Where to eat Gluten Free in Boston, Massachusetts (GOOD FOOD ONLY)

  • What’s the best restaurant for eating Gluten Free in the Boston area? It's a question I get asked a lot honestly and I'm not sure I have one single answer, but here are some of my favorites out of the places I've been to (as someone who can’t have gluten or dairy... or shellfish).
I try my best here to describe what I ate, what food is good there, the vibe (ahem... aesthetic*), etc. My goal was to make it entertaining for you guyz and include places that are known to be safe for Celiac Disease and Gluten allergies. So if I failed there, I apologize and I will never forgive myself.
Also, I realize I didn't point out gluten free pizza in this video somehow - probably because I was just riffing about my experiences off the dome. But, a few of the places I mention here offer pizza - but being DAIRY free I haven't personally had much notable GF pizza in Boston so it is what it is.
    - BIIIIG shoutout to Sofia, who edited the majority of this video (sofipais on Fiverr) and was just the best to work with

Red coconut curry with rice noodles from Honeygrow in Seaport!! You’ll love it. They just started offering bottles of sauce to bring home and make your own, too. One of my faves going on 6 years (even before I was Gf/Df!!)

Kane's has a drive through on rt 1 in Saugus... Their original location , also in Saugus, was fashioned into a gluten free bakery and it's where they make all their gf donuts. Their website does an amazing job explaining the process.

We went to Boston for my brothers birthday a few years ago. He picked most of the restaurants, of course, and said he paid attention before, but he didnt. So we split up for a few meals and Legal was so good we picked it every time to try everything. Even ate breakfast at the airport on the way out.

Please try CRAVE in Beverly! Great breakfast sandwiches, GF cheese herbed bread is fantastic (you can’t do the cheese but they do bowls) you have to get the GF tater tots, the best ever. GF cupcakes and a wonderful lemon blueberry scone! Try the signature CRAVE sandwich!!

I wish I had this video three years ago. Such a great list - all great places! Gotta try Alden & Harlow in Harvard square. Similar to Barcelona bar they mark up the menu and the majority can be made GF. They had a marked up menu ready for me when I got there because I asked about GF option when I made the reservation.

“When was the last time you had French toast, it’s been years right” had be LOLing because so very true. But my man, my brotha in GF Christ, you have got to go to the friendly toast and kanes donuts. kanes GF donuts are chefs kiss chefs kiss 10/10 always recommend. The friendly toast was the first GF friendly place I went to for breakfast when I first went GF. Their food is good but their tea is so delicious. I’ve been to half the places you recommended and I agree with your assessments. Excited to have some new places to try!!

haven’t had french toast in forever (10+ years) because i’m also allergic to eggs! i have a friendly toast in my town but i honestly thought it was one of those “gluten friendly” places that don’t actually avoid cross contamination

@@PhilHatesGluten I really like it to remember places and plan trips! Not specifically for GF/DF/food intolerance folks, but good all-around! They do have a gluten-free tag that can be applied to restaurants with GF options, so that's a plus. I'd find cross-reference with Find Me GF, though!

@@PhilHatesGluten I haven't been in a few years but I lived in Cambridge for 7 years and it was my #1 favorite restaurant. They were good with me about my celiac (it's a lot of just meat/rice) but of course call/check to make sure. My faves were chapendaz and mourgh kabab. You really can't go wrong with any dish.
