Mark's books are fantastic. Lot of trading books you don't need to read (same stuff repeated), but his are important reads.

I have been trading for about 6 months now and just about every trade slaps me in my face. Nearly impossible for me to catch more than a few points . I try to do top down analysis and MTF analysis, but it doesn't work for me . I say to myself, clearly I'm in the 90% that lose money, so I open a demo account, do my analysis, then take the opposite of what I would normally take(I know, it sounds stupid but I was desperate) and get the same result. I'm starting to feel hopeless, any advice for a struggling trader?

Your problem could be that your stop loss is way too close or you're watching your trades too much. Place it and walk away. Or you could just give up, trading isn't for everyone.

@@cheryldavidson9828 Don't let him discourage you, don't give up. Trading takes years to master, even the pros learn everday. Never the less, if you lose money no matter which side you take, maybe you need to look at how you are managing active trades rather than how you are entering them, moving stops to BE may help. My advice, find a mentor . And also, try incorporating the use of oscillators or rsi into your strategy to make your entries better and prevent overtrading. And most importantly move to higher TFs(4h or 1D preferably), you'll thank me later .

@@raysmith94 You're right, I don't lose money every single trade, but my main problem is trying to let my runners run. Very rarely do I catch big moves . Instead they go a few pips in my direction, then go against me if when I try holding them. Also my entries could use a lot of improvement. A mentor would be amazing, but getting one is easier said than done. If it's not too much to ask, do you know any?

@@veronicamia4450 I believe the most important thing you should always keep in mind is to be patient and staying away from higher Time-frames. I know getting a mental is really hard as most institutional traders don't even take retail traders seriously. I was lucky to meet one at a securitization forum though, she helped fine tune my trading strategy and since then I have been making at least $3000 per week. What I'm trying to say is that the business world entails you going out there to meet new people so as to progress, her name is jessica pierson by the way.

@@raysmith94 I think I have seen this name on a trading forum before, on discord one time, is she really that good ? And how may I contact her if that isn't too much to ask.

i think US stocks is way more easier to buy right above the pivot under 1%,asia stock market moves so much faster always break out of the pivot in few second more than 5% you dont even have time to react to it

Make sure that institutions hold a majority of the shares and that the stock is liquid as well and not these manipulated small shares stocks that the market maker manipulates for the small number of shares holders of a small share stock. Also, make sure that the momentum and volume justifies the stock price. Poker players would make the best stock traders and stock traders would make great poker players.
