When Munich happened, the easiest thing he could have done was pack in the game, and nobody could've blamed him, but he went on to become not only Man Utds best player, but England's as well, he transcended 2 golden generations of Man Utds history as Gary Neville said... With the passing of Bobby Charlton, I feel an entire generation of stars and celebs from my childhood are passing into history. People like this should be appreciated while there still here. In my 60's now, so lucky to grow up in some incredible sporting, music and movie times, amazing to look back on, but so saddened when these legends pass on.

I wasn't born when he won the World cup in 66 or the European cup in 68...but as a UNITED Fan i have watched so much footage of him that he made me smile he Truly was Remarkable.
