Even the old games hold well, I see myself playing them again. Not only in terms of visuals, but how they play. They were pretty much ahead of their time.
'Mario 64' and definitely 'Banjo - Kazooie' on the N64 were the ones which were revolutionary in terms of that type of gameplay. 'Ratchet & Clank' on the PS2 kinda took over the recipe and made it a bit more organic. All good games nonetheless!
I love that they listenend to fans about the animations. They really dropped in quality in the ps4 game. Now in Rift Apart, it looks and moves like a pixar movie

The way certain events of the original, the characters and the story were handled felt pretty lame in comparison, like it was just a generic kids movie (kinda like the movie itself xD). It looks even better in person (not TH-cam) I just platinumed the game the other day and anyone who claims the graphics aren't that great are full of shit and clearly haven't actually played it.... It's amazing to look at; and even the story and gameplay are great.

La verdad que sí colega, algunos ejemplos a comparar del salto PS2 a PS3 serian: Vice City y San Andreas con GTA 4 y GTA 5, God of War 2 con God of War 3, Killzone 1 con Killzone 2, etc. Tal vez la novena generación (PS5, Xbox Series) sea el salto gráfico que estabamos esperando hace años, podemos mencionar a Black Myth: Wukong o Stalker 2, esta gen. recién esta empezando, no me imagino lo que se vendrá los prox. años. Ever since the first game, Insomniac appears to squeeze everything out the hardware with exceptional execution. I remember when the first Ratchet & Clank came out on PS2 and nearly every review critic compared it to a Pixar movie in video game form. When I look at and/or play a R&C game, it never seems like Insomniac is trying to catch up to the hardware, but that the hardware is trying to catch up to Insomniac.
Its crazy to think that a few weeks ago i decided to try the Ps4 Ratchet & Clank game on Ps5 and thought it looked amazing. Got Rift Apart yesterday and instantly it change to damn the Ps4 game looked like ass :)

Yo lo jugaría en modo rendimiento con Ray tracing. Tienes 60fps y buenos gráficos, el reescalado es muy bueno. Un amigo lo tiene y lo juega así, dice que apenas hay diferencia al modo calidad. Hay que estar fijándose en el fondo para notar la diferencia
como que es dificil acercarce a la perfeccion eso decias en ps3 con gta 5 despues salio ps4 con red dead ridepcion 2 y se violo al gta 5 sin problemas en los graficos

I have both versions. I remember back in 2004 playing the original Ratchet and Clank on the PS2. Then in 2020 I bought Ratchet and Clank for PS4. This remastered version. Very good game and I've played through it four times already. But then I saw comments that the original Ratchet and Clank was better. I then bought this Ratchet and Clank trilogy for PS3 and dug out my PS3 game console closet. Now I have to say that even though I've only played the PS3 version for a short time, the game is very different from the PS4 game. Even though the levels I've played are the same, they feel different. The PS4 game has better graphics and gameplay, but the PS3 version is definitely a better game.
Contrary to many commentators, it seems to me that between PS3 and PS5 the difference in graphics quality is exclusively quantitative, but not qualitative: more polygons, higher texture resolution, more small details in models, but fundamentally little has changed. It would be interesting to see the same comparison, but if the PS2-PS3 versions were rendered on an emulator with 4K resolution

Everything in the PS4 game was so halfassed. Every cutscene is just them standing in place with no interesting camera angles.

Jamás juego remasterizados (no me gusta jugar un juego que ya sé de qué va) y, afortunadamente, jamás he comprado un juego malo (mi colección de PS4 rebasa los 60 juegos y la de PS3, el cual conservó aún, es de 30+, así que creo que tengo más o menos un punto de comparación).

Siempre he considerado que no ha habido un salto tan grande en gráficos, como el que se dio de Play 1 a Play 2 y de Play 2 a Play 3. asi para no leer junto todo

Meme ratchet y Clank ps2
I have both versions. I remember back in 2004 playing the original Ratchet and Clank on the PS2. Then in 2020 I bought Ratchet and Clank for PS4. This remastered version. Very good game and I've played through it four times already. But then I saw comments that the original Ratchet and Clank was better. I then bought this Ratchet and Clank trilogy for PS3 and dug out my PS3 game console closet. Now I have to say that even though I've only played the PS3 version for a short time, the game is very different from the PS4 game. Even though the levels I've played are the same, they feel different. The PS4 game has better graphics and gameplay, but the PS3 version is definitely a better game.

well there was like 3 different model on ps3. the regular one,the nexus one and the all4one they all have their distinct style and shape.
Contrary to many commentators, it seems to me that between PS3 and PS5 the difference in graphics quality is exclusively quantitative, but not qualitative: more polygons, higher texture resolution, more small details in models, but fundamentally little has changed.
It would be interesting to see the same comparison, but if the PS2-PS3 versions were rendered on an emulator with 4K resolution
