Just like vixx they do debut with bright concept. They do have a lore, hence you will notice there's ongoing theme like dopplegangers etc. Which is very consistent through several series of albums

And do watch 'so gravity' mv. It's a self composed and they directed the mv themselves as part of their diy projects of you look up verivery diy then you will see a lot of their self produced project which they did everything including the editing.

Tap tap is that bright mv you need to watch. The best thing about verivery is they always presents new sound and style.

Thanks for reacting! Verivery is so underrated (they debuted on the same day as Oneus!) but they're never afraid of going against the grain and doing their own thing!

If you want to listen to their brighter songs I recommend my favorite title track of all time from them - Tap Tap. They have a lot of positive b-sides but as for title tracks their earlier songs indeed are brighter (than for example the O album) like Ring Ring Ring, From Now and Super Special (predebut song). In general I think Lay Back, G.B.T.B and Thunder are a must watch mvs from them. If you want to listen more to their vocals they also have a playlist on their yt channel called veri-ground where they posted covers or a few original songs if I remember correctly. And a lot of them are really good! Gyehyeon (the member who's voice you said you liked in Crazy Like That) even covered Baekhyun's Bambi!
Yes Verivery I love them so much! Undercover was my soty last year and my favorite Verivery song hell its my 2nd favorite kpop song ever!
i'm so happy you're checking out verivery! they're one of my ult groups, i got to see them live and it was amazing, they're all so sweet.
the kidnapping in the beginning of 'get away' is to explain minchan's absence in the storyline, he was on a mental health break at the time so they added his disappearance into the story. there are 7 seats, 7 forks, 7 beds, etc to include him in small ways. he's currently on another mental health break which is why he isn't in the 'crazy like that' mv either.
they do have a story that runs through the majority of their mvs, some are more directly connected than others. 'tag, tag, tag' is where the storyline really starts release-wise, followed by 'lay back' and 'thunder' to set a lot of the reoccurring themes. between 'get away' and 'undercover' there's 'trigger', which is the link between those 2 mvs. between those sets of 3 there's 'g.b.t.b.', one of my favorites and might be tied with 'beautiful-x' for most favorite after experiencing it live

such a shame you didn't react to their earlier stuff 😭😭 they literally have my favorite brighter boygroup songs, like "From Now", "Tag Tag Tag" and "Ring Ring Ring". with that said, i think "Lay Back" is like one of my fav songs of all time tbh
I would highly recommend Thunder and Layback which came out before these songs. Also, Trigger which came out in the last cpl years. The bridge on that song is heavenly.
I love verivery so much and they are super underrated. I've seen them twice live and they are amazing . All their music is great but get away and lay back are my all time favorite songs from them 💜

You may notice that in Get Away and Crazy Like That there are only 6 members, this is due to their 7th member Minchan taking separate hiatuses for his severe anxiety 😢 Tomorrow their leader will begin his enlistment, so you're actually jumping in at a good timing to catch up to all their releases if you want haha.
VERIVERY did start with bright concepts, but the plan for their gradually darkening storyline already began by predebut.
They're known to experiment with both bright and dark concepts as well as various sounds, so they've covered quite a lot of genres in their five year discography. If you want to hear their brighter music then you can start from : Super Special (predebut), RingRingRing (debut), From Now, Tag Tag Tag (this is where their lore officially begins!), and Tap Tap (the prequel to Crazy Like That).
For more vocal highlights I highly recommend watching their It's Live performances of Eleven by IVE and Undercover. Or they have their own series of vocal covers in their VERI-GROUND playlist. Definitely recommend Yeonho's cover of Driver's License and Gyehyeon's cover of Bambi!
