Hi, I just found your channel and I really enjoy watching you , the way how you show and explain everything...it's great. I'm a beginner, and I love to see more videos of you and maybe just a little bit slower on the drums! What about the song " Faded " ....I would love to learn how to play it. Thank and keep up the good work 😀👍
@@rockyvsrambo82 Thank you for your response. Please don't ever stop your videos, I'll be lost without your teaching . Thank you also for your efforts, your time and everything. Great job 😀👍🙋♀️😊
Hi Loris. I think go with what ever feels most natural to you. There are many ways to spin the sticks. However, when the palm is facing you when you spin the stick, it actual does spin anti-clockwise. Thus, I think we are on the same path...
@@rockyvsrambo82 Also depends on which hand you're using. In penspinning this trick is called "charge". If you do it in the right hand the charge goes clockwise, and "charge reverse" goes anti-clockwise. With left hand it's the other way around. The weird thing is that going reverse with either hand feels weird for most people, even tho the direction is the opposite.
Hey there fellow drummer... There no one reason alone... But, the possible reasons are 1: It looks really cool 2: Its fun to do 3: It gives the drummer attention and focus 4: It looks artistic and sophisticated 5: It gives the drummers something extra to do 6: It adds to the intensity of the music from a visual standpoint
Hi there Pokemon... Yes, I guess it take take a bit of getting used to. A little practise at a time. Eventually the fingers will get used to it... Let us know how you progress.
I have been practicing this for nearly every single day for almost two months now - and the best I'm able to do is the side to side motion. No matter how hard I try or how much I practice, I can't seem to make the stick go in a circle motion to save my life. Very frustrating. Oh well. Think I'll just try to master the whole stick tossing and catching trick instead. LOL Thanks for the great tutorial!
Maybe add a bit of circlular motion with the arm to further encourage the stick to move in circular motion... Well done for your consistency and practise! Great job!
Nah, can't do it! Been drumming for years (basic level for fun) never mastered the stick twist thing. I swear learning a basic 4/4 beat is easier than twirling a stick. Hell, I'd say trying to learn to drum like Neil Peart is probably easier than stick twirling! 😂
That is pretty good man. You make it look really good. Thanks man
This is sick can't wait to do a lot of tricks during concerts. Ty for this!
awesome!!
keeps slipping out my hands how do I stop this?
Awesome lesson man.

Well I hope you found this helpful then... Getting techniques with drumming takes time and patience... All the best!
Hi David - I find it easier trying to spin it anti clockwise - any diff ? Cheers

Ни слова не понимаю по английски, но как вращать понял! Получилось! Спасибо!
приятно слышать, что видео было полезно. Надеюсь, у тебя все хорошо, и продолжай крутить палки, мой друг.
Hey man, can i ask why drummers twirl their drumsticks?

Neat. Some of us painters do this trick with our paintbrushes too. XD
Awesome... Thats really cool...
Like that
Good amazing
Thank you!
When I try to do the trick my fingers hurt!
Hi there Pokemon... Yes, I guess it take take a bit of getting used to. A little practise at a time. Eventually the fingers will get used to it... Let us know how you progress.
My stick just seems to bounce around everywhere. Amazing how i have rhythm on drums but not when it comes to spinning the damn stick hahahaa
Took me a few minutes to do it slowly. Also I found clockwise to be much easier
Awesome to hear Sibi... Keep spinning!

Twirling a drumstick isn't really all that hard. I learned it back in the 1980's and I use it every day.
Not that hard right.... takes months to master it 😂
Hi Martijn Yeah, you are right... It takes a while, like anything, to master it... Keep at it...
