This is crazy. I literally did 5 out of 6 steps... and once I got to the smacking, I got my screen to work again. LOL I said, "I'm not about to SMACK my phone around!" But then I said what the heck, desperate times. So, thank you! I saved a ton of dollars at the repair shop and I am also saving this video.
Amazing. I did every step (except the freezer) and it hadn't worked, but tried to give the tapping & slapping another go and it WORKED. My phone had been black for about 5 days, I'd taken it to a repair shop and he recommended just getting rid of it and buying a new one... So I was just about to buy a new phone before doing this and now it works again. Legend, thanks so much!
I dropped my phone right before going to bed with work in the morning, and I use my phone for my alarms. Needless to say when it wouldn't come back on I freaked out. Going through the steps (besides the freezer) made it work again! Thank you!
The "smacking" does it for me! After that I pressed and hold the power button for at least 30 seconds and the screen comes back with boot logo. Thank you very much!!!!!! 😊
I literally got my phone to work on the first step. Thank you so much I was starting to get really heated thinking about the money I wasted on this POS. but mainly because I love this phone. So again thank you very much you saved the day!
While doing these steps I discovered the power button was stuck in. Cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and fine brush. Combination of these steps and the cleaning fixed the issue.
Mine was stuck turning on and off. I went back to my Pixel 3 for about a week. I was going to send mine in to be repaired, and decided on a whim to just smack the sides of the phone to my palm. Amazingly the power cycling just stopped. And the phone sat there off. I walked away excited and came back 15 minutes later, pressed the power button and it booted up. It has now bee running for about 4 days no problems.
Ok, seriously, when he got to tapping, pressing and smacking I thought this was a troll. I did the tapping and pressing, had to walk away while the phone was charging. Came back and held the power button and voila 😮 it powered on. Thank you!
Thank you very much. I just did all your steps, I'm not sure which step worked but this process works, WTF, mindblown. *thinks about old TVs and PC monitors pre 2000 being slapped upside their head when they didn't work* ...probably a different issue...
Bro you're a genius. the smack technique for whatever reason worked. I had a pixelated background and what looked like two sets of pinstripes. Unresponsive screen. At first smacking it got me to the google logo but then it froze there. Restarted it again and voila we're back. Was weird because I took off the case and the screen came back for a second it then went back to the pixelated screen with pinstripes. I'm guessing I had it in my back pocket, sat on it, and something must have become dislodged.
Thanks! I dropped my phone, screen went blank and would not start. The method that worked for me was the firm pressing all around the phone. Now I am up and running again.
Don't put any phone in the freezer, condensation will happen inside and that's not good for electronics and could trip the liquid damage indicator, meaning it would be out of warranty
KODUS Brother, You actually solved my Problem. The tapping method worked for me. My phone isn't even turning on and I assume it's dead but this video turns out to be a life saver❣️
Just like @SynSyn4EvaYoung, you fixed my issue, even though it was different than the video. My Pixel 2 XL was stuck on the log-in screen. Part way through the Google boot-up animation, it would shut off. No looping. Completely off. I use the 2XL as a back-up after I upgraded, and it comes in handy every day. So despite your video is for a different model, and not the same issue, I thought it was worth giving it a try. Especially as every other solution I tried was unsuccessful. Funnily enough, although it kept shutting off, when if finally booted up fully, it showed it had 60% power. Thanks to your suggestion to long hold on the power *while it was plugged in*, it now works again! Thank you very much!!!
GTFO here! I had the question mark battery issue, found your video, did the taps and my dumb ass Pixel 4XL turned on like nothing was wrong! I'm sure this is a temp solution but good enough to backup my data from the phone. Thank you sir.
I was convinced that this video was straight up bullshit ("just tap it"? wtf?), but I can't believe this worked lmao. Thank you so much, you're a lifesaver
Thank you so much!!! The tapping method worked for me! I just tapped around the front facing cameras and the screen came back on!! You saved me from the hassle of paying for a new screen or phone.
Pixel 4XL here on Android 12 / December 5 2021 security update in a dual layer TPU / Polymer case Phone took a fall today from the bathroom counter and hit the tile floor , the phone shut off. No physical damage to the phone /screen and battery was around 80% when it happened. It WOULD NOT turn back on no matter what. Plugged in etc. Only way to get the Google splash screen to briefly flash was to continuously hold the power button, but the second you let it go, the screen would go off. Even holding the power button it would get to the green G boot up and then re-start. Could not boot into safe mode etc. Came across this video and the steps at 3 minutes (Press firmly everywhere - after I had tried the dual finger tap with no luck) - worked. Thanks @WorldofTech for coming out with this video!
@@brandoniserhoff8413 hi, i tried all the method but unfortunately non of the methods worked for me. I had to replace my battery. and its working fine now
I'll be honest I looked up the issue and I didn't think the answer was going to be: beat up your phone with increasing strength. I was solved by step 3.
Dropped my pixel 4XL about 2 months ago and this happened. left it plugged in for 4 hours and turned back on. Dropped it again today and it wouldnt turn on so I tried all these steps and the only thing that worked was slowly adding weight to the phone while stepping on it and it turned on! Subscribed!
Amazing, you´ve saved me. I was looking for a video like this one since one week, and i was about to buy atother phone (not pixel again hahaha) It worked with the freezer method, thnx u so much!!
I have no idea if freezing the phone had this effect or it was just downright badluck, faulty battery but if you start having these issues dont play with the phone. I slipped the back off the phone and the battery hissed, shat out smoke, and blew up (not explode violently or anything but it toasted the phone. scary stuff.
It's funny how this video worked for my phone. I was stuck in bootscreen and my power button and volume down button don't work at all. I just tried tapping and giving pressure on different areas of my screen including the back. Pressed the power button and vol down button for a long time until the both buttons work.
thanks, the second solution worked for me. however, whenever I unplugged my phone it just went back into the boot loop and the other solutions didn't work for me. are there any other methods?
Woww, the smack on the palm option really works.. I was about to smack it on the wall but thank goodness my Pixel 4 came up. Thanks.

YOURE a phone savior my boot loop stopped thanks!
idk which specific method worked but the important part is it works now, thanks so much
My man you are a life saver! My phone was stuck on a crash/restart loop and I couldnt do anything. The slap method worked! Thank you so much!
Wow, the tapping worked for me right away when nothing else I tried did. Thanks!
Freezer after massage technique worked for me.. thank you so much man 🥺🥺😭😭❤❤
Thumb pressing worked for me. Thank you!!
Thanks for these tips. The 2 finger tapping method worked for me. However, the screen came up very dim and I did a restart and now it looks fine.
the tapping and pressing helped for a few days and now my phone is almost unusable again. Shame because it was a hell of a phone when it worked.
Ye, Mine has been unusable for a week and I've tried everything from tutorials to reddit posts,
@@anthonybretchkin6624 did you ever get working again? Idk what I can do. Teardown looks rough.

Never sure if these things will work but it did, fantastic!
My phone kept rebooting over and over again. I am shocked that tapping the phone on the front and backed worked. Thanks so much!!!
Restarting when start vedio ?
I was reading the comments and was like how all of them can be lying ..... and its unbelievable for me that the first step really worked for me..❤❤

Felt like an idiot following every step - especially the Freezer part!! BUT IT WORKED! THANK YOU
I'm on the freezer step. SO hoping this works!
why does it do this? phone is brand new!
