There's a lot to love in this video. First off, pitting a (great portrayal of a) real person who had a lot of lives on his conscience against a comic book villain was a great move. I was already rooting for Oppenheimer for that reason. (I'm way more history nerd than comic book/superhero nerd.) Thanos had some great flows which I really enjoyed, but his line about Oppenheimer's "haunting guilty conscience" actually gave Oppenheimer a lot of ammunition and makes him seem like a much more interesting character (or historical figure) and in fact Thanos is kind of hamstrung because the character is just not that expressive, as opposed to Oppenheimer's more nuanced portrayal. By the way, if you haven't seen that infamous interview, you might want to watch it. Hearing him speak really gives you a sense of how messed up he was by the consequences of his invention, and you can hear his exact quote from the Bhagavad-Gita (which is more impressive when you consider that the quote wouldn't have been common knowledge at the time.) His "I am become deaf" line is my absolute favorite in the video. Not only is it a great reference, but the nonchalant delivery cracks me up. But also, he's a little scary dropping some of those lines. The way he delivers "You wanna talk about death?" you can tell he's dead serious. Even his trash-talking at the end hits hard. Great reaction!
