for TS4, I used to recolor some clothes in TS2 😂 How long did it take for you to make the whole piece from 3d modelling to the finished garment?
Omg sorry I totally skipped the question in my mind. Well, it isn't finished yet. But modelling technically didn't take that long since I used parts from old/other meshes so meshing took 5ish hours. Texture took 2-4 I think. I don't time any of it. I just do it.

@@zeussim9334 Omg it sounds even worse than I imagined!! I just hope sims4studio will keep supporting meshes made in the old version. 😩😩
This is so impressive 🎉
Thank you 🥺
