- So I finally received my Cake Kalk Or electric motocross MTB hybrid machine. This is a super powerful electric motorbike that is in between a mountain bike and a full blown mx race bike. With 3 different power modes from chill to extreme and its heavy duty build this thing is designed to be thrashed! I first got to ride one of these in Sweden when I last went over to visit Max Fredriksson and now I lucky enough to have one! The first spot we went to was my local woods where we have MTB trails and other guys have taken motorbikes so we thought it would be a good place to start followed by a cool moto trial spot. I finish the video off with some left over clips from Tokyo, Japan that I filmed with Max Fredriksson while out shooting the most recent HOW I SEE IT video! There's also some fun clips in the video with my girlfriend as we explore tokyo's fish market and shibuya!

The amount of torque that thing puts down instantly is honestly scary.
277lb of torque is crazy, I'd love to see it luna cycles rolling road see if it really does put out that much if it does OMG that thing must be so much fun..

Dave Webster its 277 nm not lb/ft. ..think its something like 204 foot pounds of torque...
A larger sprocket up front, or a smaller in back... She's good to go... Seems about right as stock though.

Especially considering the 2 wheel spaceships (real dirtbikes) you can get for that price, or a ktm freeride which is basically the same thing but looks good, for 8k. I dont imagine they sell a whole lot of these “cake” bikes in north america

Because there is no large spinning engine the bike has less gyroscopic effect to keep the bike upright.
JAPAN IS DOPE AF! You should rent motorcycles and tour the countryside. I did 1600 miles two years ago and will be visiting again to ride again. You see so much more of Japan that way and it's not very expensive.

I love how huge the rear sprocket is because there's no gears on the electric motor. All the torque all the time.
TokinToph that’s not how gears work. If you have only one gear it’s a called a single, which is what most cake bikes have, including this one
The smaller countershaft sprocket is attached to the engine. (2) The larger rear sprocket is attached to the rear wheel. The two sprockets are measured by their number of teeth. As a quick rule of thumb, the more teeth on the rear sprocket, the lower the gearing. Conversely, the fewer teeth on the countershaft sprocket, the lower the gearing.
But the guy above means is it doesn't have a transmission.
Electric motors already have all torqur all the time regardless of gearing.
The cake is under tired for the ammount of power.

I noticed when you were riding the electric dirtbike as you Were doing jumps the back wheel stopped in the air It’s okay if you did that but if it’s doing it by itself That could be very bad for doing big jumps As it will throw you forward

I'm thinking an electric with grunt would compliment the body assist variation and further hown in my skillset and get more in tune with that mind blowing velocity.

That's a shame, because that looks fun as hell. I would consider one if it were around 7, but even then, you could buy a nice dirt bike for that.

@@SSH01 batteries are $$$$ for that watt output. I've looked at building a decent ebike and it gets very expensive when you exceed the 500 Watts range. Allot of that has to do with the batteries and the controllers not to fry those batteries.
Typical ebikes that will do 25-35mph commuting duty are getting very affordable (they are all over NYC), but something that can lay torque down like this thing is still "exotic".
Give it another 5-10 years and it's going to be much more inline with gas dirt bikes prices.
I like the idea of an electric dirt bike being an outdoors type person.... Noise is way reduced. Gas bikes are great but I think given time the edirt bikes can be just as fun and way less maintenance.
