@@CLIFFLIX ooh maybe you could film just the castle with the fireworks so I can projection map them onto my model. Also if you see Wondrous Journeys please film the It’s a Small World facade. I need videos to map onto my other model of that. So far your videos are spectacular and they are stationary which helps a lot.
CLIFF!!! When we watched the live Harmonious my family said “Well, that was nice but did you see what our boy Cliff did for the mortars?!?!” You are brilliant buddy!!!
Yup, that's like the initial testing of the show in 2017. Behind the scene of HEA video shows the finale like this one, but pretty different regarding the lasers.
I think they added this because of the new Main Street projections. It sort of “brings the colour changes down Main Street”. So the three projected areas feel more connected and looks better overall from Main Street.
Unfortunately these new laser effects in the final part of the show that changed according to the projections were eliminated and now only the final part has lasers in the minutes 17:58 , 18:09 , 18:12
I love how you included the debut, pre-Covid, post-Covid (homecoming ever after) and post-50th shows. They are really different when you compare them and you can see that the show has been cut in terms of the number of fireworks but the 2023 show really brought back the best version (2017 debut show) and added the fantastic Main Street projections!
We saw Happily Ever After on our first visit to Disney World in 2019 for our honeymoon. We fell in love with it right away and was sad when it wasn't around on our 2 visits in 2022 but so glad it is back.
The shows are different more than most realize. Just depends on if the different elements are working. The show can be different night to night. It literally has nothing to do with who’s in charge. Perfect example. For a small short few days there were red smileys at the end. Then they stopped. I’m there quite frequently for the shows and they are not the same!!!!
@@xopherwhit true but let’s not lie I live near Disney and watch the fireworks from time to time they have gotten so much smaller in 2021 and there are less of them and let’s not forget the lasers and spotlights that weren’t fully operational
Lasers and lighting are fairly inexpensive to operate. It depends on whether they are operational or not. I've never seen happily ever after done without lighting. Lasers are a different story. I'm not sure about magic kingdom, but Epcot needs some kind of approval since their lasers don't shoot horizontally (they could interfere with aircraft). Lighting is beautiful when it works, but the amount of moving parts inside of a moving light, mixed with the fact that they have ~32 behind the castle alone, means that they have to complete routine maintenance all the time. There are also pyro concerns, since there need to be safe working conditions for cast members to load the pyro. As these shows become more and more technologically advanced and keep gaining more elements, they become harder to run, meaning it is almost special to see a show running with 100% of the effects (think harmonious lasers, or the harmonious finale around the lagoon). I'm also willing to bet they either got new lasers for enchantment, OR they cut the lasers from the '21 return if HEA to advertise enchantment as a new show with new lasers
The xenon skylight is missing in 2023 Although they change the programming tried to fill the gap but those 7kW skylight can really build the theme of each scene, hope they can add it back soon
Hi! Could some kind soul do a comparison video of the following Epcot fireworks tags: - New Year's Eve tags (2018-2019 vs. 2019-2020 vs. 2022-2023) - 4th of July tags (2018 vs. 2022) Would want to see the usage of the fireworks and the barges (Earth Globe and fountains vs. Harmonious barges) I haven't seen anyone do a video, comparing those special holiday tags in Epcot.
I don’t know if they’ve done a direct comparison, but Martin’sVids and Clifflix are 2 of the best WDW fireworks shows/WDW historical footage You Tubers there are.
So this is real cool not gonna lie but just as a note it's worth noting that the DIS's 2017 isn't actually fully accurate to what watching in 2017 is like. I was there both on that night (the first night of its debut) and a couple of weeks later to watch it and some fireworks from the first show didn't actually carry over even within 2017.
It usually happens throughout the first few months/years since they usually tweak them more. Magic Kingdom may have it's own reasons but for Asian parks it's usually due to pollution control, budget adjustments, or just general QOL changes. Just like how some of TDL's Celebrate! Tokyo Disneyland pyros were reduced and re-arranged for better projection visibility since there was too much pyro all at once in that last segment, how HKDL's Momentous went through different versions of the show due to reduction and temporary change of pyro supplier, and SHDL's Ignite the Dream added flame towers towards the end of 2016, reduction of fireworks due to budget and/or pollution, re-arrangement and new pyros.
For comparison of Disney Dreams at Disneyland Paris between 2013 and 2023, see here.

Will you re-record the show? In 4k and get projections in mainstreet ad well?
@@thewiz2003 Yep!...in 8k with street projections. :-)
