Heres a simple explanation I used when teaching, reset during recoil. Done.

Wow, couple of real professionals there. I would like to know what the class class consists of, is it a beginners or advanced class?

Thanks for sharing. Lots of truth in this video. I must have had the same academy instructor.

Let's see if I understand--I just fired a live round in a public place. I don't have my sights on target yet, I may not have even found my next target, but I should release the trigger, then take up all the slack, then put pressure on the trigger as I move the loaded gun across a room full of people toward my next target. Correct? Pass. Thanks anyway.

You are looking for multiple targets in a public place? Why? Perhaps your lack of intelligence is compounded by your tactical fantasies. Also sounds like you should be on a FBI watchlist.

Pinning the trigger is probably the single most common training scar in the LE firearms training world! A true model of inefficiency!!
A concept I’ve tried to drill into shooters is that:
Accuracy is found in the movement of the trigger to the rear / ignition.
Efficiency is in the immediate and unhesitating movement of the trigger forward to reset.
Every fraction of a second saved through efficiency is time you now have to spend on accuracy.
The devil is in the details. And details matter!

It's a fallacy to assume that everyone who rides the reset sits there waiting for the click and slows them down. What happens is in the beginnings of being trained in trigger control, the shooter learns that click/reset and resumes a new trigger press (which of course reduces movement and gets you that smaller group). As the shooter trains to that end, they've begun to stop relying on the reset, they've stopped 'waiting' for it, and they're doing what you're teaching. Best of both worlds; added accuracy through less finger movement AND once the 'wait' for the reset is trained away, they're doing it as they should...waiting for sights on target to press.

You're just flat out wrong. If someone does not train to do anything besides pin to the rear and ride, they are arbitrarily slow.

IMO, pinning and resetting the trigger is an exercise. As an exercise it is used to teach specific things...it's not meant to be how you fire all the time.

Why would you sick your gun in your pants pointed directly at your Junk? Seriously how stupid is that? 2:24

For the same reason why you know nothing about concealing guns yet you decide to post on the internet.

Because it’s a more Efficient way to carry a firearm.
Anywhere you carry, you flag yourself. There are videos explaining this.....

In AIWB,, the muzzle sits in the open space between your "business" and your leg, not directly over the top of your dingo.

I would have to disagree, I've been resetting for years. Once the habit is formed, its muscle memory and extremely efficient. Sounds like you are encouraging your students to slap the trigger, full pull everytime. That is not efficiency. That's a recipe for low left.

I pinned for years and it still negatively affects me. Hard pass.

Being lazy doesn't mean it's an effective technique. Its taught everywhere else to reset the trigger. This isnt innovation, its stupidity and laziness.

Proper techniques dont negatively effect you. That's just ignorant.

After taking advanced pistol training with the Fed's, I can honestly say I struggled with this issue. I pinned amd reset for years, but it is legitimately a poor technique. It is really slower and less consistent especially under timed or stress shooting.
