The last time I walked to Elland Road must have been late 70s/early 80s. Got a bus to the Evening Post building, then walked up over all the roadworks for the new flyover. I moved away and came back in 2000 and found Leeds had changed so much. And now I'm old and knackered I drive to ER on matchday!

Ha ha it is amazing how much Leeds has changed in recent years - particularly with the developments just south of the Aire - I'm glad you've still managed to keep visiting Elland Road though :)
Thank you so much for watching - I hope you enjoyed the video!

My first Leeds game at Elland Rd was in 1971 , caught the train alot from Hull and walked from the station many a time. Back then loads and loads of houses were been demolished so I walked on wasteland , rubble and hills, not to many roads to cross either.. 😉

I remember that bus stop right at the beginning of the walk. Left my cap in the bus, and had to run back to get it. I was changing buses to get from originally Manchester, to York. I wanted to take the train, but it was Sunday, and limited service. Thanks for stirring memories.

Watching you walk through Holbeck Moor park brings back memories, just before you get to the underpass is where away fans would jumped or hooligans would clash (if you follow that route it takes you to the estate). Even today that estate is still not very nice but I'm very happy to see the city of Leeds developing and hopefully these areas can improve. Great video mate.

Out of the station, straight over the road to some steps, go down and you come out opposite the scabby arms.

I normally go a left out the station down Whitehall road then take the footpath that roughly follows the a643, takes you out at the lowfields road tunnel

A friendly walk for any away fan. Always guaranteed to bump into groups of Leeds fans that will always oblige when it comes to playful banter.

It’s quicker if you walk past temple mills then through Holbeck and through south bank then turn right at Beeston down Elland road

Do anything you want now, Football violence is gone, just a few whoppers prancing around in Stone Island jackets thinking thats all it took!!! In the 80s its was slightly different believe me!! Had a massive escort back then, horses, vans, dogs the lot!! Youd have all the Saturday shoppers gorping at you!! You still had to have your wits about you in the escort especially in Liverpool and that walk down Scotland Rd!!
