You gotta hold for the big wins. Scaling out is OK. But if you have cushion, keep some. That half of a position you keep can make your year. Nio I'm up over 145 % on the last piece. Can give it lots of wiggle room for potentially a year plus hold. Who knows.

I’m with you Chris. If overall market is good I am letting em run and even adding a tiny bit sometimes. Up 80% on peloton for example and picked up a bit more today.

Taking some profits works for me as I hate seeing stocks drop a lot with a full position especially when you see the signs on the charts.

Why would one sell a stock with strong earnings n sales growth, leading a bull market & making fresh highs for just 15-20%? Fear of losing profits? It's like paying 1 mil for a Ferrari and then driving it at 50 miles coz you fear accidents
50% at 20%, move stop to break even?, trail under 30 ma ?
Some traders work the answer into their trade rules. We never give up more than 1/2 of the gain if up more than 15%
The guy is too impulsive. I don’t think impulsive people should be giving stock market advice.
