The hollow pins are called roll pins. They make roll pin punches that minimize the chance of messing it up. I always like to justify a reason to buy a new tool. Tha ks for the video
How much wear should show on the tip of the extractors? Mine shows uneven wear between the two on the bottom of each extractor. The charge handle side shows triple the amount of wear as the opposite side. Looks like yours shows just a little wear on the top side. How many rounds do you have through yours at this point? Looks like mine is rubbing on the slot in the barrel that they feed into.
I'm not sure how much wear an exctractor would show over time. Certainly there will be some. I have 3,000+ on the gun this bolt is from and it's working fine. I've never heard yet about a TM owner with worn-out exctractors ... and there's owners with many, many thousands or rounds through. Regardless, I'm sure a set of replacement exctractors would not be expensive.
