@@iridios6127 it has nothing to do with the strjngs. The wood is part of the sound of that guitar and he fucked it up. That's why you use the correct paint to paint a guitar. Spray paint isn't it.

Don't get me wrong, the end result looks good, and it's good on the video creator to pay handsomely for a job decently done. But let's be real here: I give spray painting classes to school kids in the holidays. I would estimate that almost all of them would be able to do this after about one afternoon of instruction - in fact, I don't HAVE TO estimate. We did this exact thing in a workshop last year (just on canvas instead of guitars) and almost all the kids produced results very comparable to this. They also would've known how *not* to damage the guitar with the burner at the end and how not to stain its underside and back. I love space painting. I used to do this a lot in high school (I’m 34). With that skill and precision, this guy is just “playing” in this video. Give him a bigger canvas and more time and it’ll bring you tears what this guy can create. I kid you not. I understand this guy’s talent and it made my eyes water just a bit to know he is capable of so much more. Bravo.
I would’ve pay him whatever he charge me to do that job to my Takamine AND give him an extra $100 dollars tip just for his talent. This guy is AMAZING!!

But the upper frets are rendered pretty unusable by the paint, which could have been solved very easily
Yep… that guy is not a guitarist and it sounds like it has not been played for a while. Probably just picked it up from a charity shop for a tenner. Still sad though. Im sure many, many guitars have been subjected to far worse, and at least it looks cool!

This is kind of leaders the world need - the leaders who don't need any artificial power, because they enjoy to create. And so do they inspire others to create and co-create too.
Amazing,to bad the strings weren't removed first, the neck should have been covered and the sound hole should have been plugged with something.The art work was great!
Strings can be replaced hole can be tapped and painted in with black fret can be painted and sanded by owner as well as sides where as artwork that was just applied not so easy,❤

70s - and the entire space trend should have stopped in the 70s. I'm sure it wasn't a great guitar to begin with, but the old tired planet graphics, the overspray on key parts of the instrument has altered its value by .5 If it was a $22 dollar box - it's now $11.

Awesome skill but just think if you have given him the guitar pre-masked off. The overspray on the neck, bridge, rosette and sides bring it down a few notches. Still, a wall hanger for sure.
Exactly what I was thinking. As a player, I was cringing a bit when he was painting the frets and whatnot. I would have prepped it and taken off the strings.

So if he did paint Lisa, it would still have involved blocking and directing with full or partial form masking and some scraping for details. In any case, I doubt one get to that level just doing one particular sort of scenery. Even if Bob Ross videos may lead one to that assumption. 😅
