    If differ had better stamina, he had 70% chance to snag the champion throne too in 2012, either way mounir and him are one of the best out there, both are champions.

    Differ was very original, it's good to see new bboys come in with something fresh. Roxrite was old-solid though too. Peace.

    Personally, I thought Roxrite was better than Differ. But, in hindsight, Roxrite was slowing down compared to when he battled Arex. The commentary said he did have a back injury so that might have affect the voting.

      Roxrite was out of rhythm and had all his old moves on. Differ was fresh and original. Not everyday Roxrite. :)

      I know this comment is like mega old and I don't know if you'll see this but Cloud faced Differ in 2009 and it's pretty similar, I'd say they probably looked up to each other a lot after that

    When you understand Roxrite's style from a bboy's perspective, it's pretty hard to not give props, but, that said, I can see why the judges mainly went with Differ. He looked loose, had some mad flow, really leaving some highlights with his tricks. Rox was cool in the heat, but he did look a little strained compared to last year, and he didn't address a few freezes like he usually does. Mad respect to both though. Good battle.

    good judging by taisuke. roxrite got the first and third round just by watching it once although safe but he got it. 3rd round of differ is so cloud back in 2009 duh.lol

  • @doggieGZ
    @doggieGZ 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Also Roxrite was kind of repetitive. In his first set he does a lot of the same halo freezes as his 3rd set. And in his second set he does the same elbow freeze twice.

    Bboying is not just about being "foundationally" correct but about dynamics, flows, interruptions, breaks, and transitions of ideas. The clearer and more fortified execution of these ideas wins. Roxrite is really great, but Differ won this fair and square.

    The crowds don't always pick for the one who gets cheered for more - prime example Issei vs. Victor. Issei definitely won over the crowd more. I say Differ won because even though he didn't show certain levels on the foundations, he still maintained musicality with huge dynamic moves, whilst Roxrite did this with footwork/freezes/stacks. He played it too safe. Differ took risks, and it paid off. That's what I think, anyways.

  • @Neptunn69
    @Neptunn69 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Like rox's 1st set but next sets were repetitive and boring he tried to safe his moves. Differ has musicality with crazy original moves all sets. Last year in Moscow Rox win clearly 100% all rounds, but in Rio he looks tired. And judges like Neguin Niek Moy know better who wins battle than internet bboys or fans of roxrite .

  • @riftorsill
    @riftorsill 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    song?

  • @maxinmaniac
    @maxinmaniac 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Differ copied one of cloud's moves at 2:25 from the 09 redbull bc one against Neguin.

  • @buzoooka94
    @buzoooka94 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I don't think dynamic and freezes can win against a full packaged bboy like Rox. The problem is always been the same, the crowds are cheering for those who have flashy moves. And the judges pick which bboy that's get cheered. RBBC1 - 2012 is the worst part throughout the whole RBBC1 series.
    Differ might killed it, but I don't think Differ should've won. He lacks foundation and few more elements. It's just my opinion. Just tell me what's up and let's talk. I don't wanna argue and shit. Peace ;)
